The pool and close access to the beach. Also the breakfast buffet is worth the additional charge to the room.

Housekeeping staff were not as helpful. Had to call a couple of times whenever you ask for anything (towels or ice bucket). Also the bar/disco music is very loud and you could hear the bass all the way in our room (we were staying on 3rd floor)

Generally it was good stay . I liked the whole experience. We liked that there’s a beach access from the back of the hotel. Staff were also nice and helpful.

It’s a bit overpriced for what it offers. Breakfast items , except salads and fruits, were not as of good quality,

location is great in the qurum. the hotel is within walking distance to several restaurants, coffee shops, lounges. interior of the hotel is very pretty and clean. the pool and lawn areas are nice and large.

we were placed in room 101 with the giant red exterior uplighting situated right outside our window which was legitimately blinding at night unless you fully drew the curtains. the patio was so small it couldnt fit a chair. the beds were pretty ahrd although i prefer that, my partner doesnt. getting taxis in oman is a bit of a gamble. they dont run meters and often try to avoid telling you the price until you arrive and surprise, its 3x what youd expect. otaxi also arent allowed to pick up at the hotel. i asked the concierge and he said that the valets outside would grab a taxi and fix a price. i asked the hotel valets to grab me a taxi and get a price. they exchanged words but them sent me off, never could get a price, had them stop at the end of the driveway and let me out. went back up and the valet said with the hotel taxis either agree to get unmetered price at end or walk back down the block and get an otaxi. disappointing that the hotel is actively participating in this type of behavior to scam guests.

I really enjoyed my stay at Intercontinental Muscat Hotel. The location is excellent, with easy access to the public beach. The room was very clean, and the staff were wonderfully welcoming and attentive. I especially loved the piano music in the evening—it created a lovely atmosphere.The only thing I felt was missing was the option of boiled black tea at the breakfast buffet. Having it available would have made the breakfast experience even more complete.

Upon arrival, we learned that the main pool was undergoing maintenance, but we were allowed to use the W Hotel's pool (next door). On the last day of our holiday, the pool then opened.

Very nice resort. Across from the beach and Royal Opera. Breakfast was nice. Very strong Internet.

The staff was very arranging and allowed us to check in at noon instead of 3pm, and to use the pool and facilities while waiting for the room to be ready. Same happened the next day when our flight was only scheduled at 11pm. We could stay around all day and were provided with a pass to also go to the beach and the pool. The room was very comfortable, the shower was huge and the shower products of very good quality. Breakfast is out of this world, with so much to choose from.

The dinner prices at the hotel's restaurant Tomato (the only one we tried) are too high. But what's great is that you have a large choice of restaurants just outside the hotel with more reasonable prices. Also, not the hotel's fault but the one next door (the W I believe) played really loud music until very late at night.

It was close to the beach, had a nice view, nice rooms with modern decor and pretty decent amenities without being obscenely expensive.

The room was beautiful and the bed was mostly comfortable but a bit too firm for my liking, not hard, just not plush, pillows were great though. The bathroom was in great shape and very clean but the sliding glass door would make an awful screech every time I had to use it. I never used the pool but it had really tacky astroturf everywhere. They seem to really like using this stuff in Oman. This is a desert, it’s ok that grass doesn’t grow here, laying down a bunch of green plastic isn’t fooling anyone and it makes what would have been a really nice area instantly look incredibly cheap and tacky.

We enjoyed every moment staying at the Hotel, walking distance from the Opera House and 2 shopping/market complexes that have many lively restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. One of our Favourite dinning experiences was the dinning at Trader Vick’s with outdoor seating. We went there twice :)

No private beach available. We had to cross through a gate to a public beach, not convenient to swim or to even lay down, not lounge chairs available.

Well maintained, clean, friendly staff, excellent location by the sea.

The valet parking signage was not kept in the front reception entrance; no guidance was given to me at the time of arrival for Valet parking assistance as we had to carry a big bag from the far parking lot to the reception. When you stay for a week in this hotel, things will be different as every time you go out for shopping and get back to the hotel, you will find challenge in car parking any given point of time and also there is no basement parking and the distance from the parking to the room is huge with bags and children with hot and humid temperature.
