InterContinental Xishuangbanna Resort By IHG

Location is good, outdoor swimming pool is not open but only a kids waterpark, indoor swimming pool is available and it is good. Breakfast is okay but too crowded after 9:00AM. The hotel room facilities are outdated, but the resort is well-maintained with beautiful scenery. The travel photography styling requires an additional fee, but the photos are skillfully taken and completed in just 30-40 minutes.

The daily free activities, such as floating water lanterns, are too short. The room is particularly humid, and the old carpet causes a strong odor. The dehumidifier fills up with water in just one afternoon.

Nice resort was quiet in November and restaurants only open at peak times. Pool was under renovation.

The kids outdoor pool was not open in the summer, we were very disappointed.

Very beautiful hotel with excellent facilities! A great romantic place to stay for a couple and also perfect for families with kids. The rooms were very comfortable and well decorated and pool and gym were excellent. And the staff were the most gracious and helpful.

The garden is nice. The room is big. Lots of activities for the kids. The staff is friendly. The lobby is great looking.

There was mold in the shower. The TV system is old, the program are not kid friendly and the quality is poor. The breakfast is very average for an intercontinental.The pool needs repair, I stepped on quite a few tiles.It is a big fancy ish Chinese hotel, there is no international feeling like you would expect from an intercontinental. The restaurants are pricey, 158 for a kids menu ? even in Beijing I Ve never seen such prices.

This hotel is the last stop of my whole trip. The whole hotel has a strong intercontinental style, beautiful environment, comfortable mattresses, and warm service, especially Joy Wang in the front room of the hotel, which makes our trip full of laughter.

We arrived not feeling well and needed hot bath and room service so we could rest and recover. When our room did not have adequate hot water Mr Wang gave us a free room upgrade and Mr Max Li waived our first night's room service. Not only that but Mr Wang periodically checked in on us and gave us personal attention. Staying at IHG in Xishuangbanna ended up being the perfect place to recover quickly in peaceful gorgeous tropical tranquility. We are very grateful!

The room was absolutely gorgeous!The resort is big and beautiful.It's a peaceful place and you feel like you're in the middle of the jungle.Love the decor. The staff were very kind and accommodating, a special shout out to Joy.

Vegetarian food at the buffets was quite limited.The spa was not open.It's quite costly in the high season and very crowded as well.

Nice grounds, enjoyed the breakfast, room was spacious and well appointed. Staff were excellent. It’s a big property but it didn’t feel overcrowded

Outdoor pool is a little peculiar - not much space to sit around the pool, which is a shame as it’s a nice space.

The outdoor pool wasn’t clean and partially shut. Very little/no sunbathing areas and only about 8 sun beds in total! Not a place for sunbathing. Only 3 staff spoke English which was difficult (our issue for not speaking Chinese) for some of us to communicate however the manager was a fantastic support with that. Breakfast was average but the main issue was them posting their cock fighting event... animal cruelty should NOT happen, let alone have a hotel advertise it or host it!The Thai restaurant staff were clearly communicated with that one of our guests cannot eat any fish as she is very allergic however the put shrimp in her food and were confused as they said “but it is only small fish”. He allowed us late check out until 5 however we got locked out of our rooms at 12 and front desk were not overly helpful about this. We also got a phone call at 4pm and a staff member at the door at 4:45 to ask us to leave.We had a minor medical issue where we required bandages (not occurred on the property) and the first aid kit consisted of ethanol spray, a few plasters and some cotton swabs- for a huge hotel, I would expect them to be kitted up for if they had an injury on site.

Nice pool, staff are very accommodating and helpful. Beds are very soft and comfortable. The bathtub is nice. The porch is very large and comfortable.

Service, food quality in the all day dining & dai restaurants. In general, it’s no value for money.

The resort is huge and has multiple pools and facilities. Big enoug to walk around.

This is is rather extensive. I asked for a blanket as the room was cold, it took them 45 minutes to deliver it. The next day I asked about why the room isn't getting warm, they said the rooms cannot air system cannot produce heat. I then asked for a heater, the reception asked if I would like a pillow to help the cold. How can a pillow ever heat me up? After some haggling, they brought be a portable heater which smelled like cigarette when it was turned on. The restaurant that mentions all-day dining took over 1.5 hours to make us 7 plates of a club sandwich. The seating area for breakfast in the morning has dirty tables and floors plus in the corner, it smells like garbage or someone that has puked. The waitress apologized as she said the night prior was a party. I was like, you don't clean afterward or before the breakfast room starts? Incredibly run down hotel that completely drags down the name of Intercontinental. It was a total disgrace of how I had one bad experience after another.

Overall Wow, would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great room, big bath tub, overall just perfect for us.

On one day we went a little late for breakfast and staff were not really refilling drink or replacing food. The next day someone must have said something because they were on the ball. Only this one very minor issue.

It is a very beautiful hotel. The room was large, luxurious and stylish I was treated so kindly and made to feel very special from the attention received. The staff is more than happy to serve you, especially Ms. Elina Wang with great passion and considerate arrangements.
