We loved staying at Hotel Pax! The owners were so helpful and kind, and the location could not be beat!
In one of our rooms, the ceiling was very low. Had we known that, we may have booked a different room. The beds were also very stiff
Friendly staff providing excellent service. The location was very convenient, just minutes away from the most important churches and the main plaza. The hotel offers breakfast with a wide variety of food and beverages.
Nothing to complain about.
We loved the location. Our room was both clean and very spacious, and the staff was great. We’ll definitely be back!
The location was great, 200 feet from Saint Carlo and 300 meters from Saint Clair.
The shower door was broken and didn’t close properly.
If you are a pilgrim and ate devout to Carlo Acuti. You must stay here. Saint Catlo Acuti body is right in front of the hotel. I think it is very convenient hotel if you are v pilgrim visiting churches around. Very close to all of them.
Located in the heart of Assisi, very close to the Church of St Maria Maggiore, where the body of new St Carlo Acutis lies. Close to a lot of restaurants and shops, Breakfast was good. Bread was excellent and even the service. Well organised. The room was very spacious. Bathroom was comfortable. The hosts at the reception, were very helpful and assisted us with all our concerns.
Slightly warm at night in October. We had to leave the window open to cool a bit the room. At times, since the window was open, it got a bit noisy. .
Charming hotel! We loved our stay here. Great location in the middle of Assisi. The staff was very helpful with recommendations around the area, making a dinner reservation, luggage storage, and we also appreciated the included breakfast.
Slightly thin walls, but we travel with white noise so it wasn't a big deal for us.
Location, historic venue, staff, and the feeling of family.

This hotel is a gem located very near the Piazza Commune and convenient to myriad shops and restaurants. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The building, like others in this part of town, is many hundreds of years old but it is solid and updated with modern conveniences. Having been adapted to current use as a hotel, the hallways are quaint, narrow and include interesting multiple turns leading to many of the rooms. It is super clean and nicely furnished with period rugs and furniture. Excellent breakfasts in a very spacious lower level breakfast space offering fresh fruits, pastries and assorted meats and cheeses. Don't expect to be dropped at the door by taxi on arrival and walking anywhere in Assisi is either up or down. The Pax is short walk downhill from Piazza Commune and a slightly longer walk to the bus/taxi stops a the Santa Chiara church. Our initial room was on the small side with a very cramped shower and barely room to walk around the queen bed. We moved at the manager's suggestion to a much larger room for the rest of our stay that offered even frescos on the ceiling. The Pax also operates an adjoining restaurant that offers excellent cuisine typical of Assisi.
Having tested the mattresses in two different rooms I would say they are on the hard side; still comfortable but a bit less 'give' than we prefer.
What beautiful , lovely & cozy hotel. We had a great stay here . The hotel is very clean and the staff is so lovely. Eduardo is very kind , helpful and profesional. We recommend this hotel to everyone! The location was fantastic!!Close to the Tomb of Carlo Acutis & Basilica of Saint Clara of Asisi
The location was perfect! It is a family run hotel and that made it so personal. There is also a restaurant run by the family just up the street and the food was fabulous!
I liked everything. Quaint and charming .
great location and quite friendly, though minimal, staff
tricky to find at first and the parking facility wasn't so closeby yet its a lovely area to walk through
Everything. It was close to everything. Host & owner Eduardo & his sister were very kind, informative, helpful & delightful. Enjoyed his restaurant as well with staff who was helpful in our orders
Was incredibly experienced, Gabriela and her brother was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. A+++++.
Nothing! Was all amazing!
Hotel Pax is a quaint, clean hotel and very well kept. The owners are very gracious and helpful of any requests. They even left us a delicious breakfast to-go for an early morning departure. Great location and easy walk from Mojana Parking garage. Highly recommend this hotel.
Nothing, all was great!
The staff at Hotel Pax were amazing. Grace was so kind and kept checking in to make sure we had tickets to an upcoming event. She went out of her way to ensure we had an exceptional stay. Breakfast was great. Location is unbeatable.
Beds and pillows were a little hard.
The property was strategically located to most sites in Assisi.
The bathroom had a lot of mold on the ceiling above the shower. I took pictures of the mold and showed them to the Front Desk in the morning. Thankfully the hotel staff did move us to another room after I brought it to their attention. However, I was a little bit surprised the hotel staff charged me an additional 10 Euros for the new room when I checked out of the hotel the following morning. Yes, the room was a little bit larger than what we originally booked, but I feel I shouldn’t have been charged for it. I didn’t request a larger room or complain and make a big deal about it; I just wanted a room with a bathroom with no black mold. Also, I feel I shouldn’t had to pay 10 Euro extra to get a room free from black mold.
This property is lovely and located close to the square but away from the crowds. The owners were welcoming and very helpful. The hotel also has a restaurant a few metres away which serves excellent Umbrian food.
