Monsoon Bassac Hotel

I thought the room was great and the staff were friendly.

I thought the hotel was a bit far from the vibey part of town. However, the vibrant Riverside and bar areas are just a $2/3 tuk tuk ride away.

The reception staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel is clean and well maintained

Extractor fan in the bathroom was out of order, and one chair on the balcony was broken.

The breakfast was good, combining a la carte with buffet. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful.

The room was very nice. Comfortable bed. Very nice bathtub in the bathroom. A large balcony with a nice view of the neighborhood. And the neighborhood is great, it's super easy to walk to many places from here.

There was a bit of a smell in the bathroom sometimes, but that wasn't a big problem.

Location

No hot water in shower, staff is in need or training or re-training. Breakfast is poor.

the property was good, the staff is really helpful. i have a problem with the hairdryer and boiler, they come to check and change for us? i ask them where is the printing house, they offer me to print my document in receptionist! very helpful

Cheap hotel in a good location.

Rooms are nowhere near as nice as in the pictures. I thought that I was getting a good deal but it is no better than any other hotels in Phnom Penh at $30/night. Room had a weird smell (which they tried to cover with a scented candle). It was outdated and in need of refurbishment. Bed creaked and snapped at any movement. But at that price range what can you expect?

Close proximity to The killing fields and also street 308

On arrival front desk staff not helpful. Light switch broken, kettle stand broken, sheet ripped, shower gel dispenser not working.

10 Min walk to Nagga World casino ,and great little coffee shop connected with hotel.

At the end of the street was an amazing street full of eateries, definitely a great place to eat out all types of foods.

Place was cute. Furniture and fixtures all cute. Especially the bath tub.

Not able to fix the shower nozzle to spray water from above my head and allow the water to flow into the bath tub.

Great hotel, great location and they serve an amazing Pho soup at the restaurant downstairs

Can be a bit loud in the morning because of construction around the area but that's not the hotels fault

No service to speak of, no wifi password given on checkin, door was broken had to return to reception and back again before checkin

The hotel is clean, modern and good location. But the elevator don't work and they put me on the level 4.

The food is great. The decoration in the room is beautiful and organized.

The cleanliness is bad. I don't think they cleaned the room or changed the bedsheet and pillowcase for me before I checked in.

I love the decor of the hotel. I love the bar and outside area on a corner outside. Perfect spot to enjoy whatever meal and drinks and watch busy daily life outside. I looove their Pho. It’s a must try for sure!And it’s walking distance (2 minutes!!!) to wonderful very charming Bassac Lane!Can strongly recommend!

Location has many conveniences within a short walk: Aeon mall, bank atms, haircut, massage, street food, **Bassac Lane** with its many restaurants and bars (regular bars for locals and expats—not girl bars for sexual stuff), parks, pharmacy, etc. Comfortable enough for the price. Good value overall.

Low season (Rainy August), some services aren't operating. Things were quiet at the pool bar, etc. I'm sure that if you book in high season (October onward), things will be in full swing.

Nice hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Location is convenient and close to Bassac Lane which has all kinds of food and entertainment for travelers. Also great to have a dip in the rooftop pool. Will definitely stay here again.

Have to say the best hotel I have stayed at during my long Cambodian holiday. The room was gorgeous, large, spacious, and had a great balcony, the view was private. The bed was comfortable. The air con worked well. The bathroom was great with toiletries and towels provided. Fridge and kettle all there. Somewhere to put your clothes or hang them. Excellent location, right next to Bassac Street! I really enjoyed it and wished I had booked more nights. I didn't have breakfast as I went to another place so cannot review.

The noise from the outside (balcony) on top of the busy road - quite noisy at night.
