Beautiful property and poolsLobby and rooms are depressing I would not come back and don't recommend it The place would amazing if it was updated with a good designer but it's far from that now. The bathroom smelled like a sewer for a few hours and door key sticks

Property was very clean and relatively easy to find. Had a beautiful large room with a a great view overlooking the pool on the 1st floor. Comfortable accommodations and would stay here again

Check in was a bit unorganized. One host checking in about 8 guests and also manning the bar. He was professional, maintained his calmness and was polite. Many of the rooms were not ready yet at 3pm, hence I think that’s why he was juggling things….but did a good job,, but having help would have been good.

I went to see.my daughter The hotel is ideal as it is near the beach and on the level as I am elderly . Also the gardens are very.good

Absolutely nothing

Everything, terrible breakfast, hard uncomfortable beds, location of our room when we asked for a quiet room, they say 4 start, not at all, I wouldn’t even give it a 1 star,

Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice hot showers. Firm bed. Easy walk to restaurants and beach. Wonderful hike up to the cliffs! Lots of trails.

Our air unit was not controllable. But the staff helped as best they could. Need more fresh fruit at breakfast.

Varying temperature lightbulbs, hair in bathtub/shower from previous occupants, extremely worn blankets and holes in towels.

The receptionist on my arrival was surly and refused to help me with my luggage to my room which was up steep, narrow stone steps. The safe in the room was broken, so I had to ask a friend who lives in the area to store my passport, house keys and other valuables.There were no tea-making facilities in the room. There was not even a waste-paper basket. It was pared to the minimum.I stayed for 11 nights during which they never changed the sheets!! This is rated as a 4 star hotel and that is unforgiveable. It clearly does not merit anything near 4 stars.The room was serviced in the late afternoon when one returned to one's room for a shower and wanted privacy - clearly they have insufficient staff to service the rooms, like other hotels, in the morning when guests are out.The chamber maid never "made" the bed, just pulled the covers up over a crumped bed!Breakfast had no fresh fruit salad or selection of fresh fruit. The cereal was cheap cornflakes, no muesli or healthy cereals. I ended up buying fresh fruit and taking it into breakfast. Breakfast only ran from 8.00 - 9.30.I've travelled the length and breadth of Portugal and never stayed in a hotel where the service was so poor.

It was tired. Understaffed. Nothing was open. Pool bar closed, none of the extra services available as advertised. Pool needs re-tiling (last year).Seemed like the place was being ran on skeleton staff.

Not enough to do, the pool bar wasn't open, both pools needed fixing, air con in one room didn't work and hairdryer only lasted 5 min

Location was great within walking distance to Luz beach the promenade with local restaurants, shops etc.

Firstly when I arrived and checked into my room and opened the balcony sliding door, it came away from the rails. I then asked help from reception and was told that the maintenance person had gone home (1pm in the afternoon!) The receptionist said there wasn't another room to offer me so he came up to the room and managed to fix and lock the patio door leaving me with only the other side that could be opened. The room safe lock had been removed, holes in the curtains, a hole in one of my hand towels and the pool sides were dangerous with broken white bars just before you enter - very dangerous for children I would imagine.

Hotel grounds need to be kept

It was excellent.

The hair dryer could have worked and the staff could have been knowledgeable regarding the days that the nearby restaurant (the only one they mentioned) was closed - our day.

The rooms were good nice and clean could probably do with an update the beds were clean and comfortable the staff apart from one young man were very friendly and helpful

On the downside there were no tea making facilities in the room which we missed otherwise everything was ok I know it was winter which made a difference also breakfast times could be extended it finished at 9.30 10 would have been better.

The location is great, you can walk to the beach, cafes and restaurants. The pool area and gardens are very nice. Breakfast is perfectly fine and the staff are very nice.

The room, though quite big and with a nice veranda, was very dated. The towels are threadbare, the soap (?) was distilled into an unmarked plastic dispenser and the pillows are not pleasant.

Worst pillows I've ever felt. Hands down, and I've worked in 3rd world countries.In general, just a little run down considering the price.

grounds are gorgeous and close the beach.

unclean rooms (thick dirt along top of curtains/ spiders on pillows/ dusty floor) / sparse and very uncomfortable. no toiletries apart from a cheap hand soap. no kettle just a fridge but no glasses, plates, cutlery. very disappointed with the standard from booking.com for this to be rated 4* it would scrape 2*. around the pool there was one broken sun umbrella which was shocking and easily fixed.
