    • location was amazing and the size of the property is huge. kids had a great time running outside and discovering the 'aljibe'

    • The property is in a beautiful location and lovely lay out. We upgraded so had the individual private pools which were lovely.

    Cons -

    • I would have loved to be alerted about the communion celebration happening. I booked it based on its more remote and peaceful setting for a solo, quiet getaway but there was a 200 person communion party with music and children screaming for a good portion of the first stay. A note upon booking would have been sufficient!
    • You must tell them in advance about any meals you wish to eat in the restaurant. They won’t just spontaneously serve you. The hotel was quite which was lovely but when asking to update there was no discount or incentive to do so. They make us pay full price even though it was almost empty.
    • Lack of comfortable outdoor seating and where this existed there were no parasols. Also a pool would have made this perfect. Very happy though and would return.

Location is stunning and the whole experience was first class. Dining was also excellent along with staff. We had the starter menu which was delicious.

Fabulous location leading up to the castle in lovely grounds. We had a cabin set in the lush grounds which was very comfortable with everything one would need. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent - beautifully prepared and presented. Highly recommended.

The only disappointment was to do with dinner. Not knowing any of the wines we selected one of the cheaper Spanish ones but was later informed this was not available and another one substituted. It was not until we got the bill that we realised the substitute was more than three times the price. We feel this was a bit naughty, although I guess we should have asked the price when offered it.

Very pretty hotel in a picturesque spot. The room was a good size with a bath and shower, attractive decor with a private outside terrace, although the gardens around the hotel are lovely. The restaurant is an absolute must as the food was delicious, good quality wine and very reasonable prices.

Our room was adjacent to the stairwell down to the restaurant and the sound proofing wasn't great, luckily the hotel was quite quiet and so this didn't prove to be an issue. Nothing else to complain about, it was a very enjoyable stay.

The hotel has lovely spots in the garden and our dinner in the restaurant was fantastic. The location of the hotel is great, a good opportunity to stretch your legs after a day of meetings, with a short tour to the castle. Unfortunately we had to check out before breakfast started.

A warmer duvet would have been the icing on the cake.

The hotel was very clean, relaxing and peaceful. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Lovely rooms with comfortable beds and an excellent evening meal and breakfast. We really enjoyed or stay and look forward to returning one day.

    Nothing it was wonderful.

The setting is beautiful and the food at the restaurant was actually quite good. On the first evening, the waiter was friendly and helpful, and the room initially looked charming.

Unfortunately, the stay was ruined by poor hygiene and unprofessional service. I had cockroaches in the room on both nights, and staff/reception did not handle it properly—no apology, no compensation, and even a comment that it’s "normal" in nature. The second room I was moved to had a disturbing boiler noise all night. Breakfast service staff seemed disinterested; one morning we had to wait a long time for someone to show up, and the next, the food was cold. There were also billing issues during lunch on the second day, and the staff didn’t inspire trust or professionalism.

Good heating in the room, mosquito repellent in the room, but no slippers, electric car charger, convenient parking, especially if you decide to go up to the fortress (without a hotel reservation, sometimes access there is closed), Very beautiful area around the hotel, super green and lots of shade in the heat

We had dinner at the hotel (reservation separately), chose the set menu, I didn't eat anything from what was offered. A hint of haute cuisine, beautiful presentation of dishes, but unfortunately, everything was tasteless to me. My husband also didn't like the dishes and the offered wines. At the same time, the service was good.Breakfast is one of the poorest breakfasts we've seen in a hotel with such a price for a room with breakfast. There were no vegetables at all for breakfast and a very small selection of desserts. You won't go hungry, but I wouldn't recommend taking breakfast.

Excellent junior staff. Lovely ambience . Rooms have comfortable beds. Good facilities. A kettle and a fridge and a bath ?. Beautiful grounds with ample parking.

There is no bar service at certain times or a bar area in which to sit. They need to seriously “up their game” in the restaurant. Cold food , raw , cold plates . The chef seems more interested in the appearance of the food rather than the taste. Avoid if you can.

The attitude of the staff was impressive. When we asked for help with anything, the response was immediate.

This time we were unfortunate with the cold and rainy weather. Mont Samt offers out door experiences which are very nice when the weather is warm and sunny.

Very good location and friendly staff. Room was comfortable and had plenty of facilities.

They didn’t answer the phone for restaurant or reception at 20:30 for room service. We then had a call back just after 11 which woke us up and startled us.We paid for the breakfast at €16 per person which isn’t bad if the breakfast on offer is good. Unfortunately, there wasn’t anyone to meet us there and there was little to no hot food, the toaster was off and the meat was gone off.

Lovely property. We didn’t eat in the restaurant except for breakfast which was excellent .Castle is above the hotel and well worth visiting.

It is up a steep hill so you need to be fit

The size of the rooms and the decoration was fantastic. We also enjoyed the views from the lookout point.

The breakfast area was understaffed. During at least 15 minutes there was NO ONE in the room. There were no forks, no tomato, we couldn't get the coffee machine to work, etc.

Beautiful grounds, clean rooms and friendly staff. Very relaxing retreat!

    9SamPosted on: 12-4-2024

The setting was spectacular. Rooms were beautifully remodeled and captured historical ambiance.

Our room was close to the lower level ding room. Breakfast could use some more elegance and improvement in options.

Facilities perfect, rooms well apportioned and clean, property beautiful, staff top-notch

Beautiful location. Well taken care of property and landscaping.

Could use a bit more directional signs to get around better on the property.
