Richmond Pamukkale Thermal

Large property catering to tour groups. Indoor and outdoor hot spring pools. Half pension is a great deal, dinner and breakfast were very good. Property shows some aging, but still very comfortable.

I got sick because of bar drinks, they had charged me almost $20 for cocktails and I was in hospital for 2 days.

The shower was dirty and had mold all over, The thermal pool did not look like the one and the picture and the all of the hallways smell like mold and old, it was not as good as expected.

Food

Overall, the hotel is clean, including the rooms and common areas, except for the old carpet in the hallways and rooms. The mattress is very comfortable. The grounds are quite spacious and tidy, with a small turtle and a few cats living there. We appreciated the cat food and clean water provided for the animals.

The hotel's main focus is on guided bus tours, so don’t expect much in terms of service. The gentleman who checked us in and out could barely speak English and had to use a translator to understand our requests and questions. Overall, we felt that the reception staff were not fully competent, and in general, the entire staff did not come across as friendly.The thermal spa did not appear very clean—there was what looked like mold floating in the water. Perhaps this is normal, but we had never seen anything like it before and didn’t feel it was safe to soak in.Several small things in the room weren’t functioning properly—for example, the toilet flush, sink drain, and shower. It wasn’t a major issue, but still disappointing and not what we expected from a 5-star hotel.

Free access to the spa center with 2 natural mineral pools and 1 regular big outdoor pool, 1 sauna, 1 Turkish bath, and a fitness. Excellent location 10min drive from South entrance and 3min from North entrance. Comfy and spacious room.

All big buses full of tourists stop here late afternoon to leave super early and enjoy the half board experience with the big buffet. Not a problem if that's your style of vacation.

Have sufficient free parking with roof cover, good breakfast and dinner.

Some of the facilities were outdated like the common bath taps were rusted. Separately, we had a half-board booking and had a bad surprise at the checkout that some things we were told were covered were not covered - so be very specific to check what is covered. For us, we were told at the check-in the tea & coffee in the afternoon is covered as part of the half-board. But at the checkout we received an extra charge for all the coffee and tea we ordered from barista, apparently only the tea& coffee that is available at the cafe for self-service was covered. We paid quite a lot as we don't come with a tour and booked ourselves. and the small charge for something due to miscommunication left really a bad taste for us at the checkout. Even if we questioned the charge, we were charged regardless.

- corner suite was exactly as pictured (the bath tub is high fyi so need to climb in/out to use shower), lovely quiet grounds. Clean thermal pool outside open until midnight and good quality and range of food: mezze better than mains. Even gave free wine and fruit for a birthday celebration! Hotel will call taxis which work by the meter so no surprise charges. Staff tried hard to communicate in english

Welcome to the 70’s

Beds were awful. Decor was extremely dated. Shower was over bath, very hard to access and extremely dangerous. Very low toilet, quite awkward. Meals were not great.

The pool only

The staff were horrible. Barely spoke English and would just stare at you and gossip with their colleagues, especially to non-Turkish people like us. One of my family members spoke Turkish but did not tell them so she could understand everything. The staff in the dining room specifically a guy named Sebhattin was HORRIBLE. Only because he did not speak English or understand as I was trying to simply explain what I wanted, he sighed out loud and covered his face in exasperation right in front of me was extremely rude and offending to be honest.

We loved the indoor and outdoor thermal pools, the dining was absolutely delicious, extremely varied hot and cold buffet style. Evening entertainment made for a nice relaxed evening. Rooms were spacious, clean and very very comfortable,

Spa

The staff is very friendly. When we checked in, one of the rooms wasn’t ready, meaning not cleaned. They upgraded both rooms even though only one of the rooms wasn’t ready. That was very nice and professional, we appreciated it.

Breakfast and dinner was delicious with good variety. Jacuzzi is nice and the thermal pools are pleasant. The view was beautiful. Taxi service is easy to organize.

Only one sandwich maker during breakfast. No body lotion in the room. No Tissues in the room.

Richmond Pamukkale has everything you could want in a thermal spa. There are a few hot outdoor pools with different temperaturs and hot indoor pools with saunas. Everything is very clean. The rooms were nice. It's a comfortable hotel in all ways. Kubilay the manager was very friendly too.

The food was good but the lines were a bit long and some of the salads not fresh. But for the price and food being included it's all good

We’ve stayed at other Pamukkale spa hotels before, but this was the best. More modern than other older properties, the facilities were great. Dinner/Breakfast buffets expansive with many different styles. Staff very attentive and helpful.

Excellent thermal pool on the property.

This resort is geared toward tourists that are brought by buses at night for a dinner and a breakfast the following day. There is hardly any food during lunch time. Since the resort is not close buy to any restaurant, it would be logical to offer a lunch. Some guest were able to book the hotel with 3 meals. I asked to purchase lunches but was denied by the front desk.

Location was good. Staff was pleasant.

Rooms were not value for money. The hotel needs an upgrade. The reservation was half board, which included dinner and breakfast.However, they cater mainly for big tours, so the food was below average. Did not suit our needs.
