Pros +
- The welcome from Joaquin was so warm and friendly. Every request was never any problem, such as extra pillows. He was very informative about the local restaurants and bars. We needed a relaxing weekend, and this hotel certainly ensured that we did! We were not disappointed with anything - especially the breakfast - pata negra as the Spanish say!!!!
- Everything, beautiful hotel, very friendly owner. Fabulous breakfast and quiet location within walking distance to everything ?
- Nice hotel, great view, breakfast and most of all a wonderful and genuine welcome from Joaquín.
Cons -
- Minor detail, I would have liked a matt for the shower as I found the tray a little slippy underfoot.Other than that, nothing, it lived up to reviews.
- I was on the ground floor just off the reception area, and a couple decided to stay up talking in the foyer/reception area until after midnight.

Nice hotel, great view, breakfast and most of all a wonderful and genuine welcome from Joaquín.
The hotel itself is lovely but it’s the people there that make it extra special. I really felt like an old friend that was given a special welcome. Very comfortable room, lovely terrace and the next morning a delicious breakfast as well.
This gem is located at an authentic beachside village. It is perched on the hillside with lovely bay views and cool afternoon breezes. The hosts are lovely and welcoming, and the breakfast is superb.
Staying at this hotel was like stepping into a living, breathing art gallery from a bygone era. The walls are adorned with old documents, exquisite art pieces, and fascinating maps that tell stories of the past, giving the entire place a unique and enchanting vibe. Tucked away in the hills, it's secluded enough that you feel far removed from the hustle and bustle of Calabardina, almost like you've discovered a hidden gem in a remote town. It's a truly unique experience—a place where you can easily lose yourself for hours, admiring the beautiful art and soaking in the magnificent views. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat with a touch of history and elegance, this is the perfect spot.
I booked on the strength of the reviews I had read and I was not disappointed. The owners are very relaxed and make sure that you feel welcome. The views from the room we booked were excellent. Sea view from one window and a mountain view from the other.I liked the proximity of the hotel to the beach, an easy stroll to the coastline and the restaurants but far enough not to hear the noise from them. We booked during the Spanish holiday, and the beachfront was mobbed till late at night, but it did not affect our sleep. The rooms are fairly basic, but they are comfortable and spotless. The en suite bathroom was really nice, too.The breakfast on the terrace looking across the bay was my highlight, and I will be booking again in September. It was also excellent value for money. The owners have some interesting historical maps and artwork on display around the house and it enhances the experience of staying there. We only spent one night there but I would have liked more.

Joaquim was a wonderful host. The breakfast (and espresso coffee) was the best I had my whole stay in the Almeria area.
I was on the ground floor just off the reception area, and a couple decided to stay up talking in the foyer/reception area until after midnight.
Fantastic location, super clean, and a fantastic breakfast

What a lovely surprise. This boutique hotel is a real gem and beautifully maintained. Breakfast on the terrace was delightful.
Breakfast were very very good. A lot better than an ordinary continental breakfast. Location was lovely near the beach with views and awesome Mountain View’s behind. Quiet location too.
There wasn’t anything not to like
A beautiful quiet village by the sea with interesting areas nearby. Feels more like being a personal guest than a customer.
Excellent customer service, position of hotel in beautiful area with lovely views.Delicious breakfast. Just perfect.
We absolutely loved our stay the host was exceptional and the breakfast was delishious, resturants were a quick walk to the beach, several great resturants. We had this delishious pastry from the host which made our drive so much better. Thank you again!
We loved everything!
Perfect locationFlexibility of staff.Perfect communication .Warm check-in
Beautiful view of the city.
Breakfast could have a larger selection, not only served breakfast.
The hotel had lovely terraces on different levels with either sea or mountain views. Breakfast was a delicious platter of smoked salmon, cheese, salad, croissants & toast. Our host, Joaquin, couldn't have been more helpful.
Excellent host, went above and beyond ensuring we had a very comfortable stay, very knowledgeable of the area. Rooms were beautiful with lovely views and lots of quiet places to eat and relax throughout the property.
This is an amazing place - calling it just a hotel doesn't do it justice! Joaquin has clearly put all his heart and soul into this. We only stayed overnight, but he was realy accommodating with the late check-in and made sure we were greeted with a nice breakfast (quite) early in the morning. This is also by far one of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed in. Great parking area right in front of the house as well. If you are looking for a place in the area, look no further - Joaquin will make sure you have a perfect stay. This was our last stop on the way back home after two weeks of travels through Spain, south of France, and Andorra. Having stayed in 8 different hotels throughout the journey, this one was definitely the highlight / one of the best ones - made us not want to go home:)(The only reason it's not 5 stars on Google is because of a review that was clearly written in error)
Not a negative, just an FYI - as this is a house, there's no lift. It is also in a residential area so slightly off the "main road", but roads are in a good state and not too narrow either. Also, rooms are not as spacious as some of the roadside hotels might offer, but even with a cot/pram we didn't feel too cramped.
beautifully positioned property, ample parking, beautiful views of the sea and the mountains, several terraces to eat out or relax.
nothing!
