Treebo Varuna With Mountain View, Mall Road

Good balance of modern facilities and mountain charm. The smart TV was nice for Netflix at night. Wi fi worked okay. The Travel Desk helped us to plan our sightseeing. Wish they had more dessert choices. Will surely visit again.

The room had a big window facing the Valley. Really beautiful in the morning. The tea/coffee kettle was a nice touch. Breakfast menu could use more variety, but overall the stay was enjoyable and comfortable.

Absolutely fantastic stay. The mountain view from our room looked like a painting on a canvas. Hot water was available 24/7 and the tea/ coffee kettle with unlimited refills was a thoughtful touch. Housekeeping was top notch. I'll be recommending this Hotel to all my friend circles.

Overall, a great stay. The view from the room was incredible, and I loved the In-Room dining service. Food arrived hot and fresh. The only thing I would suggest is adding more options to the breakfast menu. Everything else, from hot water to the comfortable bed linen, was spot on. Thanks team Treebo.

Spotlessly clean room with a magnificent view of The Sprawling Himalayas. Centrally located Hotel with all modern amenities. The high speed wi fi connection was a great facility for my online work.

This property is most conveniently located on The Historical Mall Road having majestic views from every room. The abundant nature and the Heritage Walks nearby adds to the charm of this beautiful Hotel.

Cleanliness

Non availability of parking. Room layout was different from the pics shown on the site.

They cancelled my booking because they wanted pre-payment and I booked this hotel through bookings.com where it was clearly mentioned on the invoice that I can pay at the property. But, they want it in advance, this is a clear case of false advertisement.

bedsheets weren’t clean, room was super cold with AC not working initially most of the time, shady location.

The staff was very rude, not even providing the facility to re heat the food and also the desk person was not having the term to fulfil the hospitality

Breakfast had very little choices. Could have been much better for all and for Deluxe rooms, in particular.

In the chilling climate, the tea was always served either in Glass or steel pot. It should always be served in Thermos Flask.

The location was not too far from the mall road.

In cold weather, there was no heater, and I paid 300 INR for a single rod old heater to the hotel which was not mentioned while booking. It took four hours to feel comfortable. It was unclean, especially the bedsheet and towels (damp). The toilet was smaller than expected. Basic amenities such as towels had to be asked for and tissues are not even provided. The ambience wasn't great too. The staff at the reception asked me to write whatever I wished in the review.

Nothing. They sent the link for advance payment, but the link was not working. They cancelled the booking in maybe 1-2hrs without warning.

They cancelled the stay without any warning or anything. They just sent a message for advance payment, with "pay" (i guess with link attached) in messages in booking.com and the link was not even working. They ended up cancelling the stay within 1-2hrs of booking. No one even tried to contact us. We were traveling in toy train to shimla. I tried calling hotel, but they did not respond on main number. Found another number online which was picked up by some cleaning staff who was not even helpful. Did not expect this kind of treatment.

Room was clean as well as washroom. View was awesome and staff was so friendly

The food rate was very high

Paid the price of standard room but got economy room.

I booked and pre paid one "standard double room with valley view" but the hotel supervisor provided "economy double room with valley view". The extra amount I paid for standard room was wasted. I think they generally cheat the guests by providing them economy rooms instead of standard rooms.

Breakfast was poorly served but it was tasty.

The towels were torn and had holes in them. The rooms were not as clean as they should have been. The water heaters worked for only a minute. In the billing email i was informed about having an A/C room, but when we arrived at the hotel we were told we are not entitled to A/c rooms. Hence we were not provided room heaters.

The location was very bad, hotel was located too high from the main road. There was no way for old aged people to reach the hotel as the way was too steep and it had no means of transport to reach there. The Treebo staff Mr. Sharan told us it was to close to Mall Road and feasible to reach there, but it couldn’t even meet our expectations. They have no parking facility.The breakfast was not great, there was no buffet space and the room was too small than expected as a deluxe room.The treebo support didn’t help us at all and especially Mr. Sharan. We called him many times for help but he didn’t answer even 1 call. He was so responsive till the advance was paid and then he didn’t even answer any call nor any message.

They must provide proper information before booking that old people can’t reach there, they have no parking facility nor any breakfast area.
