    Pros +

    • Great hotel very close to the marina from where all boat tours depart. Close to the town, about 10 minute walking-distance to restaurants and shops. We walked from there to the beach and to Ponta da Piedade.Rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the pool is so refreshing after a full day in the sun. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back.
    • Fantastic staff friendly.
    • The only redeeming qualities about the property is the location. To be fair, the property was clean and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I breakfast was very very poor. They should not even advertise that they have one. Even for the price, it is not a good value. The facility is closer to a hostel rather than a hotel. I would not recommend.

    Cons -

    • It would be better if my room had a minibar.Little fridge.
    • The good reviews on the hotel are probably paid for because this "3 star hotel" is worse than a road side motel. It's overpriced and outdated, the rooms are poorly equipped (no fridge, no coffee maker, very basic bathroom essentials). Same scarce food for breakfast day after day from a cheap supermarket. It tasted like it had been expired for awhile. And on top of that, on the very first day, when I asked the staff how to cool down a bottle of wine (no fridge in the room), some individual who refused to introduce himself and just said "I run this place", said "No, go buy drinks at the hotel bar". This is how they treat their guests. I had paid 700 Euros for 5 nights and my stay was very unpleasant. Booking.com must ban that place!
    • We took hand luggage only so we didnt have room for towels. The sunbeds around the pool were filthy so we took 2 bath towels to lie on (which were clearly old and a bit shabby). The night before we checked out we were told that we had to pay 60 euros as they werent clean. We explained that it was because the sunbeds were filthy and the towels we picked were very old and shabby and if they had to be replaced we would pay a reasonable amount but 2 small towels wouldnt cost 60 euros to replace them. There was no safe in our suite (despite us being told there was one) and no tea or coffee facilities. Prior to us being charged an extortionate amount for two very old and shabby towels we were willing to accept the other issues and had actually gone to reception to book again in September. The Manager refused to come and speak to us and left it to the poor receptionist who himself was very embarrassed by the actions taken by the Manager.

The Property was in a great location, it was basic but most of the staff were friendly. It was very quiet. We had a suite and it had almost everything youd need. The pool was a great addition

    Location, friendly staff

No any socket in the room to charge phones. Breakfast was pretty humble

Cute old fashioned American style inn. Clean, comfortable and with friendly staff.

The location was good but a little bit further away from the city center than previously imagined. But still it was great.

in genera it was a fine hotel to stay for couple of nights, and to be out for most of the day, 15-20 min of Lagos to the center and 5 min to the cloosest supermarket. Parking right next to the hotel. have not used swimming pool, but its there.

we order some food for the dinner, one time no problem, onother time we were tald that we are not allowed to eat in the room. Weird, we had bulkony with a table, what might seemt to be a problem..

Pool area small but clean and surrounded by beautiful plants

Tv wasn't working told 2 staff but nothing done about it, I was only staying 1 night on route to Faro so no major inconvenience. Not a fan of the breakfast either ok if you like tinned peaches or pineapple

Very nice breakfast. The location is perfect as the marina offers a high number of restaurants and the old city is very close over the draw bridge ! Would recommend for sure !

    8SallyPosted on: 8-14-2022

Friendly liked the aesthetics and that it was a bit more traditional good value

Breakfast was prepared nicely and convenient. Room service was daily.

The AC was leaking water every time it was turned on. When noted to staff the first time a bucket was given to us. When we alerted the staff again they said they will call someone to fix it. They said someone did come to fix it however the AC was still leaking water. We used a bucket and towels for all of our stay.

Great room. Everything was very clean and proper. Hotel is a 5 minute walk away from Lagos Marina with vibrant hangouts and restaurants. Pool area was nice. Small but nice.

The airco remote was missing when we arrived, after mentioning this at the reception we found the remote upon entering the room in the evening. Unfortunatly the day after, the maid forgot to leave us new towels and toiletpaper. So we didn't have any of those. Reception picked this up quickly and apologized.

Everthing was just right, location perfect to take in the sights of Lagos near to restaurants and bars just a short walk to town shops and cafes.

    Nothing all great.

Good location, only a short walk to the marina and old town. The owners are delightful people, nothing was too much trouble. All in all 11/10!!

    8RobertPosted on: 9-20-2021

A hotel with tradition, managed by a very nice family, it has a lovely swimming pool. The old lady at the reception will help and explain everything about the attractions in the city, the younger lady serves delicious breakfasts, in particular great coffee with chocolate from the Cino espresso machine, which I will not forget for the rest of my life! Location very close to the train stop. Near Pingo Doce - what more could you want?

Only 2 things: price and air conditioning. As for the price, it knocks you down in the summer season - this is largely due to the popularity of Faro. As for air conditioning - although it is very old it works. Unfortunately, not fresh air blows from it, filter cleaning and disinfection would be required. Luckily we had a room on the 1st floor which wasn't too hot and we could sleep at night without the air conditioning on.
