Wildflower Hall, An Oberoi Resort, Shimla

Where to start?!:)Shimla is far from the Chandigarh airport and the road leading there is not the best but the destination is worth it.I will not compare it to the alps because India is unique but if you like to see stunning mountain views in a cozy setting this is the place to visit.Everything from the transfer pick-up experience by The Oberoi till the check-out, is exceptional.The staff went beyond the call of duty to make our stay memorable (Loki, Sahil, Kaushik, Shadab, Sanjay, Rajat… to name a few).Gorgeous property, fantastic views, outdoor heated pool (yes at freezing temperature), amazing food...Last but not least huge shout-out to Sunit, the GM. When the GM is consistently on the floor overlooking every single detail, you know you are well taken care of.Highly recommended!

You can always find small meaningless things to criticize but nothing really worth mentioning. Book it, its worth it!

The property and the views were heavenly. But what made the experience truly pleasurable was the staff - everyone was so nice and so focused on ensuring we have a good time. The service in all aspects was top notch.Food was great! And there are plenty of in house activites to keep one occupied. It's a must do!

Room were good and clean. Staff is exceptional and cordial

Meal (dinner) services were not good. Limited choices and very late delivery. Limited staff if the hotel is fully occupied, make services very average. All is good till hotel is partly occupied

The property is stunning. Views are spectacular. The food is excellent. Rooms are super comfortable. Staff is kind, helpful and friendly. We absolutely loved the sanctuary and oaks and orchards hikes.

There was nothing not to like!

I loved the way the staff welcomed us, also the main part was we were straight taken to our room for check in, didn't have to wait at the lobby while the check in is happening. Ambika is really nice, she was very helpful in answering all our queries and concerns in a calm way. Sumit the hotel manager was also very nice and good, the staff everyone was really nice to us, we felt very over happy, we were there to celebrate our 10th Anniversary and it wouldn't have been better in any other place.

There is nothing as such that we didnt like in the property, everything was really to the TOP.

Really one of a kind experience . I would highly recommend to anyone and this place has its own activities .Better to contact them few days prior and they will arrange itinerary too. Overall extremely pleasant stay and great food/services. We visited in Feb and able to see snowfall during one day

The hospitality was excellent. The rooms were comfortable and the food was delicious. The staff was detail oriented and excellent at their job.

Nothing. The rooms were cozy and the outdoor jacuzzi was a delight.

Excellent location and view from property. Breakfast was buffet and lot of variety continental, north indiias wellas south indian.

Beautiful property and everything including the snow fall during the two days we were there made the surrounding look breathtaking! Great food and awesome service.

I wish it was less noisy. Small children ( no offence meant) yelling and running in the corridors was never experienced by me in my earlier trips before 2010.

Excellent facilities and extremely attentive staff who go out of the way to make sure you have a comfortable stay. The outside breakfast area, the sunroom, and the Jacuzzi / Pool area have to be amongst the best anywhere in the world. We traveled with our 4 year old and the staff service and care was exceptional throughout the stay!

For shorter stays of 2-3 days everything is perfectly fine. However, for a longer stays, I think would be helpful to have some more activities for adults and possibly a little more diverse restaurant menu.

Stunning beautifully appointed property. Warm welcome and excellent care by staff at all times. Lovely bar with open fire. Stunning pool and outdoor jacuzzi with draw dropping views. Our room was large and extremely comfortable with beautiful views towards the snow capped Himalayas. New Year’s gala dinner event was fun with attentive service, good food and wines (and many other drinks!) and an excellent live band. All meals were very good with a choice of places to sit which gives variety.

If you want to stay at this amazing property, you will have to contend with a c.45 minute drive to the centre of Shimla due to heavy traffic which is a little frustrating but a daily reality.

The location was amazing. The rooms were superb with a good view. Clean property

Food was expensive yet the preparations were average. The Christmas gala dinner was exorbitant and very less options for vegetarians. A BIG Disappointment as only a couple of dishes were edible.

Breakfast, Dinner was Great, staff very pleasent (Roshni) and knowledgeable, good size and clean rooms, view from the room was amazing!

We had a fantastic time and that included breakfast, lunch, dinner the staff - the views the air and the relaxation and treatments offered by the spa.

Nothing we didn't like! We loved the way all of the team worked together and made our stay, celebrations and trip absolutely marvellous.

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT !!

Exceptional in every way. Breath taking location, exemplary attention to detail, diligent yet non intrusive service, superb food and facilities. An unforgettable experience for which the staff gets full marks.

It was an ordeal travelling from Shimla to the hotel due to traffic jams caused by road works. Beyond the control of the hotel but it took 1.5 hours to travel 15 kms on a Saturday evening.

Beautiful souroundings. Views were amazing, loved the monkeys but you must be careful of them.
