    Pros +

    • Very helpful staff, called us a taxi and gave information we needed quickly. Excellent breakfast, cold cuts and plain yogurt + toppings. Room was cozy, though ours was right by the street and ended up being a little loud. Lovely place overall.
    • Perfect location. Centrally located and within easy walking distance to all attractions. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable.
    • Fantastic location! Looking out the window you could believe you time-travelled back in the Middle Ages... But the comfort of the room, bathroom and the exquisite breakfast bring you back to our times. The manager is very helpful and considerate. We would definitely stay there again!

    Cons -

    • The hot water was good but not endless.
    • Considering what most facilities are like in classical Italy, there was really nothing to complain about.
    • Room directly open to street, a bit noisy. Staff was not very fluent with English.

I’ll Duomo was centrally located in an upper part of Assisi which made it easy to get to upon arrival. Stephano and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Like most other hotels in centuries-old buildings, space was a challenge but the designers were very creative. This was easily the largest bathroom I’ve encountered and my wife had plenty of space to organize her supplies. The little patio (shared) with conversation tables was a welcome extra. The breakfast was generous with plenty of options for most tastes.

Considering what most facilities are like in classical Italy, there was really nothing to complain about.

Great location, but parking is a bit confusing regarding if non-resident can park inside the city wall or not.

Room directly open to street, a bit noisy. Staff was not very fluent with English.

Helpful staff. Clean room. Good breakfast.

    Nothing comes to mind.

Breakfast was great. I am allergic to dairy and my mother-in-law is intolerant to gluten, and we both found plenty to eat. Also, it should be mentioned that the hotel also runs a pizza restaurant next door, which is absolutely fantastic, and served the best pizza we found in Italy on our three-week trip. The staff was very helpful, and anytime I had a practical question, it was answered quickly and accurately.

The beds were uncomfortable for all three of us. We don't generally mind firm beds, but these beds were very hard. The only reason we slept at all was because we were still jet-lagged during the first night of our stay.

    8HannahPosted on: 10-9-2024

Breakfast was good. There were also a few gluten-free options. The room was clean, the water was hot. There was a fantastic pizza restaurant that was owned by the hotel, and very convenient. We were seated without a standing reservation. The staff were all very helpful with information about the town.

The beds were very uncomfortable (hard). The only reason any of us slept at all was because we were jet lagged on our first night there.

Great location, comfortable and clean room, excellent breakfast

Hallway noise, having to take elevator - no stairs

All Good! Great location, staff & breakfast, would definitely stay again when in Assisi!

parking was a bit complicated as in had to park a ways away from property.

We loved the quiet location looking across the hills and valleys of Assisi awsy from the hundred of group of people . The owners were courteous and helpful, the staff likewise invrvery way it was a delight to be there. The food was delicious to, excellent chef

The room we almost had to stay in because of a booking error!

    8TomPosted on: 9-5-2023

Wonderful city-centre location with beautiful views of Assisi through shuttered windows that oozed class. Bed was comfy, rooms were spacious, and breakfast was delicious.

    9JukkaPosted on: 5-25-2023

Right in the middle of old town, great view, friendly and helpful staff.

Parking is not easy! Smaller lot was full and discount for bigger one didn't work. Still, not too difficult considering the location. Breakfast was quite modest.

    Great location

Hard to find. There was a major walking event going on and roads were closed. The gentleman at the desk went above and beyond to help us.

    7DavidPosted on: 5-8-2023

We loved the location of the hotel, right in the center of Assisi, very close the San Rufino Cathedral. The staff was very gracious: due to a complete slowdown of the Italian Rail system, and thus arriving almost 8 hours later than our estimated arrival time (we arrived at 11 pm), a staff member stayed an hour later on a Saturday night to check us into our room. We saw that same staff member in the breakfast room at 7:45 am the next morning. Thanks for this amazing kindness. It appears that the hotel has been recently renovated and updated -very nice. The breakfast buffet is fantastic: a coffee machine that makes any kind of coffee desired, and the wide variety of delicious breakfast selections to satisfy any palate.

I wouldn’t recommend staying in room 12 if you are a light sleeper: it fronted both a lane and a street and was also located above the hotel’s kitchen, so it tended to be noisy. There was a big festival going on when we arrived, so the streets were full of enthusiastic festival attendees enjoying themselves. Ask for a room in the back around the central terrace.

    Great location. Good staff.

Not fully accessible. Not a great breakfast. Noises from other rooms heard easily. No water pressure in shower.

Very good located, comfortable, clean, nice breakfast, parking available for the cost at 7 euros a day. would stay there again for sure!

    Nothing bad to say!

    9LucitaPosted on: 11-4-2022

The facilities were nice but the hilly ascend to the building was difficult for us since we were all seniors. Additionally the staff was not very friendly..

The elevated location and the not so friendly staff.

    7SallyPosted on: 10-26-2022

The staff were very helpful and friendly and assisted with travel arrangements.

The rooms allocated to us were in awkward locations within the hotel and right by the street door, which made them noisy. This wasn’t mentioned in any information given. Also, we weren’t warned before we arrived that there would be an electricity cut from 4am to 9am on the first day of our arrival. We had no hot water for showers or lights for breakfast.
