Royal Hotel Versailles

Number of beds in room

Comfy bed, superb staff - warm and welcoming. I became ill during our stay and the staff went above and beyond.

All good.

The best part was the central location to the palace of Versailles as well as the numerous shops and restaurants all walking distance.

The lack of a kitchen/bar/restaurant.

Nice, clean and central hotel with great staff.

Staff was great and got me a taxi driver allowing me enough time to meet my horseback ride in Versailles

Good location to visit Versailles. Plenty of parking nearby.

A little overly protective of the *non-self service* breakfast bar. Do not approach it, not even to look!

Room was very good size for Versailles area and had the quaint touches of a historical hotel. The lift looked brand new and functioned that way even though it is over 22 years old baed upon the plate inside. Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful and spoke English pretty well. Location of hotel is not far from Versailles Palace and is walkable in about 15 minutes. Check in and check out were easy and there is after hours access to the hotel. Our room had a table fan which was also nice. Beds were firm, yet comfortable.

The only real complaint we had was about the hot water. If no one else in the building has been using it, hot water takes a long time to reach the shower and sink. We were on the third floor. The boiler presumably is in the basement.

The location to the Palace of Versailles and the train station was great! Both were a short walk. I recommend this place.

No AC, but a fan was provided, which was fine for me.

Location to the train station and the palace was ideal. Charmingly decorated rooms.

The location is unbeatable to visit the main attraction. The convenience story is across the street. Very friendly and helpful personal. Definitely it’s not a luxury hotel in Versailles but it serves the purpose for the short stay.

Very loud and strange noise to flush off the waiter in the toilet.

Close to the Versailles, great to go to the park of Versilles at evening. The receptionst was really kind. Bads are comfortable, clean. I would go there again.

The owners are kind and helpful. Due to train problems, I arrived from Amboise after 10 p.m., and they kindly waited for me to check in at an unusual time. The breakfast was excellent with homemade delicious jams. i.e., 1) raspberry with chia seeds 2) Fig jam. I have got the recipe and hope I can make it. The hotel is clean and well organised. It is a 10-minute walk from the Versailles Palace and Gardens. The connection to Paris is also quite easy. There is a wonderful market on specific days. I was there on Saturday and could visit it. Again, it is walking distance from the hotel. I am looking forward to visiting Versailles again and staying at this hotel. Thank you very much!

Location spectacularly close to Versailles and staff so helpful. Yummy breakfast.

Great location. Comfortable. Helpful friendly staff.

Location excellent near Versailles walking distance and located in village of Versailles - owners were wonderful and very accommodating to us - we were two couples traveling together - it worked perfectly for us

No air conditioning - had to have windows open all night - small city noises but it was tolerable - was still warm without : / luckily I brought a small fan - and it wasn't heat of summer !

5 minutes from the station, 10 minutes from the Palace, very big and comfortable beds (two double beds), rather quiet, cafes and mini supermarket in 1 minutes

Mostly clean but old facilities and furniture, some receptionists did not speak English well

The room was clean and the facilities exactly as described. Hotel was in a great location easy walking distance to train stations, shops, cafes, restaurants and the Palace of Versailles.

The location was good, easy to walk from the train station and all around the town. The Palace was also within 20 minutes walk. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was fairly comfortable and the shower was good.

The room was a bit basic with a worn carpet and the towels could have been better. There was a socket at one side of the bed but not both. The kitchenette did not have a toaster and you had to pay extra if you wanted capsules for the coffee machine.

This is an excellent family run hotel in a superb location, conveniently situated for the Palace and a short stroll from the RER station. The area felt safe at night and there was a good choice of restaurants nearby. Very good value for money and we would definitely stay here again.
