Big BamBoo Beach Resort Sipalay

The location was perfect. It¿s right on the beach and great for watching the sunset.

The room was damp and dirty and had cobwebs that needed cleaning. Also, no wifi in the room and no service and the resort attempted to make us use the piso pay wifi even though we were guests there and were reluctant to share the free wifi password.

Soooo bad!

Property owner the Arab old man was rude. I told him about my concerns and complain about his property and he told me he don't care. I asked if we could refund the remaining night bcoz we are not happy staying in his resort. The owner said he don't care and we can leave if we want but he will not give any refund. He was cursing me and my brother and he even threatened us that he has a gun. Police and baranggay officials came. The owner said he will refund 100% of my payment but it ended up giving us 10,000 peaos only. I sent a report to booking.com CS. Please see the other details. Thank you

This has been my go-to resort whenever I visit Sipalay.We received a warm welcome from the staff—they were great and made sure all our needs were taken care of. The food was excellent, and both the restaurant and the beachfront were beautiful. There were also fun activities like beach volleyball and kayaking. Our room was satisfactory for the price, and the parking space was very convenient.

not sure if there was a power generator available but none of the fans/aircon were working during the early morning power outage

The amenities of the place were superb. The rooms were neat and overall comfortable, the restobar was cozy, and the beachfront was the highlight. Everything about Big Bamboo allows to you feel in contact with nature during your stay. Furthermore, the staff were really friendly and hospitable as well as the owner himself. I will definitely come back!

Honestly, I can't name anything I didn't like about the place. My family and I enjoyed our stay.

This is one of my favorite places now best time very nice place and nice people and good food very relaxing beautiful beaches nice sand i never wanted to leave this place everyone here is like a big family this is truly paradise I can't ask for a better time a lot of fun things to do here if you like to go on a boat an see shipwreck or caves so much fun here I'm planning on coming back again to stay as much as I can good place for family an friends or to make new friends if you are alone they will make you feel at home this is my new favorite place in the Philippines i definitely recommend coming here to everyone

Right on the Sugar beach, nice spacious cottages with A/C and the most comfortable beds.

The common space could be a bit updated, food could be better. We really found annoying the wifi, which keeps cutting off and you have to pay for it. We also found annoying the car park fee. It should be included.

Accommodating staff; beach front location. Also, the owner was so kind to offer us an additional accommodation at a discounted price when we informed him that we forgot to book a room for our driver.

Dinner was good, but it looks like the kitchen was understaffed. It took a while for dinner to be served.

Very friendly and accommodating host/staff, tasty fresh food and beautiful beach ,me and the girlfriend had a blast.kudos to mo and the staff for hosting us!

Won't be back for sure

Very disappointing - we travelled far and needed to rest when arriving but the place is inundated with mosquitos and none of my kids can sleep. We end up not sleeping on our own bedroom as very uncomfortable - we had to sleep on the other room which is a little, better and newer.

Very Friendly and accommodating staff. Helped us get what we needed. Had several recreational activities around the resort such as pool table, darts and volleyball.

Close to the beach.

It took super long time to eat our meal each time. Usually, one hour wait after ordered, in terrible case, more than one and half hour waiting.

Everything was exceptional, the room, the food, both the hot/cold drinks, the beach, the staff and of course the owner! No complaints whatsoever, we really enjoyed our stay there and will definitely return soon.You will not be disappointed, a great resort!

Amenities like billiard, bar and rest, no karaoke where Filipinos always fond of, but staff were very nice though.

Quiet cozy place right on Sugar Beach. Friendly staff. Very tasty food and pleasant prices.

Wifi is paid (but only 50 pesos per day) and the air conditioning is a bit noisy, but these are such small things compared to the many pluses.

Rooms and service very average. What saves this from a lower rating is the excellent food and reasonably priced food. Sugar Beach is hard to get to and nothing special.

Located right at a beautiful beach. Very tasty food, friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely choose this place again.

The cleaning around the lounge chair area could be improved. New cushions would be nice.
