Hotel Sitges

Pros +

• It was further out than we had thought and the area very residential. The hotel was a mixture of buildings and was rather dominated by the car park at the front. The room was quite pricey for what it was and though clean was basic. Yes we did pay for a balcony but it looked out to the street at the front so we didnt feel comfortable using it. Breakfast was very simple and we felt not always fresh. Im all for not wasting food but the meatballs felt like old friends by the end of our stay. One word of caution the hot water in the shower was not on a thermostat and became scalding if you mistakenly turned the control too far. We have never been asked to pay in advance for an entire hotel stay before. Leave a card yes but not pay for an entire week in advance. Seemed very strange
• The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and it was quiet at night. I think because it was not busy it was so quiet- I think in summer it might not be so quiet, but it was very quiet for the night I stayed.

Cons -

• In the room description it listed "free toiletries" and said toothbrush, shampoo and body soap But there was absolutely nothing in this room- only toilet paper. Not even any soap to wash your hands! The shower screen was not big enough and the water went onto the bathroom floor. The towel in the room was not dry- it was damp so I could only use the hand towel. I know it's a budget option but at least some soap is expected. Also, a light was out in the bathroom.
