room is good, with a good working air-conditioning. The toilet is to small ; for us not a problem

very bad experience. we have been several times because of a business trip. the hotel needs renovation. also it is dirty. I'm talking about the bath, carpeting, bed covers. last time we found even dirty bedding and socks in it.

Nice staff, good location, good local restaurant.

It was pretty tricky to find the night entrance, there should be some signposts.

The location is perfect, the rooms are clean, and the attached restaurant is cozy and welcoming.

Dated - very! Not changed much in 20 years but worst thing having to check out by 10!

The property has a prime location on the main square at the start of the antique market. The location is very convenient.

The staff were not especially friendly. Pretty apathetic toward foreigners.

The bed was a great size, but not comfortable. It had a mattress topper that was lumpy, couldn't take it off the bed as very heavy and nowhere to put it. Bedroom area was fairly clean apart from dust on the heater/airco unit in Bedroom. Bathroom was clean, again, apart from the heater on the wall, the controls were dirty and the dust on the vents looked like it had been there for about 6 months.

The location is perfect - not far away from the station, and perfect for the Sunday Flea Market and a wander into the town. The room was big, clean, and had a great view. I was pleased a fan had been provided along with water. Staff were helpful and friendly (including an early check in), and I was able to lock my bike away in an outside building.

Maybe I stayed in an older part of the hotel, but it definitely needs some updating as some parts feel really dated. It was also really warm when I stayed, so air-con would have been really useful. For the price I paid, I would had expected breakfast fast to be honest, and the early check out (10am) was a little too early.

Given very bad advice on parking, local car park over charging !!, be aware of street parking !! Free parking available but you need to check it out !

Ambiotel has a basic but good product, while nothing fancy all the basics where provided.Good breakfast selection as well. And the home-made omelet was great.

Check out unfortunately was very early. During dinner the most attention went to a group who booked more nights there.

The little rooms with the toilet inside each room are to tiny and the main room door needed some tlc!

Location. It is quite central. If you stay overnight from Saturday to Sunday make sure you do not park your car on the streets but only on level -2 (not even -1) of Julianus parking place. It is Antique market on Sunday and your car will be towed.

The staff in the evening hours while checking in was quite rude and did not provide much information. Did not even direct towards the stairs or the elevator. The smell of mould in the room. There were also 2 nails protruding dangerously from the wall.

Not luxury, but good value for the price. The breakfast appeared very expensive at €25 per person, so we gave it a miss.

The restaurant it’s very good.

The room smell like cigarette and it was so bad that even my clothes had the smell when we left the hotel. The hotel it’s very old so de A/C sound a lot and we couldn’t turn it on in the night because of that. So we had to sleep with that smell all night and the next morning I woke up with a headache very rare in me.

Central location suited us really well for access to the Sunday antiques market. Room was clean with a view of the market place.Would stay again if we returned to Tongeren

The meals. Breakfast was average and the meal we took in the evening in the restaurant was rather bad, also a rather unfriendly service.

The breakfast was poor. Plus, I was charged for it even though it was supposed to be included in the price quoted by Booking.com

I was quoted a price by Booking.com and charged 50 Euro more than the quote.
