    Pros +

    • Lovely views across the valley. Upgraded room was good.
    • Excellent hotel, peaceful and quite but close to the tourist hot spots
    • The staff was very kind. The location, a 20-25 minute walk outside the main part of the city was good. The views were incredible. The pool was very nice after a long hot day walking the hills of Assisi. The main lobby area and outside terraces are updated and beautiful. Great cappuccino at breakfast.

    Cons -

    • My initial room is a little small and gloomy, so I paid to upgrade to one of the larger rooms which was a significant improvement, although suffered from road noise as these are located very close to the road. The breakfast, as is often the case in Italy, was heavy on the sweet options, but light on more traditional mainstay products. The orange juice was nasty . No option to buy only a glass of wine at dinner. Dinner itself was OK but not of the highest quality.
    • The room we were given was very tiny and verrry hot, which made it hard to sleep. It was in need of updating As it’s very old and tired. The air conditioning is turned off automatically at times and there’s no cross-ventilation. If you left the windows open, the mosquitos would eat you alive. I specifically booked a hotel with A/C, so I could have a good nights sleep, as a peri-menopausal woman who needs to sleep with the room cold. WiFi rarely worked, even outside. The charges for a pool towel seemed like you were being nickel-and -dimed. I’ve never heard of that at any hotel in the world. You have a pool, you should have pool towels for your guests. You should definitely have a car if you want to explore the region.
    • It's not that I didn't like, but if you're lookig for a place that you just step out to the streets of the town, this isn't the place. I don't know if that's a negative point (for me it's a positive point) but you should know that.

Excellent location outside the centre of Assisi.Very nice and comfortable, large garden to sit when weather permits A WONDERFUL view of the valley from most or all rooms (we had 6 rooms, all with a wonderful view)

It's not that I didn't like, but if you're lookig for a place that you just step out to the streets of the town, this isn't the place. I don't know if that's a negative point (for me it's a positive point) but you should know that.

Location was wonderful. The exterior of hotel and pool is beautiful. Wait staff in restaurant were very nice.

The room was very hot as the AC was controlled by manager and only turned on low a few hours a day during extreme heat. The room averaged 81 degrees at night. The bed was rock hard as were the pillows. Mosquitos were abundant.

Hotel La Terraza, Assisi: A Perfect Family StayHotel La Terraza in Assisi is an absolute gem. We are a family of four from Argentina (my husband, two kids, and I). We had an exceptional stay, thanks to the kind hospitality and the hotel's many amenities. The hotel is impeccably clean and airy, offering spectacular bedroom views. Breakfast service was excellent, and the location is incredibly convenient, just steps from Assisi's historic center. We loved the immaculate gardens and the beautiful pool. The wellness center is a great bonus. Parking is also available. This hotel is a must-stay in Assisi. We will definitely return!

Beautiful well kept swimming pool. Nice walk to main part of Assisi.

Paying for a towel to use the pool.

Everything was perfect! The accommodations were very luxurious, view from our patio of the surrounding countryside was beautiful and breakfast was marvelous with many healthy choices. Staff more than accommodating.

Loved every aspect of the property.

What we liked: very friendly, helpful staff; conveniently located; free parking; great continental breakfast; very clean rooms; overall value; and beautiful view from balconies. What could be improved: softer, more comfortable beds; and updated decor in rooms.

The room was very clean. Bed comfortable-breakfast wonderful with many different options, Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful view from the hotel of Assisi.

    All was great!

Ideally set in a peaceful and tranquil surroundings. Great front desk staff.

My room had a bedroom window overlooked by the next door terrace. No privacy. Bathroom window had a thin curtain and completely exposed to a public passage way a few metres away. Sagging bedroom door making it hard to open. Reported it to front desk but I guess it needed a new door.

Location is just outside Assisi but only 10 - 20 mins walk to St Claire church, and you pass a supermarket. Has WiFi which was best in reception. Pretty Pool area but was too cold to use. I got upgraded to the 3rd floor after returning to tecotion as original room was very dark (ground floor) and its windows faced a wall with heating exit vents, so wasn’t happy keeping them open (I try to avoid using aircon when possible). I’d requested a room with a view and ended up getting one, thank you, on the 3rd floor, there is a lift. Great views from bedroom and bathroom windows. Spacious shower, good pressure. THE best Aperol Spritzer in Assisi made by v friendly lady receptionist! There is a Bar & restaurant on site. Great variety of foods at breakfast beautifully presented eg fruit, yoghurts, cereal, breads, cake etc Some staff were very friendly despite my very limited Italian. Has parking.

Had 2 evening meals which were sadly disappointing, bread was stale. FYA very little choice if you do not eat red meat. Grilled vegetables cooked unimaginably. Fish had lots of bones, served lukewarm. Cannot order a glass of wine at dinner, minimum is a small bottle. Was shown an unmade single room which looked v small and dark, so recommend checking what room you are booking. Manager was sometimes friendly but sometimes came across as angry (stress?), which I found a bit unnerving. Noticed small black bugs (like miniature beetles) in corridor.

    Spacious and modern.

The balcony was small with no great view and no chairs .

Staff were very pleasant and comptetent. Breakfast was good, Room comfortable, clean, A/C worked perfectly, bathroom new, well set out, wonderful shower. Pool, as always, was great, especially in the extreme heat of the days we were there.

A bidet in the bathroom would have been a plus,

    Beautiful views

Front office staff. No smiles, no courtesy from the older male gentleman at front office during noon time.

    8YvesPosted on: 7-23-2024

large pool with good hours of availability; friendly staff; walking distance of Assise.

a bit pricey. Popular with bus groups.

    9MichaelPosted on: 7-15-2024

The pool, the comfort of the room, the staff, especially the restaurant staff. The breakfasts were good. The proximity of the bus stop to the hotel made Assissi centre very accessible.h

Food was delicious but was only served warm not hot.

Absolutely perfect stay! A beautiful hotel a 20 minute walk into Assisi. Will be coming back for sure! Thank you to all the friendly staff who made our stay so special. Our room was cleaned spotlessly everyday, the grounds are immaculate and the view from the pool area is stunning!

    No complaints at all!
