    • The staff were excellent and very helpful, the hotel is very basic but good.

    Cons -

    • Non guarded parking
    • The heating could be a little more efficient.
    • Nothing really - it was value for money, I could have paid much more for less at another hotel.

The heating could be a little more efficient.

Basic - clean - friendly and value for money. Only other comment - the bathroom was small and had started to show its age.

Nothing really - it was value for money, I could have paid much more for less at another hotel.

    The location

Not clean, mold in the room, shower curtain dirty….

    3KevinPosted on: 9-23-2024

    Nothing much.

I had booked the same hotel a week before and was not particularly happy with my first experience. As I had booked and paid for both stays I had no option but to use the second booking (I won’t do that again!).I arrived at the hotel earlier than the 5 p.m. opening time and had to sit in my car for over an hour and a half until someone arrived at reception. The week before, when I stayed, there was an envelope taped on the logging-in machine with my room number etc. so I was surprised that this was not the case the second time. HOWEVER, when I eventually arrived at reception I found out the reason why. Apparently, they had not received my booking from booking.com - despite the fact that I had paid and received a reservation number, and the fact that I booked the previous room at the same time as this one should have meant that both bookings were registered. One would have thought that the gentleman at reception would have gone out of his way to be helpful, but no! He kept on saying that it wasn’t his fault and that I would have to contact booking.com to get a refund. Eventually he offered me another room but nearly 30% more than I had originally paid. I eventually managed to get him to give me a room at, more-or-less, the original price - this may have been because there was a queue building up waiting to book in and he did not want them to hear our conversation. The room was 101 which had 2 single beds despite the fact that I had originally booked a 3-bed room. DO NOT go for room 101 - it is right next to the entrance lobby and at the bottom of the stairwell that leads to the upper floors. To say it was noisy is an understatement!

    Cheap. Cheers receptionist.

    Location, damp in bathroom.

The staff response to a fire alarm, set off by smoking toast apparently, was poor. Finding ones way in the dark at ca. 0700 to the stairs down from the first floor lost a couple of minutes which might have been serious in a real fire. I suggest an advisory visit from the local fire brigade might be in order.

Easy to find. Comfortable, clean room. Plenty of parking spaces.

Noisy neighbours. Fire alarm went off at 06:45 for no apparent reason. It would have been nice to have had tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Keep away from the local Buffalo Grill. The prices were high for the amount/ quality of food purchased, and the service was the poorest I have come across in France for a long time.

Location was perfect for us to travel to our destination the next day.

More secure car park, more pillows on the bed.

Our second stay in this hotel. Near enough to the town for us to walk in. Safe storage for our bicycles, our method of transport. Very helpful and friendly staff.

    3GracePosted on: 8-13-2024

    Friendly staff

No air con which made it pretty well inhabitable. Shower leaked everywhere. Some toenails on the floor were the cherry on top.

Really pleasant staff, Very clean and quiet great value and good location

Nothing much, the Bufflo Grill restaurant next isn't the best but that's Nothing to do with the IBIS

We use this hotel a lot as halfway point from the Ferry to our home in the Vienne. Great location, with Burger King, buffalo Grill and McDonalds nearby, plus supermarket. Beds are always comfortable and we always sleep very well.

The 24 hour check in kiosk does not always work well and I think they should look into this - when you arrive late and the machine does not let you check in - it becomes stressful, especially when you are exhausted from driving. If they fix this problem my overall mark would be higher!

    6FrederiquePosted on: 8-4-2024

    Comfy beds, lovely helpful staff

The TV wasn’t working - although the staff were accommodating and managed to move us to a room with a working TV. Very run down

    8ChristinePosted on: 8-1-2024

The bedroom was as requested on the ground floor. The bed had a lovely thick new mattress. Breakfast is a good variety. Buffet with plenty of coffee.

    8SusanPosted on: 7-15-2024

Really good value for money as you would expect from an Ibis Budget. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

It is a little bit old but you get what you pay for.

    Location, quietness, breakfast room.

Reception not manned when it should have been.

the reception guy was nice just working with junk poor equipment. parking was ok.location was nice until burger king built.

arrived at16:30 no reception until 17:00 so went to use the self check in machine would not work, other guests tried to use the machine but failed.so we waited until the guy arrived. next his computer was playing up could we get our receipt later when he got it working?. the room was the smallest i have ever been in i would put it below F1 rooms. twin beds with inches to get out of bed and try to get past the bed. we had a broken light so used the light from the bathroom to light the room.i know its not ibis fault but they have built a burger king right next door which was very noisy all night with groups of lads with cars and bikes shouting.after that we had some drunk/drug people try and gain access to the hotel my wife heard the argument with the night porter who stopped them. so we will not use this hotel again it was 20 euros more expensive than premier class we had booked next night.
