Our stay at the ROYAL TULIP MUSCAT was excellent. The Hotel was , clean, Breakfast was Good. The staff was very welcoming friendly and helpful. Abdullah at reception, komal and Pradeep at the Restaurant, and Mohsin at housekeeping were Excellent with their service. I will definitely recommend this Hotel . I would definitely come to stay at this Hotel again.

breakfast was sufficient, not spectacular but standard western hotel style. Free parking under hotel is convenient.

Breakfast was good. Staff excellent. Room comfortable, if a bit outdated.

Location seemed to be in a commercial area, but the price reflected the location so that was fine.

The bed could have been a little more comfortable (the mattress was a bit hard, and the pillows too high).

Although we were 3 people, they had forgotten to bring in the extra bed. The hot water in the room was not working and after calling the reception many times and having someone come in and look at it, we had to change rooms to another floor. The 3rd bed in the new room came.2 hours afterwards, after we had called 3 times! We also ordered room service that never came.

The hotel and its restaurant were really good, very good value for money. The swimming pool on the rooftop offered very good views of the surrounding neighborhoods all the way to the sea as well as the Sultan Qaboos Mosque, with the hotel being one of the tallest buildings in the area. The room was very comfortable, the restaurant offered delicious and fairly priced meals for both dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend, as this hotel is a serious competitor to other 5* in the city.

Some more sun umbrellas would be beneficial at the swimming pool on the rooftop.

Location and reception.

I didn't like the room view, it was dark and almost closed, and there was a bad smell in the room. The rooftop pool was small and too crowded.

Room was very nice and comfortable. Front desk staff, especially Ammar, were super helpful. The rooftop and gym areas were lovely.

Comfortable, classy and well-appointed. Five minutes walk from a big shopping mall.

Apparently, if you order breakfast when you check in, it’s OMR3/$8 cheaper than paying at breakfast. The staff member who checked me in did not make this clear at the time. I went back later that evening to confirm that I would have breakfast, and she said that I could pay in the morning at the restaurant, without mentioning the higher price. When I expressed my surprise at the cost, after I ate, I got a shrug, a half hearted apology and a mumble about policy instead of an offer of the check in rate for the meal. Unfortunately, this will be my enduring memory of an otherwise pleasant hotel.

Amazing staff, comfortable clean big sized room, and wonderful restaurant.

Wonderful and attentive staff. Quiet room with an enormous size. Located in Ghubra - close to many shops and within walking distance to a couple of restaurants - loved Lahab (not a fancy place but superb local food). Pool (roof top) and decent gym. Great breakfast. Complimentary coffee and dates in the lobby (nice hangout zone with lots of comfortable lounge chairs and sofas). Many little things/details give you the feeling that the hotel is well managed and taken care of.

There is no beach next to it (to be fair: it does not pretend to be a beach hotel).

Royal Tulip Muscat is able to meet every expectations of a solo travel. It was clean, staff was kind, the swimming pool has beautiful landscape(oceancapeee) and was so clean. I admire the smooth disipline of the staff.

Location was great. Whole staff was very nice and polite. Room was always cleaned very well. Pool area was very beautiful and clean, water was refreshing, not too cold, not too hot. Bed was comfortable and good to sleep. Big plus for the gym as well!

It would be nice to have spoons (got them later) and some decaf coffee in the room.

Bad smell in some part of hotel some times.One of sofa was dirty on suite.

The location is in the middle of the town. The breakfast is very good. The Gym and the swimming pool are fine.

Firstly, I was really shocked when I entered my room 529 and found no view. I just saw a wall in front of the window. I was not informed about that by the receptionist, and when I asked, they said the hotel is fully booked. I think I should have told you about that. Secondly, as a tourist, I asked about some brochures for Muscat, but the answer was that we don't have. I think a 4-star hotel should have pamphlets about the city's tourist attractions.
