Pros +
- The hotel is on a quiet but central side street, which I found ideal. The house and courtyard are old, full of character and beautifully restored. The staff are friendly and very helpful. A gem of a place.
- The room was like a wooden hut and I loved it
- The location and the property are beautiful. It definitely helps to immerse in the historical heritage of the town. Staff is super nice and the breakfast was very good. Highly recommended. We felt spoiled.
Cons -
- Even though the rent was lower than in the area, it was still high.
- - the toilet in our bathroom was not attached properly to the floor so it was moving while beig used; the lid did not open properly so it rested on the back of the person using the toilet- we did not received the invoice although we asked for it before we paid; afterwards we were informed that we would have received the invoice if we have paid with cash
- upon arrival we learned that they did not have our reservation. they found us an equally good place at another nearby hotel though

The hotel is in a really beautiful building, very close (few minutes walking distance) to the center of Amasya. Our room was very nice, clean with unique style and beautiful details.

Staff is very helpful and kind. it has good location. Breakfast is fresh an delicious. The property like pets
Nice, good location, & good breakfast.
Should warn about dark alley access & narrow street parking. Left outdoor & hallway lights on all night which made it difficult to sleep between calls to prayer. Curtains a little narrow so one could see into our room from the front porch entry. Toilet seat kept falling so I finally just taped it up for our stay.
Beautifully renovated Konak with all the amenities necessary. Centrally located in walking distance from shops, restaurants, tourist attractions. Lovely private courtyard. Very friendly and helpful staff. Gülşah and Batuhan were great hosts and served us great Turkish breakfasts. Batuhan’s English was very good.
I booked in this property to stay for one night. When I arrived there they sent me to another hotel! They were speaking only turkish and I didn’t understand why they moved us to another hotel without even asking us before or give us the chance to approve it ahead of time!
Great friendly staff, allowed to stay with pets, good central location, breakfast included.
No soundproof at all, you can hear everything from neighbours. Also, if someone smokes it get to your room through the door even when windows are closed.
Traditional building and rooms. Good breakfast. Very good location to visit old town of Amasia. Big bathroom. We visited Manti Evi restaurant nearby, VERY GOOD manties are available there, try it!
The lady welcomed us didn't speak at all English... there is no private parking, have to park the car on the street...if there is free spot at all...
The room is big, clean, and well decorated; the bed is comfortable; the bathroom functions well; the host is super welcoming and helpful, making us feel like at home; the breakfast is great; and the hotel is well located in a quiet neighborhood while being very close to tourist attractions. We especially enjoyed the beautiful garden, playing with the cute cats and dogs of the hotel, and having Turkish tea and nice discussions with the host and the locals in the night. We would highly recommend it!
We didn’t figure out how to have shower in the bathroom, but it was not a big issue
Beautifully renovated 200-year-old house, in quiet, centrally-located street, not far from the river, with view of the castle from the window. Pleasant courtyard, where we had breakfast the first day; the second day we had breakfast inside in large, comfortable kitchen/dining room. Our room was spacious, with plenty of storage for a short stay. Bedside tables on both sides of bed. Shelves in bathroom and especially in shower, for soap, shampoo etc. Coffee/tea-making facilities and fridge. Hosts were pleasant but communication was difficult as they didn’t speak English.
Water leaked from shower onto bathroom floor. No bedside lamps or light switches. Wooden bed frame stuck out from under mattress, so we banged our legs on it. Breakfast was late the first morning. People talking loudly in courtyard the second night prevented us from getting to sleep.
a wonderful small Konak very well placed close to everything needed to be seen. wonderfully friendly and attentive staff, clean and tidy. great to talk to owners about the area and food and other interesting things. great breakfast. felt very relaxed and comfortable with the best bed so far!
The rooms were very comfortable Good breakfast Nice Host. Location wasn’t on the Main Street but it was very close and it was a quiet neighborhood
We booked three rooms but one of us was put up in a neighboring hotel which wasn’t as nice. we felt it was misleading.
The place was clean, wifi, fridge, bathroom ok.
It is on third week in Turkey, and the breakfast served here had the poorest selection so far and the portions were also wery small. The lady in the kitchen was nice. I recommend the owner to serve real Turkish breakfast.
The room at the Uluhan was very large and the breakfast was fine.
This property failed to honor our booking.com reservation. We were told by the manager that booking.com no longer operated in Turkey and that all four of her units were occupied, making it necessary for her to locate a different property for us. Miracle of miracles she had a little binder showing pictures of a "similar property" not far away, the Ulutan Otel. We were directed to the Uluhan and offered lodging for the night. Unfortunately the Uluhan is located right next door to a nightclub pumping out thumping, loud music until midnight. We called the reception and got a "we'll see what we can do" response. The next morning management confirmed that Melekle Konak and Ulutan are all owned by the same large family. It is evidently a racket, pulling unsuspecting booking.com guests into staying at the Uluhan so they can "enjoy" the loud sounds emanating from the nightclub next door.
Close to the centre, clean and homy. The rooms were comfortable, the patio was great for relaxing and the staff, specially the owner, were very nice and helpful. Good value, I really recommend it.
Location, clean, quiet, senior friendly
This is a beautiful old house with very nice and big rooms. Everything was spotless clean, wifi worked very well, breakfast was great, and we could even use the washing machine in the breakfast room. It is true that the immediate surroundings are not as beautiful, but you are at the river and in the old town in no time by foot, so this isn't really a problem.
Nothing major, just be prepared that communication will be difficult if you don't speak any Turkish. Parking your car might also be a bit of a challenge.
