Pros +
- Great value for the money, a family friendly all inclusive stay, affordable with a nice beach right in front of the hotel and ok food. Ideal for families with small kids. Usually there is space in the restaurant and food is quite diverse with a good schedule.
- Ok overall
- Location is nice and the stuff is super friendly and helpful - food is good.
Cons -
- Nothing big but some suggestions for improvement:Room floors were not cleaned thoroughly even though we asked for an extra cleaning, as we have a small toddler crawling on the floor.Shower space in our room was very narrow and protective glass covers only a tiny portion of it so after every shower the floor got very wet.The grilled food was sometimes under cooked.
- The room we received was at ground floor right next to the restaurant terrace. There was constant noise from the chairs and we had no privacy in the room as the terrace was opening straight in front of the tables where people were eating and drinking so we were forced to stay with the curtains closed even if we payed for a sea view room.
- The bathroom in our room was quite smelly, seemed to be a drainage issue - but nothing that can't be fixed.@Royal Bay Resort - please take care of that bathroom - room 2218.

the food and the view
the ac was leaking water, the rooms were not cleaned everyday
The hotel is right on the beach and the view from the sea view rooms is incredible. The food was ok. The sweets are niceThe view is the best! The golf is very nice for children and people who like to be lazy in the water
The drinks were not good and the fact that you had to pay for something ok was a big minus for an all inclusive... the coffee is awful unfortunately... The golf is quite small and that's not amazing if you wish to swimThe beach is awfully small and crowded... the sunbeds are reserved from the day before and no one does anything about this!
The location has great potential. Unfortunately, it's not quite fair managed.
The staff barely speaks English. Sunbeds policy is a joke. You can barely find one because guests "reserve" overnight with towels and kids toys without any actions taken by the management. The sand is full of cigarettes and plastic glasess. The cleaning is minimum both on the beache and rooms... There are two swimming pools, but one is useless, never cleaned, and unsafe.
Everything was good. Special thanks to miss Raya, who took care of cleanliness.
Paid parking.
The view was beautiful.Well-maintained grass and a fairly large outdoor area.Nicely arranged beach bar.Food was quite varied.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness did not meet our expectations. The sofa in the living room was worn and stained, and the room overall did not seem thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. Traveling with a 1-year-old, we felt the need to clean the floors ourselves, as there was quite a lot of sand and hair. The bathroom (shower cabin and toilet) could have been cleaner. The beach is rather small, and parking is available only for a fee.
The food at the restaurant
Small room, poor amenities, not suitable for a 4 star
The service was perfect.
The fact that we never found free sunbeds. They were all reserved from 6 a.m.- but there were not people on them. Just towels.
The staff, the food, the beach.
Nothing important.
We recently had a fantastic stay at Royal Bay and wanted to share our positive experience. One common concern we'd heard was about the food, but we found it to be more than sufficient. While not overly excessive, there was a great variety of dishes to choose from at every meal, ensuring there was always something delicious for everyone. The drinks are standard for an all-inclusive, but the option to upgrade to premium brands for as little as €3 a glass was a nice touch if you wanted something a bit more special. The beach bar is truly excellent, and we have to give a special shout-out to Ivan – he's incredibly friendly and skilled! The same goes for Cristina, who serves at the bar next to the restaurant; her service was equally outstanding. We'd also read reviews mentioning water splashing into food from the pool tables, but we're happy to report this is no longer an issue. During meal times, access to the pool is restricted, which completely resolves this concern. The beach itself is wonderful. The lifeguards are friendly, and while it's true that some sunbeds are reserved from the day before, this mostly applies to the very first rows near the water. We found plenty of available sunbeds to comfortably accommodate all hotel guests, so there's no need to worry about not finding a spot. Finally, a truly important and commendable aspect of Royal Bay is the on-site medical office and doctor. This provides immense peace of mind and is a valuable amenity that sets this hotel apart.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Royal Bay and would highly recommend it!
One minor point was the parking fee, which felt a bit high. However, the parking area itself was large and had plenty of space, so finding a spot was never an issue.
Food
Pillows, matress, beach(too llittle), dirty water
Great location, good food, friendly staff.
There are two small private beaches near the hotel, free of charge, with quick access to the bar.Private parking for extra cost. The food is more than acceptable at this prices. The staff is helpful.
Small beach, first come first served. Small playground. My room had a problem with the bed and I had to resolve it myself after 2 days of complains and nothing done.I also had some trouble at the reception; my feeling was that they were lying to me as excuses.
The location is great, right on the seaside, our room had sea-view and it was lovely in the morning especially. Easy access to the beach.
- room was very dirty, dust everywhere and the bathroom had the worst smell (we had to keep the bathroom door closed to even be able to sleep)- food was mediocre, of very small variety and almost the same every day, hard to find anything for kids- drinks were the worst, almost nothing to drink. Beer was terrible, cocktails undrinkable. Only wine was ok, but in low supply and you could only get it at certain hours. - pool has no sunbeds, so you can only get in and out of the pool and be on your way. - beach was great, the problem is 90% of the sunbeds were continuously "occupied". Same people on the same sunbeds for the entire week, as all sunbeds were "reserved" night and day by personal belongings.
Room, balcony, view, nice hotel staff
Bathroom
The food was very goodThe beach needs more cleaning and reparations.
That the water of the sea was dirty
Great selection of food, beach access, nice room
We stayed in both buildings, we had 1 AC in our room and 2 AC in the apartment. All 3 were absolutely filled with black mold, the air was blowing right through that.
It's our second stay at Royal Bay. Last time was in 2022. We were happy to see that a lot of things are improved. The food was better, the children playgrounds were better, the services were better.
The bathroom was kind of small and sometimes there was a bad smell from the drain (the room was on the ground floor)
