I did not get the room I paid for. Room smelled like fresh varnish.

The hotel itself was great! The people were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and very well laid out, and the grounds were beautiful beautiful with all of the plants and flowers.

The only reason this hotel did not get all 10 was the restaurant. The most expensive and worst meal our entire trip. $65 for 2 entrees and 2 club sodas, no alcohol. Wifes fish was fishy and only I got 6 ribs that were very dry. Vanilla ice cream unetabl.

Probably the best lodging of the places we stayed on are trip to Costa Rica but the price reflects that ! Also had a very good breakfast included!!!

Noisy at night and morning

We stayed 2 nights with 2 teenagers in 2 separate rooms. The rooms are comfortable. The garden is neat, lovely and perfect for relaxation it it's not raining :-). The staff is perfect. We loved the happy hours and spent the evenings at our dinner table playing cards, it was fun.

The lighting of the rooms could be better. They are perfect for sleepy people. Also the rooms were a bit cold for us. The breakfast is a bit plain with not the best jams, breads and salamis and I missed more vegetables.

Beautiful gardens and layout of the hotel; common living room with books and games to share Staff were excellent!

Rooms were more or less comfortable; small and outdated bathroom. Was not soundproof

Very polite and helpful staff. The amenities were good and the breakfast was good as well. the location was near the city center and restaurants.

the room was quite small. I did do a last minutes booking so they did their best to accommodate my family.

Rooms were not well maintained, bathrooms were extremely cramped and tiny. Room layout was very difficult to navigate, hardly any space to put luggage. Curtains don’t block any sunlight. Windows don’t block any sound (or insects). Room service was nearly non existent. Asked twice for fourth towel for fourth occupant in the room, was told they will send it, no one showed up. Breakfast was ok, but the items were not replenished adequately. Cheap fruits only, no mangos or guava etc. No fresh juice. Average coffee. Staff was unfriendly. No microwave or fridge in room or common area. You are allowed to use staff room which was dirty with ancient appliances. Overall, I am glad I was there for only 2 nights. Will not recommend or return.

Wish the room was little big or had 1 chair to sit.

We stayed here for three nights and had a lovely time. In particular, Jenni who checked us in was amazing helping us with our room and issues with the car hire. The room was lovely, spacious and clean, breakfast was included and the location close to lots of restaurants and shops.

Room was cramped. Bathroom was too large and wish they used some of that space for the room.

More storage, but with cramped rooms, I can see that this may not be possible.

It's a great place to stay, but request a room away from the restaurant. They play loud music from 6am until 10pm and you can hear people's dinner conversations when they are sitting near the fountain. The staff are amazing. I left my credit card in the supermarket and one of the staff sorted it all out for me. I'm annoyed I didn't get her name. She was a pregnant lady anyway.

You don't always get hot water in the morning. My advice is don't wake up too late. The property relies on solar heating.

Breakfast at the hotel is good. A buffet style selection with plenty of choice. The hotel is situated in a good position for many of the activities.

We have travelled around Costa Rica and this hotel was not as clean as others. We had damp curtains, marks on the walls and an excessive amount of insects due to the lack of cleanliness. I am sure this can be sorted with a deep clean and better management.

The setting and landscaping are relaxing and well kept.

No heat or air conditioning. The lack of HVAC caused the bathroom to have a strong mildew smell.

Exceptional

New Years Eve they closed the bar so we could not ring in the new yaer with a drink

Very cute and comfy. Close distance to park entrance, and also many local cafe and restaurant options.Full of plants and flowers, you’d feel you’re residing in a garden.

Base of our timing , this was the best option we could have . We all happy with food options. Specially happy hrs lol. Overall good value for location.

Little old and need some required updates in room. Like lights and bathrooms.

Room was nice, so we're grounds and breakfast was very good.

Hotel charged my card $50 more than the price I was given on booking.com. They claimed this was booking.com commission and had to be paid by me. I pointed out that I had used booking.com hundreds of times before and this had never happened and would be illegal in most countries but they would not return the money or listen to me even though they admitted other people had complained about the same thing.

Loved the huge variety in the buffet, especially all the fresh fruits. The location, off the busy road was lovely, loved walking down th earth to table etc in the area. Nice walk into town. Very helpful, staff , loved our student helper Sophia… beautiful grounds and awesome sitting areas inside and outside. Rooms were small, but you have a beautiful veranda. Hot showers were fantastic. Great value.
