Pros +
- Incredibly friendly and historic hotel in beautiful Guadix. Located on a quiet back street close to the cathedral and convenient for exploring the old town. Parking nearby was easy to find, and staff was very kind.
- Typical Spanish old style hotel with marble and wrought iron staircases.Nice room with a balcony that captured the late afternoon sun!Didn’t indulge in the spa or restaurant nor breakfast but the room was fine.
- The hotel was good, nothing specifically good or bad.
Cons -
- Breakfast could have been better.
- Nothing really. Great value.
- The breakfast was, let’s say underwhelming… some fruits were already rotten, one month over date oat milk, yolk in boiled eggs got bluish cause they were cooked probably quite a few days ago, one cake was definitely over date too. Plates and cutlery were a bit dirty. But the breakfast is optional, it is not included in the room rate.

Hotel was really lovely, very comfortable room.
Evening meal was very poor. Food was not cooked well. Fortunately the three course meal was cheap, but wouldn't book it again. Surprising that a hotel of that standard serves such poorly cooked food. Was a shame, as everything else about the hotel was great.
Good location
Saunas and jacuzzis not in so good condition
Beautiful hotel building , comfy beds and great location.
Breakfast was not good enough and very limited provision for food allergies, one roll in four days!
It was such a perfect location for us as we were competing only metres away. Great staff and fab facilities to include a spa. I would highly recommend.
There was no pool.
Very friendly staff - made feel very welcome. Brilliant location
We couldn't turn off the heating - the room was quite warm but we were able to open the window so all was good
Breakfast was good
Coffee in the room would have been good and no water in the room so could be better
Well located in the heart of town
The matrasses were too soft and the springs were worn. I woke up with backpain.
The location is excellent. It is what I call a classic Spanish hotel, wood paneling everywhere, that incense used in churches greeting you, plenty of old world furniture -- generally a nice old building and well maintained. The price was excellent and good value for money for our one night stay. We didn't use the spa or restaurant so can't comment on that. The staff were very friendly though and you can park outside the hotel whilst dropping off and picking up luggage. We would stay here again for sure.
There is no hotel parking, but there is plenty of free street parking close by, which we were directed to by the receptionist. The only thing I think could be improved slightly was the meal time, we have a 15 month old daughter and 8pm was too late to give her dinner, so we didn't use the restaurant for this reason and headed into town to feed her somewhere earlier. I appreciate this is more of a Spanish cultural thing, but having some food available at an earlier time would no doubt be appreciated by international travellers and young children who don't eat so late. Just some feedback, apart from that, lovely hotel.
Clean, friendly staff and secure parking nearby!

Not a lot.The hotel is listed as a 4 star however it should be downgraded as it's by no means a hotel of 4 star quality .It needs refurbishing, a different attitude and a new chef .The bar was devoid of patrons as was the restaurant. The food was mediocre to say the least and instead of the usual hum of customers enjoying their drink or meal, the only sound came from the televisions in both areas. We stayed for two nights however the room wasn't made up or cleaned in between
What we don't like is to see hotels that were once good quality judging by the fixtures and fittings being so badly run.It needs new management and revamping
Location was good
Very little staff working for such a big hotel ...Had to wait for spa staff but no one arrived ...had to go to reception but no one in reception either...Went to bar that evening got a drink but when I went to leave I could not find bar staff to pay ?
Excellent massage. Fab breakfast with home made cakes.
Dark room. Parking a long way away.
Location. Restaurant is basic but good, like home cooking. Very good value
Probably a grand hotel that needs some basic upgrades. The spa... again, probably good at the time it was built; sauna and jacuzzi ok, all else so so. Garage location and building.... grateful to have one, but weird (cumbersome to get to, poor sinage, lighting)
The property was very nicely situated for shops, restaurants and bars.
Strong smell from the sink in the bathroom, it needs to be fitted with a trap!
Nice old building
Had to park away from the property was not easy to find.
It is a lovely hotel in the heart of the city centre. It is well maintained and a typical Spanish style hotel with lots of dark oak panels. Would I stay here again? Definitely.
Breakfast was a little basic. But the cakes that were provided were excellent.
Beautifully presented, very clean hotel in the centre of the Pueblo.Friendly and helpful staff.
Everything was fine.
