Parador de Lorca

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The staff was helpful, the room was clean and had an elevated design, and the dinner and complimentary breakfast were some of the best I had in Spain.

Amazing integration of modern facility into an authentic castle. The waiter was amazing serving tapas in bar area but breakfast waiter was very unfriendly.

Hairpin curves to get to the hotel with poor signage.

Breakfast was excellent and the additional service of bacon and eggs/omelette cooked to order was impressive

Instructions how to get to the castle from the city could hve been made clearer. We used Apple directions and got into a disaster in the highest barrio.

It was clean, beds where comfy , friendly staff that spoke a little English brilliant, would recommend

Incredible location as is the case with many Paradores. Wonderful breakfast with cooked to order items. Large room with large bed. Amazing views.

The most valuable in this hotel is the staff ! They are extremely helpful and friendly! The two members deserve special recognition: Soledad and Emilio.Location excellent! Decor beautiful! Facilities- we only used swimming pool- water too cold as for our preference.

We think breakfast is definitely overpriced 19€ per person.Cleanliness- at first all great, but then my husband realised that despite signage on the wc "clean" when lifting toilet seat it wasn't cleaned properly.Hair band on the bathroom floor as well, so we are sceptic a bit.Spa bath only working side way no bottom working and the manual isn't correct - would be worth to double check it.

Booked a suite with a separate lounge, the door from the bedroom to the lounge was missing. To be fair, the staff did try and put a sheet cover over the door .Restaurant was excellent for dinner and for breakfast . Had a morning tour around the castle...thoroughly enjoyed our stay here

Set high above the town walking was difficult but the views were spectacular.

Overall very good, excellent size room ,comfortable bed and very clean. Being picky no free water or kettle to make a drink . The tv was too small for the room size you need to use the two chairs to sit in front of to watch . Very noisy early morning sounded like bins being emptied .The staff were very polite and helpful ,spoke perfect English . Wonderful location .

Location provided 360views, staff very friendly, parador building is stunning. Evening meal food a little disappointing because the portions were small, the cafe/bar snacks are very good. Rooms are excellent and very clean

Views were stunning, breakfast was delicious - pot of coffee at breakfast was greatly appreciated. Room was roomy, mattress was comfortable.

Coffee machine in the room would have been nice.

The room was exceptional (junior suite) and the bed was so comfortable. The staff were fantastic all round. The spa and pool facilities were great and the castle well worth the 4 euros entry.

Unfortunately, we couldn't get the spa bath to work. The temperature was luke warm so we couldn't use it, which was a shame as part of the reason I chose this place was because of the room facilities. Breakfast was a bit basic too.

The suite was spacious, clean and comfortable, the views are amazing and the castle remains made it unique. The hotel was airy and clean everywhere.

The food was awful, eggs and bacon served cold at breakfast, served raw pork at dinner and the menu was the same every night. Infact my husband and I decided to have the dishes each of us had previously and these were not served the same, very disappointing. The serving staff on the whole were not friendly either.

Unfortunately, given its elevated location above the town, our room had absolutely no view - very disappointing.
