    Pros +

    • The hotel is a charming palacio with wonderful though warn antiques in the common rooms. The staff is genteel and friendly. The location perfect for experiencing Ubeda.
    • Fantastic location: what's not to like staying in a "Palace"?! Beautiful architecture, lovely decor and a warm, helpful host. Rosa even carried my luggage up (and later down) a huge flight of stairs. Note there are rooms on the first floor if you need them. Comfy bed and a delicious breakfast.
    • Rosa was exceptional. Always cheerful, ready to help and very professional.

    Cons -

    • There is nothing to not like, but an elevator and more on-site parking may be expectations that will be disappointed. We seventy-somethings with minor disabilities did fine.
    • Nothing to complain about.
    • The WiFi was not working properly.

Everything!!! It was like staring in a museum:) loved it ! Every detail ! It’s true it smelled like old things but that’s part of the charm and it felt as if we had stepped back in time:) And Roze met us and showed us around, she was kind and even helped us with the luggage . She is the soul of the place ?

Honestly I loved everything but it’s not everybody’s cup of tea. Some might be disturbed by the smell of old things or the cricking of the floor but for me it was part of the charm ?

It’s a beautiful historical property, beautifully maintained and in a great location. This would be a wonderful place to stay as s family and/or friends group. It’s like living in a stately home. It has some great sitting areas in historic lounges and a patio garden that is accessed straight from the room. Rosa was so friendly and helpful. She recommended some great places to eat and gave us the run of the house. Lovely stay.

It was all wonderful, but as it’s a historical building, it doesn’t have all the mod cons some people might expect.

Genuine 16th century palatial home, still lived in by its aristocratic proprietors, with period decor almost completely untouchedHuge vintage room with incredibly high ceiling Charming lady at the receptionThis is a special place for old-house lovers, NOT for those looking for standardized equipment and decor!

obviously the heating cannot work so well as in a modern building , in in a retrofitted old building and in a room with such a high ceiling : this did not bother me, but those who prioritize comfort in the cold season should probably look elsewhere

This property is better than most of the period villas in town that charge to look around, plus you get to stay. I definitely recommend you book here if you get the chance. The owner is lovely and it’s wonderfully decorated. This is a real one-off.

Wished I could have stayed longer.

Very nice and unique experience to stay in this historical residence. Room is big with high ceiling. Also like the antique objects/decor displayed in the corridor and common area.

This is a stunning property, a 16th century Palacio in the centre of Ubeda. It's a very small hotel, I think there are 8 rooms in total. The rooms are large and beautifully furnished. The woman who was in charge was charming, very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, a very good variety of fruit, breads etc and we were offered eggs. Parking is limited, the best option is the public car park a few minutes walk away, which seemed very secure.

The host Rosa was absolutely brilliant. She couldn’t do enough for us. Also it was lovely to be in a building which dates back to the 1600 s. Breakfast was beautifully served and above average.

We felt that the whilst the hotel is a beautiful historic building. It could do with a little bit of t.l.c.Example the gardens needed attending. The rooms felt a little musty. But for the price. We can’t complain. Ubeda is an absolutely beautiful city. Couldn’t recommend it enough.
