Hotel Punta Sur

The staff tried so hard to please all the guests and the rooms were large and comforting.The breakfast was a wonderful surprise, and we enjoyed lying by the pool. The location while adjacent the highway had beautiful views of the mountains.

Beach vibes hotel/motel

No direct walking access to beach. Had to drive although it’s very near.

Beautiful setting, really comfortable beds very well furnished. Lovely gardens with the rooms, beautiful big pool.

The restaurant was amazing and we had a wonderful dinner there! The family room was beautiful and spacious, with a nice private garden. The property was beautiful with gorgeous gardens and some really cool peacocks.

The breakfast offering could have been a bit more robust, but it was still nice.

The hotel reminded me of some of the wonderful early 70s resorts in Florida and the Bahamas, nice quality, full of charming details from the live peacocks and ducks walking around the waterfall and pond to the super kitch mosaic fireplace.And the restaurant was wonderful (breakfast and dinners.)

I had to think to find faults. I guess that the access to the beach right on front of the hotel requires walking through rusty fences and going down a pretty steep path. But that was fun, and nobody comes to that area to go to that tiny beach anyway. The real windsurfing beaches are two minutes away.

A great location near Tarifa and the beaches, with the possibility of seeing a wonderful sunset. Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, with a bath, fridge and kettle (very important for tea)! Great continental style breakfast included, and although it’s not obvious, you can ask for extras like fried or scrambled eggs! Also nice with ducks and peacocks roaming in the grounds.

The only real disappointment for us, was opting to eat at their restaurant for convenience one evening, as the food really wasn’t that special. There are plenty of nicer/cheaper places nearby, such as El Franćes or Los Mellis in Tarifa.

Beautifully set in attractive gardens, with rooms scattered around the grounds. Perfect for visitors like us with a dog.Excellent restaurant

The location, the grounds, the accommodation was a good size. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice

at Receotion - Otman was - it seemed - concerned that the room that had been allocated required going up a relatively steep incline - and changed our room, - very considerateroom was very spacious

Breakfast - we have visited Punta Sur several times before - and the breakfasts were a VERY special occasion - big display and selection - NOT SO now !Still quite good - but nothing - nothing like before

Parking is tricky until you know directions to the cheaper Reine Sophia parking on the port ,,, a message in advance from The property would have been useful .

Breakfast and food at the resort was great. Nothing else could've wanted. The staff were great too. Location of the property is fantastic. so many restaurants near by. Staff were really helpful and we're glad we went there.

Comfort around pillows

Beautiful gardens , large pool , great menu , pool table in the lobby and they provide pool towels !

For me the beds were uncomfortable, too hard and with a ridge in the middle but that might just be personal preference

Breakfast was amazing, lovely restaurant. Pool was great. Room and bathroom was amazing. Lovely and spacious.

I stayed here for a wedding and it was the perfect location for it. The staff, rooms, facilities (especially the pool) were all fantastic. The food in the restaurant was also lovely and we ate here most days.

This isn’t a dislike but just be aware that to leave the hotel for the beach or Tarifa town is safest by car. The hotel is in a busy main road.

The gardens, pool and outside spaces. Proximity to the beach. Most staff were lovely. Delicious cherries at breakfast.

The breakfast was a little monotonous. The same type of cake, banana, every morning for five days. Suite was tired.

Gardens and pool were gorgeous and rooms very spacious and lovely. A perfect place for a quieter get away. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was great in the restaurant and setting was stunning.

The mattress was not great, could definitely afford an upgrade.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful outside space to eat under the stars. Pool clean and large to cool off in!

Great location for access to Tarifa and local area. The site is beautiful and the staff so helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.

Access to the beach it’s a bit tricky and, arriving in early spring, rim was a little cool at times. But overall we would return happily!
