Pros +
- Staff was helpful in accommodating our early (6am) departure for Seville airport.
- Beautiful old Spanish style Hotel. We upgraded to a larger room and it had a lovely view over the plains. It was on the 3rd floor, the hotel was quiet and elegant. We paid to park in the Hotel's private car park as it could be difficult to park on the street when busy. There was a bar with Tapas, as well as a restaurant. The location of the Hotel was perfect for walking to the town and viewing the sites. Would definitely recommend this Hotel to visit Carmona. Staff were very nice and friendly.
- The staff made us feel very welcome and couldn’t have been any more helpful. This is a characterful hotel which is beautifully decorated and well kept. The breakfast had a good variety of food. The bar attached to the hotel serve great tapas and again the staff were great.
Cons -
- Carmona did not have much open when we arrived in the afternoon--not the hotel's fault!
- I appreciate it is easier for a Hotel to provide a machine with a choice of coffee, but personally I prefer a brewed coffee and boiling water for tea, not just hot water which does not make a good cup of tea. A better variety of fresh fruit would be nice. Cereal tasted as if it had been there a very long time and the fried eggs like rubber, yoke was solid. Breakfast at 15 euros each was adequate but not very inspired.

Nothing!!
Nice rooms and good food.
Narrow streets
Lovely bedroom and bathroom, well laid out communal areas and patios, swimming pool would be lovely when the weather is hot. Good to have an outside parking for our van. Well placed for walking to the places of interest in the town.
Although we contacted the hotel in advance, the vegetarian option for dinner was poor. Also, our experience at breakfast was not good. An exceptionally large party had already been down. Most of the tables had been used and not yet cleared. The single member of staff was run off his feet. There were no cups, glasses or plates and food was in short supply. It was not the fault of the single member of staff, more the hotel’s responsibility to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Good location, nice rooms, nice breakfast
Staff were not helpful with simple request to mail a letter for me. There is no bar open between 4:00 to 7:30.
Staff welcomingSpanish style decorBreakfast was very goodComfortable bedrooms free upgrade
The reception was goodThe bedrooms were large but darkIt’s was good for sightseeing
No tea making facilities No bar or kitchens open until 7.30pmAnd they were late opening
The location is quite charming and the food was really good, the restaurant next door is top notch in terms of tapas. Friendly staff, genuine people.
location and town were perfect, the hotel was good, the rooms were average, no amenities, you need to pay for the park indoor or outdoor price diiffirent
room and amenities can be better, lift was terrible.
Excellent restaurant
Hotel address does not appear to be correct on booking.com so satnav couldnt find it. Also no 4G signal so google maps didnt work. Quite a challenge to find driving through very narrow meieval streets. Also charging 45,46 euros for 2 dogs is excessive; one charge should be sufficient
Perfect location between Seville airport and Cordoba that we were visiting for 1 day. Great views across the valley if you have front room. Lovely reception and hallway. Had Tapas in the hotel restaurant which was really excellent especially the almond and garlic soup.
Car parking very limited so had to park on street 5 mins from hotel. This was fine as it was a lovely walk through the old narrow streets. No heated mirror in bathroom so steams up after a shower. Shower over bath which personally I do not like and difficult to get temperature right on shower so end up using more water.
Large bedroom, comfortably furnished with easy chairs and table, TV , mini fridge, etc.Breakfast was in general very good, wide choice of hot and cold options, the only issue was very hard bacon. I think it was too thin and left out in the warmer for too long. The staff in the bar, restaurant and hotel were very welcoming and helpful, a credit to the hotelThe restaurant and bar offered a good choice of snacks, and beautifuly cooked and presented main courses, and not expensive.
Bed was very firm, which for me was very uncomfortable. It wasn't Kingsize, maybe Queen, but more likely a standard double. It came with a long, double pillow tube, with two very soft lumpy pillows on top. Not comfortable at all.
Not much. The breakfast was overpriced. The room was tired and smelled.
The hotel had a faint smell of sewer. Our room opened to a patio that was covered so there wasn't any fresh air. The staff's reception area and office could be heard talking all night long.
Very good
Tea/Coffee making facilities only available on request and payable as an extra charge
The breakfast was great! So much variety. And delicious.I also enjoyed the tapas restaurant. Everyone needs a mid-day cubata! And the staff at the front desk was incredibly genial. Thanks so much for the care and attention.
There was nothing I did not like. Well... it would have been nice to have a bit more food options available throughout the entire day AND in the late evening. I also wish I'd had a coffeemaker in my room.
Good hotel in a fabulous old building. The room was spacious and comfortable with minibar in the room which we didn't purchase but used to chill our drinks. We had an evening meal at the restaurant, which was fine but the menu choices were somewhat limited. The hotel is well located in the town but many of the ancient sites were closed presumably due to bad weather so site seeing was not the best.
Nothing to complain about. We would recommend a stay here when visiting Carmona.
We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable with views across the valley. We chose to have dinner at the attached restaurant (let the staff know your meal is part of the hotel booking, it's a different menu). Breakfast was very good.
Breakfast were good: there were choices for everyone
Bathrooms were not private: glass doors to WC and shower. When in the shower, water comes into the room
Nothing if I could give it a zero rating I would
Where to begin, The stench from inside and out of sewage.Pigeons in the pool .Worn out dated place .No bars open , just a vending machine.Seriously inedible breakfast ,served in a basement, windowless room .Surly staffMonty python lunch arrangements!?,no tapas here, only there etc etc.So only a formal lunch menu available by the pool -ridiculous.Over the top expensive for both parking and a dog supplement. No shower hose ?-it’s 2024,not 1954…The jewel in the crown though is this ..We booked a “junior suite “- only to have to inconnecting room let to someone else rendering the lounge a shared space .We would have had more privacy in a hostel .They have no understanding of the concept and definition of a suite and refused to engage.“.i took the room therefore I accepted so no refund!”The fact was at 6.00pm we didn’t have a choice .Absolute disgusting rip off ,the management should be ashamed as masquerading as a 4 star.Stay anywhere ,sleep rough to be honest you’ll be happier.
