Hotel Sorella Luna

The location of the hotel was excellent. The room was clean and hotel staff was helpful.

Room small. Staff not friendly. Inside construction made a lot of noise all day long.

Lots I disliked

Not much to be honest. The exterior appearance was very nice, but beyond that it was a very disappointing experience.

Room was small and sparsely furnished. Air conditioner was faulty, walls extremely thin, front desk check in was not very welcoming. In looking around the town, there were several better choices for the same or less cost.

Location to St Francis basilica

The staff, bathroom facilities and the air conditioner were great!

The room was small

The pink stone walls, winding, steep roads, cool dark museums, chapels and cathedrals, messages of peace and love in action of Saints Francis, Claire, and Carlos, gelato around every corner, street musicians, and a feeling like you have stepped back in time.

Very steep and lots of steps. I had to carry my suitcase up from street when I arrived. Hotel receptionist carried it down when I left. I wish I’d had instructions to call reception when I arrived, for help with baggage.

The hotel is quite charming, incredibly well located. Good facilities, the room was very comfortable, best shower I have ever had!! Good value for money. Just think breakfast could be less expensive.

It is a really charming hotel just steps from the Basilica. Our room had king sized bed in one half and a sofa bed in the other which was perfect for traveling with our 16 year old. We loved the staff and everything was very comfortable. It was so peaceful and quiet at night while lively during the day. The wifi was perfect! It’s located in a ZTL, but you can pull your car up to drop your bags near the front before parking in a nearby garage.

One caution, there are a few sets of stairs as is typical in Italy and didn’t bother us, but if you have mobility issues it might make a difference.

My room was right off the reception area and overlooking the street, but it was quiet and comfortable. The staff are excellent and helpful.

A tea kettle in the room would be nice, but the breakfast room staff kindly gave me some hot water.

Quiet location on the edge of town, set in interesting grounds. Good restaurant on site. Helpful staff, especially when we couldn't find the hotel, in the hire car (one road was closed due to roadworks).

We needed better driving directions to the hotel - we got lost in the narrow streets!

The two ladies at the front desk were very nice. They brought my luggage to the hotel lobby. I was too tired to lift it through the stairs. The GPS had me walked all around Assisi center without finding the hotel.The hotel is beautiful and very well located. It's only a few minutes from the entrance of the Saint Francis basilica. I highly recommend it.
