Bastion Hotel Geleen

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is convenient, especially for catching the bus, and although it’s a bit farther from the train station, it’s still within comfortable walking distance.The breakfast was very good, with a nice selection to start the day. A special mention goes to the morning waiting staff – incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They really made the mornings feel warm and relaxed.Overall, everything was smooth and enjoyable. Would happily stay again!

Large room. Large car park. Easy access from the motorway. The restaurant is provides enough choice. The staff are very friendly.

This is a easy to access hotel close to the highway. The rooms are nice and clean, and look like the photos. For the price its a great hotel. We did not use the restaurant so we can't comment on that

Some extra coffee in the rooms will be great

The room size was comfortable, the WC/shower room was big and bright, bed was comfortable as well. What I also like was the 2*double glasses, which kept the room warm

The light in the bed room was so dark, too dark, only bed lights + one very dark pendant light on the corner. The location is quite out-off-the-way, also if you drive with your car, be careful of the entrance of cars because it's close to traffic stoplights and when you turn right there is a bicycle path right next to lanes to go through before you enter the parking lot. During sleeping the windows occasionally made weird soft sound and was last for couple hours (or maybe the whole night)

Conveniently located near a highway, relatively large room, large shower, fridge, clean, free and ample parking.

Rooms comes with a coffeemaker, but there is no water boiler to make tea. At check out, staff has tried to charge me restaurant expenses from someone else twice.

Location is good and it is clean. All in all good. The room is spacy enough and you can open up the windows if you want to. There is parking on site after you enter the gate.

The beds were too soft, really soft and because of that we didn't sleep well. There is heating/airco in the room, but the bathroom has no separate heating which makes it cold for our taste. Lastly, the manual shower has a hook that is really low. The rain shower doesnt have that much pressure as the small one but you cannot hang it high. We got 3 towels, but nothing for the floor which was standard we were told. They did give us an extra towel when we asked for it.

Position - a short way from the motorway (but quiet) which is ideal for a stopover. Large car park. Large room. The restaurant is OK and the staff friendly.

Room lights a bit dull, would be nice if rooms could be a bit lighter in order to read easily - but this is a minor thing.

Used for an overnight stop; the hotel is a few hundred meters from the motorway and therefore easy to get to. The room and the bathroom are a nice size. A lot of parking.

The weekend menu is limited compared to the weekday one.

Friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner, clean room.

Noisy water sound in the pipes in the ceiling all night. No working lamps or lights. Most of electric sockets didn't work and my phone kept dying in the night while I was connected to the wifi

The breakfast... At 46.5 euros It is a robbery. Even the best of hotels do not have breakfast this expensive for the kind of spread. The difference between breakfast cost if not booked at the time of booking is more than 100%. It's like paying a 100% penalty for not booking breakfast early..

Used it for an overnight stop between the UK and Southern Germany. The hotel is a minute or so off the motorway - easy to get to. A very large car park. Hotel room was large - and amazingly had two comfortable chairs in it! . Although they have a restaurant we didn't eat there due to a late arrival and early onward journey. Almost opposite the hotel is a petrol station which was good to know about. Will use the hotel again for a similar purpose.

Nothing - The hotel is very visible but we missed the entrance. Bigger signs for the entrance would be an advantage and a note about how to get the barrier to lift on the car park (Just press the bell sign).
