About

Located in the beautiful, monumental city of Úbeda, this Parador is housed in a former, 16th-century palace and has kept its original, classical-style interior decor. Parador de Úbeda’s rooms are all spacious, with high ceilings and equipped with modern facilities, such as a TV. Dine in the hotel’s own restaurant, where you can taste traditional, rural-style Andalusian cuisine, accompanied by a bottle of regional wine. After dinner, you can enjoy a drink in the on-site bar and chat with friends, family or fellow guests.

The building is ideally located in the most beautiful square in Ubeda. The room size was generous and decorated in a beautiful traditional manner. The breakfast was very good.

We were not made aware of construction work prior to our arrival - I might havemade a different choice based on the amount of disruption. We were offered aroom upgrade as compensation which I appreciate.

    Great location. Very cool building!

Beds were very uncomfortable and A/C didn’t work.

The location was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were disappointed that the facade was covered due to cleaning and restoration.

The parador is very nice and has character.

The building was undergoing construction. This affected our stay. Our room was supposed to be with a balcony but this room would have just looked out at a construction sheet which covered the building so they changed our room to the ground floor with no view. This room was very nice but not what we had booked. The noise from the construction was loud and bothersome. We would have not have stayed here if we had known it was undergoing construction. It would have been nice if they had let us about this upon booking or prior to us coming.

Extremely spacious rooms, more like a suite really, patio was in a central garden with fountain

Building partly under renovation, no parking, we had to park in a public area 5 minutes away and there was a bike race the day we left so all cars had to move by 10am otherwise they’d be removed by crane.

A beautiful building right in the heart of the historic area.

a bit of building maintenance going on.

    10LindaPosted on: 1-23-2025

It was so old worldly but had all mod cons and was warm in the room which was perfect as very cold outside. The staff were very welcoming. Our first stay at a Parador and it did not disappoint.

    8MartinaPosted on: 1-23-2025

The reception staff was very friendly.

No coffee or tea facilities in the rooms. Floor around the toilet was not cleaned. We asked for a boiled egg at breakfast and got a cold one from the fridge.

Architecturally and historically distinctive property with beautifully appointed “palatial” guest rooms. Ideally located within the heart of Úbeda.

I was disappointed that it didn’t have a bar as is typical of most paradors. Breakfast did not live up to my expectations of a parador buffet.

    7RosemariePosted on: 10-28-2024

The location and the historical elements. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

The bar was in the courtyard which was very cold (we visited in October during an exceptionally cold spell of weather). The parador was open to visitors and large groups of tourists kept coming in with their guide. The heating only came on for an hour at 7am and 7pm and was ineffective, so the room was cold.

Very good location in a rather grand looking building. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is very tired and in real need of refurbishment - rather disappointing for a Parador

    5KennethPosted on: 10-24-2024

Very good location and historic building.

Bad smell in room and unhelpful staff.

    10ChristophePosted on: 10-17-2024

The building is beautiful, and not overly renovated. The situation is exceptional, on a major, beautiful, historical pedestrian square.Although I reserved the cheapest room, I had the pleasant surprise to be accommodated in a very large, lavishly furnished room, with a huge bathroom and entrance hall. It was very quiet, too. The air conditioning was almost totally silent. I felt very much at home. The restaurant is excellent. The maître de was absolutely perfect.

The staff at the reception did not speak English. It was not very efficient in helping me in my errands, finding a parking e.g. I do not see anything to criticize. The staff at the restaurant did not speak English, either. Good opportunity to practice my Spanish.

    Great history, immaculately maintained.

Away from the downtown area- not a bad thing-

    9ElizabethPosted on: 10-14-2024

Superb spacious and elegant room, lovely building, central location.

Breakfast was poor and parking was difficult.

    7HaroldPosted on: 9-26-2024

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Nice location in the old center.

Rooms are big, but dark, They make you want to go out, not stay in. And oh, those spanish pillows... :-(

    6DavidPosted on: 6-4-2024

Great location with a comfortable room. Close to all sites in Ubeda.

The staff were unwelcoming and brusque. No smile or engagement with guests. The dining room is gloomy and not inviting, so we had breakfast and dinner elsewhere.
