Hotel Cidade de Olhão

I didn't like the showers and I didn't like my room because i couldn't open my curtains the reason being the pool was right outside my door

Well appointed, modern , clean, quiet, comfortable nice helpful staff All good  would definitely stay again

Check in was great. Staff friendly. Value for room was ok, a little more expensive than what we felt it was worth but would stay again. When we left we left an item in the room and the staff contacted us about it which was very nice.

Just about location, with no parking area available (quite difficult to find a spot in the street) and, it was kind of far from big supermarkets.

Room felt damp. We were on the 1st floor (good in and of itself) and we didn’t feel secure enough to open the windows.

Good location , very clean hotel . Comfy bed .

No coffee or tea in the room . Small bathroom. We were there when there was a 12 hour power blackout . No offer of any food or drink. Think could have been a little more helpful in the situation guests were in .

Staff were helpful and friendly. Very clean, great location for the bus terminal and train station which were just round the corner.The marina was a 15-minute walk away.

Everything was good

The staff was very friendly and helpful.Thank you to Iara,Leticia and Bruno! The studio apartment was good size with king bed and sofa bed. A fully equipped kitchen. Windows opened up and there was also air conditioning. The street was quiet at night. The pool was great with clean water and sun shining between 9-17:00 into the leisure area.you could rent bikes to be dropped to hotel to cycle Rio Formosa National Park or the town itself. Highly recommend.

Studio was spacious, comfortable bed, sound proof, very good breakfast, pool area to lounge was great, very clean, close to the Marina, staff was helpful & always friendly. Front lobby was also nice to relax.

I cannot think of anything

The rooms and the hotel itself is beautiful and clean and the breakfast is great, however a bit expensive. Faro is cheap to get to by bolt taxi, and the train station is very close by.

The guests of this hotel are strangely quiet and unsociable, felt uncomfortable to even have a conversation by the pool, despite us being respectful young women. Aswell as this, the area that the hotel is situated is very run down. As a woman I unfortunately did not feel safe walking around the area, in day time or night time.

Perfect room with everything we needed for a short stay of 4 days. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. My daughter loved the swimming pool which is perfectly situated in the sun all day.. the location is wonderful for access to the main square and shops, restaurants and marina.

Nothing to not like

Looking for a parking space was exciting every day but we managed quite well. Centre and boulevard were close. Lots of nice restaurants and the shops keep getting better too. The hotel was quiet. Windows closed no noise from outside. Windows open at night no problem because mostly quiet. Kitchen was well equipped. We made breakfast ourselves there. Had lunches out. The pool was nice with lots of sun beds. Haven’t used it though. Bathroom was big enough for one person at a time. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was helpful when necessary.

Lovely decor, comfy beds. Nice little balcony overlooking pool area. Nice quality toiletries. Friendly personnel. Good location for bus & train station.

Bathroom could do with better ventilation. Odd smell from air con unit too. Really didn't like drinks from the bar being served in plastic (coffees in paper cups), when had no intention of taking them outside....a coffee machine in the room (rather than a kettle) would be nice.
