The staff, the cleanliness, the pool and the food!

The room did not have a kettle.

Booked family rooms with a garden view; however, we received regular family rooms with three beds. It was okay, but it would be better if we had gotten the booked ones.

It was very closer to the Kiri Wehera (Stupa), Kataragama Sacred Bo Tree and Murugan temple. Very freindly and kind staff. Food was great and fresh. Room spaciase for four people and good qulity beds.

Qaulity level of toilet accessories were very bad. Water was not coming from the tap fixed to the wash basin. Shower is half broken. slight bad smell was coming. Toilets definitly needs huge improvment.

The hotel was very peaceful and surrounded by greenery. The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. The location was also great—close to the Kataragama.

I booked a family room for my stay, but unfortunately, the management gave us a triple room instead. When I asked about it, they said all family rooms were full and that they assign rooms based on the number of guests, not based on what was actually booked.They did not consider or respect our specific booking request, which was disappointing. It felt unfair that our reservation was changed without consulting us, especially after planning in advance.The room itself was clean and okay, but the way the situation was handled left a negative impression. I hope the management improves communication and honours room bookings as per customer selection in the future.

Everything was good actually.

The location being near to the main pilgrimage site and the town was perfect for us to do the rituals in time. There is a big pool facility which is well maintained and it’s mostly been cleaned by the staff. The staff is always around and about to ask for anything and they respond immediately and lot of generosity is shown. Ample parking space

The room I got had a bad AC but I understand that it couldn’t be fixed at once. The cooling strength was low but manageable.

Staff was very friendly. Food was very good and fairly priced.

No tea making facility. TV reception was very poor.

Cleaningnes was very poor . Specially toilets and bathrooms. Food pricess also not value for money .

Their food was amazing. It's quite expressive. But It worth. Also Swimming Pool was amazing also. I never tried like that swimming pool in Kataragama. So I think as the best experience Sunflower Hotel is the best as a budget friendly hotel. Also I can't end this without mention the staff. Staff is very friendly. Reception boys, Restaurant Waiters, Security guy as a brothers to us.

According to my experience they should give more attention to their cleaning. Their cleaning not bad. But they should improve this. Also the hotel entertainment must improve. My room TV didn't get much signal to show clear visuals from it. They said that their TVs are cable TV. But they can repair it. The last thing is they should improve their Wi-Fi facility. When we entered the hotel area. Our phone hadn't much signal strength. Also they have Wi-Fi. But only for the limited area. So I think they can extend their Wi-Fi facility all over the hotel area.

their food is excellent. I felt like I was enjoying my grandmas diecious home made food after along time. We are so thankful for making us feel at home. we were able to relax and truly we ate like nothing the food was so comforting, their chef is an asset to the hotel. Thank you for all the staff at Hotel Sunflower!

they need to renovate the washrooms.

Nice and inviting people.

There was no WiFi. The bed sheets look like they haven’t been cleaned. Due to a lot of power outlets in the room, you can’t use all the power outlets or it could cause a power cut. Which was an inconvenience when it came to charging devices.

Rooms and staff.. Dinner and Breakfast were good..

Could have kept a separate area for smoking and drinking instead of having in the common hall where rooms are there. No wifi facility to rooms.
