- We stayed in January. So it was off,off season. It’s a beautiful hotel very central in Old Town. Close to a modern shopping area, ferry port, and taxi stand. Breakfast was nice. The staff were very nice even when it was just us staying in the hotel. Would love to stay here again maybe in March or April to see the courtyard in full bloom.
- The staff were amazing, it was my birthday and they were so helpful and kind to me! The atmosphere was exquisite and very much a lovely property! Anastasia was so helpful and thoughtful she is a great employee that you guys have ☺️
- Fantastic place in a central location in the old town. Host service is very good. I recommend it, you won't regret it.
Cons -
- Door handle broken was fixed immediately Very dark bathrooms not enough lighting , we put the lamps in there.Couldn’t get the lights so turn on in kitchen, but we ate out anyways
- The overall hotel is in need to some maintenance. It looks like it was thoroughly revamped several years ago but hasn't been maintained since. Basic stuff like light switches not working (couldn't turn bathroom light off), doors difficult to close and lock, cupboard doors hanging, external woodwork varnish blistered and in need of some attention, some external wooden fixtures decayed to expose screws and plant pots full of water which is a breeding ground for mosquito. Its a real shame but the overall experience is undermined for the want of a bit of routine upkeep.
- We stayed at a standard double room but we weren’t aware that this was in a separate building nearby. Very disappointed. The entry to that building had a musty, unpleasant smell and although they were coffee/tea facilities didn’t have either.

We had a wonderful stay at Avalon Boutique Hotel, a truly unique and charming property nestled right in the heart of the medieval Old Town of Rhodes. Despite being just steps away from the vibrant buzz of the town’s narrow cobbled streets, the hotel offers an oasis of calm and serenity — it’s quite remarkable how peaceful it is once you step inside the beautiful stone courtyard. We stayed in the Anatoli Suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. A real highlight was our private terrace with a couple of sun loungers — perfect for relaxing in privacy. The bed was very comfortable, the linens spotless, and the bathroom (fitted with multi-jet shower features) was clean and well-equipped with towels and toiletries.Thenia, who greeted us upon arrival, was incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful — always with a genuine smile. Throughout our stay, she and another lovely staff member (whose name I regret not getting) were both attentive and welcoming, adding a personal touch that made our stay all the more special.Breakfast was another highlight — served in a beautiful stone patio surrounded by greenery, accompanied by the gentle sounds of a water fountain and birdsong. A peaceful and refreshing way to start the day.Avalon Boutique Hotel is a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. The attention to detail and the kindness of the staff made our stay memorable. We’ll definitely return at the first opportunity. A heartfelt thank you to Thenia and the whole team for such a lovely experience.
Excellent Location. Lovely food. Hosts very nice. Authentic Greek food lovely. Perfect location for Rhodes town visit and quiet.
The hotel has a great location, making it easy to access nearby attractions, and the ambience is charming and well-designed. It’s a pleasant place to stay if you’re looking for a good loacation witin the old city center. However, the hosts could be more attentive and welcoming. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel very comfortable or appreciated as guests. Additionally, be prepared for a significant number of mosquitoes—bringing insect repellent is highly recommended.Overall, while the setting is appealing, a few adjustments could make the experience much better.
What a gem, staff were friendly, we stayed in the Villa was exactly what we needed.its located in old town which was perfect right near all the sites and great restaurants in walking distance We only had breakfast one day , but it was nice.Clean rooms , nice courtyard to sit in.Taxi driver called them advising we were coming from the airport and staff member met us on the outside of old town with a golf buggy and transported us and our luggage to our room
Door handle broken was fixed immediately Very dark bathrooms not enough lighting , we put the lamps in there.Couldn’t get the lights so turn on in kitchen, but we ate out anyways
This is an pleasant boutique hotel with nicely equipped rooms, decent breakfasts, helpful staff, a great ambience in the shady courtyard and a brilliant location in the old town close to the Grand Palace. Very quiet.

Really nice hotel in the old city just near the knights palace. Very comfortable room and a shady, relaxing courtyard perfect for a drink on a hot afternoon. All staff went out of their way to be helpful . Excellent breakfast and great recommendations from them for best restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.
Location, comfort and good service.
Not letting clear that they offered transfer from the port … and also not offering the transport to the port ..
Central, terrific location. Quiet , very pleasant attentive staff. Clean .
We loved our stay at Avalon. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Rhodes old town. The hotel is very peaceful with a beautiful courtyard. The room was very well appointed, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious and staff very kind. Would highly recommend it

The location The courtyard where breakfast is servedOur apartment
Location and quite
Property was old. Stairs up to room and handrail totally rotten. Hope you don’t fall. The bed was terrible in our room. Very old mattress. All towels in bathroom. Way old. Blinds to windows. Each one broken. No light in the windows. Shower stall was FILLED with black mold. I watched a very large centipede bug run across the floor. I would never stay here again. Plus, there were only 3 people at the most working there.
The location was amazing and the rooms were very authentic. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.
The bathrooms needed maintenance the shower was not working properly and generally the bathrooms needed a bit of an update
We have been many times. Fab location. Friendly staff. Lovely rooms. All round great service :)
We ended up being evacuated due to the fires so we’re grateful for having this hotel we were welcomed warmly and the hotel was sensational! We would always return
All was fantastic
