The place is close enough from Dambulla, Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa, while beeing in the middle of beautiful and calm rural area, which makes it a perfect place to be while exploring the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka! The room is equipped with a good AC system, and a moskito net. You have a beautiful view from the terrace, from which you can see a lot of birds! Moreover, Ruwan is a perfect host, he is very friendly, speaks very good English and has a lot to share! He provided us with delicious and affordable sri lankan food and will make your life easy and unforgettable while staying in his place!
The owner is very friendly and receptive. The room is very clean, modern and comfortable. We only stayed one night and left with the desire to stay more... it is very peaceful, surrounded by nature and calming energy. We even had a tour though the agriculture area and Ruwan explained about the plantation.
Ridge Boundary View was BY FAR the highlight of our Sri Lanka tripI cant recommend it enough! This isnt just a stay; its an experience that everyone should have. Ruwan is the perfect hostwelcoming, attentive, and always going the extra mile to make your trip better. He gave us a fascinating tour of the property, where they grow over 20 types of food, from rice and jackfruit to coconut and even breadfruit (which I had never heard of before!). Walking through the lush farm, touching and smelling the fresh ingredients, and listening to Ruwans hilarious stories made it unforgettable. Every meal was a farm-to-table feast, prepared with love by Ruwans family. From homemade cinnamon tea to an incredible spread of Sri Lankan dishes, everything was fresh and bursting with flavor. Each meal came with an explanation of its ingredients and preparation, giving us a deep appreciation for Sri Lankan cuisineso much so that throughout the rest of our trip, wed try dishes and say, Its good, but not as good as Ruwans! The location is breathtaking. Watching the sunrise over the Knuckles Mountains right from our bed was pure magic, followed by the best breakfasts we had in Sri Lanka. Ruwan also made our trip seamless, organizing everything from transport to an unforgettable safari, where we saw over 20 elephants up close! He even helped us navigate local buses, making what could have been a hassle into a fun adventure. Dambulla has plenty to see/do, with elephant safaris, the amazing Sigiriya Rock, Cave Temple, or just reading a book on the balcony and enjoying the view. Even after we left, Ruwan checked in to make sure we arrived safely at our next stop. Hes not just a hosthes a genuinely kind and hilarious person who made our trip truly special. If youre visiting Sri Lanka, do yourself a favor and stay here. You wont regret it!
