    Pros +

    • Great location near castle and good walking routes. the suite was very modern and Estelle was very relaxed.
    • Deceptive location but perfect for exploring this historic town. The castle overlooks the hotel. Our host was extremely friendly with perfect English and she advised us on places to eat etc. We were just passing through and knew nothing about Xativa beforehand. It really is worth a visit. The vibe in the Plaza on a Friday evening with so many young people and families was fantastic. We hope to visit again with more time.
    • The coffee machine next to our room in reception going off at 7 in the morning plus people banging on our door.

    Cons -

    • Lots of steps
    • We were fortunate to find a parking place outside the Maga Rooms but the alternative is a steep walk up the hill.
    • No windows in our cell .therefore we had to leave the door open all night to get air in ! And a shower base leaking that flooded the bathroom floor .

Wonderful place: clean, minimalist and very comfortable room, just on the side of castle. Very nice and helpful stuff. for parking place you need to pay extra but just in the corner you can find free parking. I definitely recommend this place

    absolutely everything was good

Great hosts who accommodated our request to keep our bikes and bags after checkout. Very friendly. Great location for walking to the castle. Room was great as well.

    Everything was good

the place is beautifully renovated and set up, a pleasant 5-to-10 minute walk from plaça del mercat and plaça de la Seu, about 15 minute downwalk to the station and just exactly at the foot of the way to the castle!

only concern about this particular room is the stairs to the mezzanine bed and shower could be tricky for/with small children. everything else was just great!

Zativa itself (the town) was nice. The room was clean

We've travelled around Spain to over 60 locations - This stay was our worst. We rarely leaving negative comments, but the Maga Rooms was poor. When we arrived at the apartments another couple couldn't could get in the main doors and were arguing with the owner over the phone. They said the coded door continuously wouldn't open throughout their stay and they were waiting for a steward to fix it, yet again. We were stuck outside for 40 minutes and when the steward arrived it took her 15 to get inside. Our room had been misrepresented. There wasn't any outside windows. There was one main glass panel looking out directly onto the foyer at the reception and table for people to sit. The glass was hidden by a large blind at the side of our bed so if we opened the blind everyone would've been looking directly at us through the glass. This meant that it wasn't possible to sit in the room with the blind open making the room like a cave. There was only a bed so nowhere else to sit. On the bed we noticed a wet patch, caused by a leak in the ceiling. The drip was only small but significant as the bed was getting wetter. We called the owner who immediately became abusive in tone, bellowing down the phone, not letting me speak. I told her the dripping needed fixing to which she yelled, 'Leave if you don't like it!' before slamming the phone down. We were vulnerable and had no where else to go. We'd travelled all day and it was late and so we thought we'd ride it out for one night. We moved the bed from underneath the drip and rolled back the wet blanket. We've never encounter such and angry and discourteous person as the owner.AlsoThe room wasn't peaceful - every time someone came into the foyer it was very noisy and this happened a lot through the night. There were only two powerpoints in the room. Parking wasn't guaranteed. We were lucky to get the one spot available.

the location is perfect, the rooms are minimalist but with a very high quality finish to everything

at the start it’s very automated and we didn’t get the chance to ask about how everything worked . so you kind of have to find out for yourself and be proactive

Comfortable, spacious and reasonably clean with a kettle and cups for making tea/coffee. a shortish walk into the town centre.Good breakfast.

Breakfast was a bit later than the already rather late start time and the lady serving it was initially rather unfriendly. In the end it was quite good though and the lady got more friendly. Not the fault of the accommodation but much of the town is shut on Sunday night.

The owner of the place is super helpful and polite. Great place for parking car. A very good option for those who are looking for a place to stay during visiting the surroundings of Xativa!

    Passable

Room without window. Needed to use the aircon at night with the noise it creates. Found difficult to rest.

This place feels more like a Mediterranean home than a typical hotel. Rooms are situated in the old stone house. And the breakfast was served around the corner, in a big open kitchen, with homemade jams, and the lady pressed orange juice, cooked coffee and cooked omelette just in front of us. It was like visiting a friend in a Mediterranean :) Very unique and friendly experience.

    Room was clean

Could have had some coffee just a couple of tea bags thrown on a tray. I didnt like the open bathroom in the room. It would have been better to have it split. I was staying with a friend so going to the toilet was not very private. It was also very noisy cars would pass the room early in the morning.

This is a lovely place to stay in a really traditional part of Town close to many of the main features of the Town. The owners go out of their way to give you guidance on check in and things to do in the area. The room was very clean and the pictures match the experience (which isn't always the case).

Breakfast was very good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Location excellent

    Open plan toilet.

    8RogerPosted on: 5-1-2022

The location was very good, within easy walking distance from the castle and the town centre. Breakfast was also very good, especially considering the very reasonable price of the accommodation, served by very friendly staff. The rooom was very clean and everything necessary for a short stay was available, and tea and coffee making facilities were available.

We had one of the very basic rooms, which was a bit bare, with a concrete floor and walls with no rugs etc. It was a bit dark, and smelled a bit musty when we entered. On a hot summer day though, I expect it would be pleasantly cool! The bathroom only separated by a wall but no door took a bit of getting used to.
