Lovely hotel, with a historical feel, super comfortable, with very friendly personnel, also dog friendly. Much recommended!

This is a spectacular building in a good location. It is worth exploring the building a little and on the first floor up an 'oval' staircase there is a good display covering the history. Breakfast was of good quality. There are some really good restaurants in easy walking distance

I use this frequently as a stop over when driving through Europe. I love the location, the town, the rooms are clean and comfortable. On a Saturday the local market is great.

Beautiful building, fantastic bed, dog friendly, beautiful gardens!

The abbey is a very unusual and for us interesting and pleasant combination of hotel and cultural center. Excellent breakfast. Extremely helpful and friendly staff.Lively town with excellent restaurants within walking distance.

A lift would be nice to take the luggage to the upper floor. The information signs could be more open regarding the age and historic authenticity of the building. It is mostly a modern reconstruction.

The abbaye is so beautiful, the room very spacious, beds confortable

The breakfast was too simple, and the pillows too hard tFor us.

Beautifully renovated monastery with plenty of history. Very comfortable and clean. Bed and bedding was as good as it gets. We woke up in the morning with our window open onto the central courtyard…birds singing…magical.

Staff was average…particularly kitchen staff…Breakfast mediocre buffet style…advise going to one of the nearby cafes instead. Popular venue for seminars etc so expect lots of activity on the weekends in particular.

No restaurant but good restaurant in town that was walkable

Excellent location in a lovely town. Just a short walk to the centre. Easy parking. Amazing building.

    9JohnPosted on: 10-23-2024

Unique property and a great experience.

Rooms are very spartan and harsh- adding some decor, color and art would really improve the experience. Had a river view room, but also overlooked a low roof where lights and equipment seem to be stored, which hurt the ambience.

    8RosaPosted on: 10-19-2024

Set in the renovated abbey which was destroyed during World War Two, the room was comfortable and had all you needed and had a little kitchen too. You get to look around the Abbey and the gardens for free. Lots of interesting information about the rebuilding post war

Easy to walk into the main parts of town.Very large room, good bathroom. Separate toilet.Plenty of heating - which we needed as we’d got really wet during the day.View over inner courtyard - we could see where the motorbike was parked.Coffee machine in corridor -as well as tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Hotel part felt impersonal and lacking in character, considering it’s in a historic Abbey. But fine for one night.

    10LisaPosted on: 9-25-2024

Our second visit here, lovely abbey hotel, really nice helpful staff. Rooms are lovely with comfortable beds. Breakfast is very good value. Short walk to town square with good restaurants and bars. Can highly recommend Au Balcon restaurant in the square. Super hotel and we can’t wait to come back.
