Sheraton Grand Xishuangbanna Hotel

Nice hotel with spacious and clean room. Breakfast and location are great. We will come back.

Breakfast was amazing! The resort is quite beautiful. Good location to get to the airport. Very nice and well-equipped gym. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The receptionist and concierge were friendly and made you feel at home upon arrival. The front desk put me in a very comfortable king room with a balcony to look at the trees and mountains.The hotel has a wide variety of breakfasts, both Chinese and Western breakfasts: omelette, bacon, hot sausage, various breads and desserts, and Chinese local breakfasts: dried rice, rice noodles, cold noodles, fried noodles, fried rice, and coffee, yogurt, and a variety of beverages you can freely choose.The hotel can book a free bus to take you to the airport, high speed train station and some places in the city. At the hotel there is a swimming pool, colored peacocks and white peacocks to see.

There is no bus to pick you up from airport to hotel. But you can easily get a taxi from airport to hotel.Some of the corners in the hotel gardens need to be cleaned up.

Clean and the room was comfortable

Pool too cold to use, no pool side service apart from cold drinks, disturbed by loud drunk guests, breakfast very poor, no shuttle bus as advertised

Location is a bit far away from city centre but since it’s a resort it makes sense

Staff was excellent, they went above and beyond to make a stay pleasant, including asking about requirements to enter different touristic sites, arranging car to go there, and providing lots of good advice and care. I specially recommend the hotsprings at the hotel.

The room is clean, comfortable and the pool is great. Staff is nice. They let us do a check out at 4 pm, very nice. The balcony was great and there is no noise in the surroundings (we did not have room neighbors. Peaceful and quiet.

Restaurant for breakfast has no terrace. Such a shame to eat inside when there is an amazing weather. Room service and poolside menu is not very nice. There was no staff to serve at the pool, we had to order the drinks by phone, in chinese. It took sometime 45 minutes to get our drinks. It feels like there is no service whatsoever and apart from the clean, nice surroundings, you feel like u are left on your own. 2 other restaurants in the complex, without much life. It takes a good 30 min without traffic to the night market. Overall, it’s good for a couple days to relax far from the noise. This place deserves higher service standards.

The room was good and the lady who checked us in was brilliant as was the waiter at breakfast! Both spoke English really well which was very helpful.

The lunch from the main bar took forever and it was very poor. A soggy Caesar salad and chips. A mojito that was minty flat water and second attempt wasn’t much better. I’d go to eat out at the local markets if you are staying there. Also, people spitting at the side of the pool- disgusting!

This hotel is great and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Kudos to Ivan and Adonia for helping us as foreigners in the region. Worth a visit!

The room was very nice and comfortable. Staff at reception very helpful and friendly. The resort was a nice size, with a great pool area. The evening buffet was very good (range & quality), and at a very reasonable price. The location is good for the airport.

The hotel is in need of renovation, some areas were not accessible due to loose roof tiles, paint was peeling off the walls in many areas. All of the retail shops have been closed down, so there are no possibilities to buy supplies/food/drinks other than what is available in the restaurants - this isn’t great when you have to drive 25minutes into town. The restaurant & bar service levels (we also had club lounge access) during lunch and the afternoon where very poor - sometimes taking more than an hour to receive your food order, even when only 2 or 3 tables were occupied. Tables were also left dirty for many hours at a time too.

It was a beautiful property, not too big, the pool was lovely even tho the water was very cold. Breakfast spread was nice too.

Shame that the hotel was not well maintained though. Paint was peeling, sculptures rusty, wooden roofs damaged. The occupancy was low I guess so restaurants were not operating, buffet dinners were only on weekends. Room service was very average, the burger patty was rock hard.
