    • The breakfast was certainly better than a comparable continental type breakfast in the U.S. The location made walking to a lot of things very simple. The staff was polite, courteous, and prompt with service.
    • Great location. Warm and friendly staff with a shoutout to Madeline in Reception. She quickly addressed our every need with a smile.
    • Location The pool

    Cons -

    • The A/C in the rooms had trouble cooling the room. We were never able to get it much below 23 C (low-mid 70's F). That was really our only complaint, at night we like it a bit cooler than that for sleeping.
    • No view in the lower floor rooms
    • No furniture on the balcony.Pool needed cleaning.

The hotel was a little dated and needed a good clean, but it was in a good location. The room had a balcony but no furniture on the balcony so couldn't sit out there. Breakfast was included and was ok. Pool needed cleaning. Didn't really want to swim in it. I thought it was a little overpriced but I expect that may be due to the location.

No furniture on the balcony.Pool needed cleaning.

We got the deluxe room and I think we will do that in the future. Great value for money. The views are stunning. The Royal Palce and National Museum. The room very spacious. Bathroom clean. It might need some cosmetic updates but totally clean and really big! Breakfast sufficient for Asian and European tastes. Especially omlet and soup stations.

Excellent location next to the palace and museum, as well as the river promenade. Staff were friendly. Sky pool and bar overlooking the river were a wonderful addition for winding down after a hot day exploring the city. Nice little shop right next to the lobby.

Breakfast was good but could have a larger variety for this level of hotel. Old building but fairly well maintained.

From pool location, nice views of area, including palace grounds and river.

No view from room - only adjacent metal rooftops. Food stuck to telephone handset. More attention to overall cleanliness of room is needed. Room's safe was a complicated series of steps to use so we didn't use it.

Nice view from pool, breakfast deck, and some rooms. Delux room was spacious, although balcony too small to sit on.

Reception staff made mistakes and were slow No lift access to breakfast area and pool; stairs required. Hotel showing its age

Great location near the palace and the river. Nice facilities and helpful staff.

Breakfast was fine, but there could have been more fruit and more options. Also, they seemed to be a bit understaffed in the restaurant.

The nicest place I have stayed in Cambodia, and yet it still felt homey and down to earth. Location is really good, so close to the river walk and Royal Palace and Museum. Buffet breakfast had lots of options. The elevator made getting in and out easier. Nice shop inside for Cambodian crafts. Nice large lobby for group gathering.

I ordered a car to the airport. When it didn't arrive on time, I was told it would it would be another half hour, I tried to get a refund since I had already paid. I was told she would have to ask the manager. I was in a hurry so I got a Grab ride to the airport.

Seemingly nice property…great bar and happy hour.

Wasn’t really clean. Staff had difficulty communicating.

Great location with overlooking views of the riverside and the Royal Palace especially from the pool on the rooftop. Really good room rates with a decent buffet breakfast.

the initial room given to us wasn't facing the royal palace side so we asked if they could transfer us to one that is, which they did so, although the pillows in that new room didn't seem to smell good, so we also just requested them to be changed into a different set of pillows that night. Not sure if the cases weren't dried properly or something.

Very nice decor, chill Hotel in the centre of Phnom Penh. Great location. Rooms are very nice and comfy beds.

We arrived while it was raining, soaking wet. Nobody greeted us asked if we need help or anything. Even when we approached the reception all we got was a "Do you have your passport?". From the staff from breakfast area to reception all we got was blank faces. In addition the shower head is broken and no hot water. The breakfast was simple but the cutlery could do with renewing. The coffee pot looked like it has been there since the start. The free water tasted like tapwater.

Very good location. Loved the pool and the view from there. Enjoyed breakfast each morning.

We stayed for 6 nights at the Frangipani Royal Palace hotel, and we had a wonderful time. The staff are amazing - they hire underprivileged people and train them up in hospitality, which results in wonderful service, as well as employment opportunities they may not otherwise have had.The hotel driver picked us up from the airport, and brought us easily and safely to the hotel. Our room was amazing - we had the deluxe king room on the 7th floor which had a full on view of the royal palace, as well as a side view of the river. The room was super comfy, big comfortable bed, little seating area by the window with a small table and 2 comfy chairs, and a big bathroom with a bathtub. The room has a very small balcony - so if a balcony is important for you, I would recommend to take the deluxe king room as that balcony is bigger, and has a hot tub. For us we were content to open up the windows, and sit looking out over the palace,We had breakfast included, and it was really quite good. Lots of choice on the rooftop buffet, with egg station, fresh fruit, toast/pastries, hot items, soup station, tea coffee, juice etc. Everything was nicely presented and very clean. We loved the rooftop pool and bar area - great views out over the river, great cocktails and the staff were just lovely. The pool is small but was never busy or crowded. We enjoyed cooling off after some hot days around the city.We loved our stay here, and would definitely choose to stay here again if we return to PP.

There was nothing to not like, we loved everything about it

The lobby and reception desk is really nice. The hotel looks great from the outside. The bed is comfortable with plenty of pillows. The shower has a strong pressure (which I like). The breakfast had plenty of options, from western to Khmer food. The omelette station was my favourite. The staff are very friendly and polite and quick to follow-up when needed.

The swimming pool and "sky bar" can use some renovation. It looks like it wasn't renovated in 20 years.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They always greet you with a smile. Lovely foyer and gift shop. The room was comfortable (Great beds - just enough balance between firmness and softness) and great pillows. Enough space and ample wardrobe storage. We had a balcony overlooking the main street and the palace. Lovely high trees outside offering some cool shade over the balcony. Although the staff at breakfast were always lovely - after 14 nights the breakfast became quite predictable and boring. Often, fruit was not replenished fast enough, and not enough variety in breads. It would be great to offer some more breads (sourdough or wholemeal). Egg station cooks always dished up a great omelet, but fried eggs precooked sitting around so often cold. The hotel is looking a bit tired, so it probably needs a bit of a facelift, but as a budget hotel it is still lovely. I will definitely be staying again when I return.

The breakfast buffet was great and the pool area was very inviting. The staff were also very friendly.

The floor in my room was lifting so I kept catching my feet in the edges of the 'tiles'

Room adequate, pool good, breakfast good.Staff friendly.

The price for a $0.89 beer To be charged $4.00 is total bullshit. $2.00 ok reasonable. The happy hour draught at $1.25 was good. Therefore I did not drink in the bar before 5 pm. Don’t like getting ripped of! The restaurant food was expensive.
