Mar da Luz offers elegant accommodations between Praia da Luz and Burgau villages, 3.7 mi from the seafront city of Lagos. It includes an outdoor swimming pool and free sauna. Apartments are decorated in a modern style and have air conditioning and a satellite TV. Some apartments have their own private swimming pool and garden. The fully equipped kitchen has a washing machine and a dishwasher. It features all the necessary utensils to prepare meals. Alternatively, guests can head to Praia da Luz, located 3 k away, and enjoy a multitude of restaurants, bars, and supermarkets. When the weather is colder, guests can enjoy the indoor swimming pool. After a day out, guests can return and enjoy a relaxing Spa treatment, hot tub and Turkish bath. There is a fitness center available. When the day is sunny, guests can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool. There is a separate outdoor pool for children. Mar da Luz offers a car and bicycle rental service, which guests can use to explore further the Algarve coast. Sagres, a surfer’s paradise, is 16 mi away. There is a shuttle service available, and Faro International Airport is located a 60-minute drive away.

- Mar da Luz has very nice apartments. The apartments at the ground floor have a private swimming pool, the ones at the first floor have a big terrace with nice view over the ocean. Our apartment was big with two sleeping rooms and two bath rooms. The kitchen was fully equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, two coffee machines (filter and capsules) and a toaster. There was a big smart TV and airco / heating system. Next to the big terrace (with the view over the ocean), there were also two smaller terraces. There is also a hot tub, but it seemed a bit old and not clean (so we didn't use it). The reception is located in the central building, next to a small fitness room (with some cardio machines, one (rather old) multi-function machine and enough dumbbells to keep your musles fit) and a spa area (with a small but nice indoor swimming pool, a hot tub and a nice sauna). The personnel and cleaning staff were really friendly. Wifi connection was good and fast. The resort is located in a very quiet neighborhood, 5 km out of the center of Luz. We were not in high season which could explain why it was also so quiet in the resort itself (it has 15 rooms, 6 were occupied when we were there in April). There are some restaurants close-by, but you need a car (or bike) to get there.

- The garage has very small parking spots and a narrow entrance. Luckily we got a different parking spot which was a (bit) bigger.
