    • The views at this location are absolutely amazing. The photos of the views do not lie. I enjoy being surrounded by nature and this location did not disappoint. Hands down, beautiful! They also did amazing, excellent job coordinating all my a activities and transportation. Of the three places I stayed, they provided the most professional and best driver. One of their staff members also served as my tour guide. She was excellent! She taught me about the culture, money, economy and made sure I had awesome photos. I also appreciated her gently challenging me when I was a little afraid to do some things. She even took the time to follow-up the next day after I checked out to make sure I had a smooth transition to my next location and to offer any assistance if I needed with suggestions for what to do next.
    • The views were absolutely stunning, creating an incredible connection with nature, and the room size was perfect—spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Service recovery was done but still disappointing.

    Cons -

    • ? I think they charge luxury prices for facilities that are not really in the luxury category, unfortunately. In my opinion the facilities are not maintained well enough. My bathroom was questionable…I honestly had to pump myself up to utilize it. It was not as shown in the photos. There is a bridge that almost everyone has to cross to get to their room. Its made of bamboo. Apparently it is strong enough as they drive scooters over it, but it buckles when you cross it and you can see places where it is broken. I always crossed it slowly.Speaking of the bridge there is a pond with fish on one side. The other side was empty and looked to have been drained without any indication it was going to be refilled. The grounds has a lot of cement with smooth pebbles embedded. When it rains, they’re awfully slippery. And for a place that has a lot of slopes, its not the safest. I slipped and fell once, and I was wearing boots. The food was just okay. The spa…I got my nails done and she did a great job! But I’m glad I did not book any other services. I did not see private rooms - I saw beds separated by curtains and bamboo. It would not have felt luxurious to have service here. Even though my manicurist did a great job, even the dryer was not that clean. My patio…with the lounge chairs and beautiful views…covered with cobwebs and crawling bugs. To their credit, when my room was serviced, I did notice it was cleaned thoroughly. There’s a sign in the banister surrounding the patio that tells you mot lean on it for safety reasons ?When it was time for me to check- out, one of the staff members was a little abrasive about asking me if I took the glass bottle with water. I didn’t understand her at first. Her colleague kind of brushed her to calm down and asked me nicely about it. I did in fact have the glass bottle of water because the note they provided upon check-in said water was complimentary.
    • Unfortunately, our stay in Retreat was a nightmare. Every night we were disturbed by loud noises coming from animals moving between the roof and ceiling—possibly rats, bats, or other wildlife—which made it impossible to rest and relax. In addition, the service was disappointing. We experienced attempts to overcharge for service that were initially described as free of charge or cheaper, which felt misleading. The food quality was poor, and ongoing construction throughout the day created constant noise, significantly affecting the overall experience.
    • Everything is overpriced, x4 then rest of pu luong , no atmosphere, lack of service.

The host was fabulously accommodating. We arrived later than expected and the kitchen was closed, but they rallied to make us dinner because we had a race the next morning. In addition, because we had to check out before the race, they were gracious enough to let us use the showers at the spa after the race. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, the bed wonderfully comfy, and the view beautiful. Sad we had such a short stay.

    Loved it all.

The room was very nice and big with a very nice view from the balcony. The breakfast was very tasty with many options.

The Sharpe slope to the room and to the lobby.

what at nice location ! and most importantly …the staff went the full extra mile when my wife broke her arm. i cant tell in words how much we appreciate their prompt help (bringing us to the hospital, translation, payments etc). just wow and a big thank you to everyone!!!

Amazing value for money! Views are stunning and the resort is beautiful and well equipped. There is in fact air conditioning in the rooms despite the listing saying there isn't.

Was given a garden view room despite choosing mountain view. Didn't mind too much as the price is identical and the view was still good. Staff tried to charge me 3% extra for paying with card despite the final figure being confirmed on booking.com. You should request to complete payment using booking.com if this is the case for you.

If it would have been warmer this stay would have been so beautiful. Even though it was rainy and chilly we had an amazing time. Our guide, Hien, was so sweet. We spend 1 1/2 days with her and enjoyed every minute. The place itself is gorgeous. It will not disappoint you.

    10DouglasPosted on: 3-5-2025

The breakfast buffet was probably the best that we have had in Vietnam!

IT would have been nice to have a little fridge in our room. Also, room service would have been nice as we had to walk quite a way to the restaurant and bar .These however are minor issues in the big picture!

Location was amazing and staff was wonderful

The restaurant food was average. Not very tasty.

Amazing staff, views were incredible, the pictures barely do justice. Wonderful food, a little pricey but worth it. They found out I hadn't tried the meal - Bun Cha, so they made it for lunch for us one day although it wasn't on the menu.

    no complaints

Great staffs (Ms.Ngan is the best, she takes care of customers)

    Slippery slopes

    9KayPosted on: 12-10-2024

Magnificent views, tasty food ( some items a little pricey, but lovely. Must try the roast PuLuong duck. Very comfortable bed with fresh linen and clean rooms.

Unfortunately I don’t speak Vietnamese so it would have been helpful if more staff had a little more English. They did try ?

We loved our stay at the retreat! It is very nice in the middle of the nature. The view is gorgeous and the breakfast ist very yummy. We had dinner once which was very nice as well.We had the room above the pool bar and were a bit afraid that it would be too load but the bar closes at 10 pm which is very nice! :)The Spa treatments (we had massages and hair wash) were great as well. The staff was amazing - very kind, very helpful and always had a smile on their lips when we came! We would like to particularly point out Ms Jolie, who helped us a lot when our flights got changed by the airline and the restaurant manager who was always looking out for us during meals.Thank you!

There were not many English speaking tours from the location, so you should arrange that in advance :)

Great spot - we upgraded to the bungalow with balcony and view. Would strongly recommend as the other bungalow(s) don't have such a good outlook. Food was also very good - a relaxing spot with lovely views
