very nice Hotel, loved the pool, the bar and the restaurant. Just 600m from the Roman site waking distance
It was too hot and A/C could not keep with the room temperature....
Location was good, room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good, car parking was on a private lot.
Booking.com charged my card automatically, few days before the arrival. I expected to pay directly to the hotel at arrival.
Location, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast and evening meals very good, value, would use this hotel again.
Room allocated was very noisy. We will request a quiet room next time.
The location was ok and it had car parking available
Overall confort was below expectations for the price.Sound isolation was weak.Breakfast was not very good either.
The refrigerator and hair dryer are broken. Receptionist gave us an extra hairdryer but the refrigerator could not get repaired. We bought a bottle of milk but had to be put in room temperature.
Fabulous location. Within walking distance of everything
It’s very noisy. There is a restaurant at the bottom and a Main Street on the side and the other residents were very noisy
This is a pretty neat hotel and in a great location, pretty nice walk through the old town passing the soccer stadium as well as the amazing Roman-era amphitheater and theater, etc. friendly staff, clean, great gastropub, great price, etc. just wish the beds were more comfortable though. All in all had a great couple of days in Merida, which is a Spanish treasure for sure.
Location, parking and spacious rooms.
The key requirement of a hotel is the ability to get a good night's sleep. This was simply not possible due to the noise from a large group of young fellow guests. They were shouting and banging doors long after I complained to the night receptionist at 1am! This is simply unacceptable for a 4 star hotel.
Good ParkingVery promising when entering receptionGot room 613 on top floor and this was where it started to go a little wrong.
All rooms on the top and 5th floor anywhere near the elevators will experience noise. The breaking system on both elevators is very noisy so everytime one of them arrives the noise vibrates around the floors.Room clean and tidy but matresses old and uncomfortably. No hot water available in the morning with staff unable to fix it before i checked out.Towels very old, grey and threadbare.Room 613 does have windows that open on to a small courtyard but its set amongst the air conditioning units and a number of other roof top fixtures so there is no view.
Good location, a short walk to the centre. On site Parking was very convenient and at 8 euros a day a reasonable price.
Usual issue with booking a double bed and getting no guarantees.
Friendly staff, the hotel itself looks nice and cosy
It was a sleepless night.. the rooms have zero sound isolation, you can hear other guests walking, talking, drying hair, showering, shaving, coughing, opening doors... truly everything. And even though our room was not close to the elevator, we still heard the elevator going up and down for countless hours... We had no sleep at all.
Comfortable ensuite room, nice pool, good poolside restaurant, good breakfast included, and good parking. The staff were great too.
Breakfast was basic and pretty standard, nothing special. The have many rooms so the breakfast room is also big. Seems a there is frequently events and tourist buses hosted by the hotel. Location is good with 5 mins walk to centre and roman amphi theatre and other interesting places to visit.
The beds were a bit too soft for us.
Pleasant
Bedroom very small bed uncomfortably bathroom good
It was well situated to drive to and parking was available for a fee. It was within easy walking distance of the main tourist and eating areas. Staff were helpful.
The bedrooms were tired, furniture old fashioned and the shower over the bath awkward to access and difficult to not get water everywhere. The hotel lobby was being decorated so the only place to sit socially was by the pool and one afternoon the bar out there was shut as it was too cold. Breakfast very basic and lots of coach parties use the hotel so breakfast was noisy and busy.
The staff are lovely and provide a great service with large, clean rooms.
Comfy bed, everything was clean The bathtub was anti-slip! So nice
The breakfast was much cheaper when paid there
