    Pros +

    • Its location. 150 metres from this rental property is a wonderful, quiet, delightful local family restaurant. We ate at the Acropolis Restaurant twice. Don?t miss it
    • The old stile and warm ambiance
    • A good location, close to Pergamon ancient city. It was an interesting old building, and could be made very nice, but it really needed some care and repairs, and a bit more effort. The bathroom smelt badly from poor plumbing, and on the morning we left the ceiling in the stairs/reception was dripping from a broken pipe. When we arrived the hotel was locked , with a phone number taped on the door. Our phones could not make calls in Turkey, so we had to ask a local cafe to make the call. Nothing was a disaster, just all a bit disappointing.

    Cons -

    • Never saw a property manager. By a fluke we arrived while a woman was sweeping the floor of the patio. She whipped out her cell phone and took a photo of our passports. This not an hotel it is a Air BNB type self managed rental
    • This hotel was impossible to find with my driving app. It is in a neighborhood of very narrow streets that are impossible to drive. A local man had to escort me on a scooter to find it. The parking was fabulous and unexpected. The facility was unattended at arrival. I had to make a call to have someone open it up. I had booked the largest room. It was not unexpectedly unclean. I was offered two other rooms that were less expensive, but no compensation for the change. It was hot. There is no AC, and no screen on the window. A restaurant next door was hosting a weeding so it was festively loud for several hours. The hotel has a great 9.3+ rating from before COVID, but this weekend it was not up to that standard.
    • No one was there to greet us. Bad parking. The bathroom has no privacy framed with sliding glass doors all noise and smell are in the room.

The hotel was recommended as a boutique hotel close to the Acropolis. It would have been easy to find if my driving app had come straight off the highway. I came the back way having visited a national museum archeology site.

Nice place, we really liked it, had everything we needed and it was very central. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was good, but its the same breakfast everywhere you go in turkey i guess.

    Parking may be an issue.

Hotel is in a very old house transformed. Is somehow a little bit odd, but I found it charming. Public parking place nearby.

Breakfast and the lady who was serving us she was perfect

Owner of the hotel didn’t come for check in process.

We've spent two nights in the unique atmosphere of the old town neighborhood, close to the important historical places. The always smiling and helpful staff made us feel homey and at ease in spite ofobvious language obstacles.

Both nights had a special treat of loud music from the restaurant next door until after midnight...

Our hosts were lovely and we enjoyed the traditional Turkish breakfast each morning. The building is older, but well maintained and had some lovely wood detailing.

The weather was exceptionally hot, causing the AC to struggle to keep up. That said, it was bearable.

We stayed 2 nights in April (April 29 - May 1) BUT....

PAYED DOUBLE!At home we saw that our credit card was charged 2 times the total amount (April 28 + April 29).We reported this to Booking.com and sent an email to Aristonicus ourselves, unfortunately until now, no reaction. So please Aristonicus, refund the amount that you owe is!

Good breakfast. Good environment for breakfast with friendly staff. The location is close to the cable car station. We walked there without difficulty though it is too expensive for us to take. It is good to call taxi to the Pergamon Ancient City as it is close from the hotel.

The hotel charged us more than 4 times than quoted. So we request Customer Service of Booking.com to follow up. Due to communication, I have not get back the money after 3 months. So I need to be more careful with the paying amount next time.

Good hotel for 1 night stay in Bergama, nicely decorated.Keep in mind there is no air conditioning in the rooms. It wasn't that bad for me even in June, I slept well, probably because of being tired. But adding AC would really improve overall experience of this place.

Breakfast is very modest compared to other places I've stayed in Turkey. Since floors and ceiling are wooden, noisy from the 2nd floor is quite noticeable

Location was good... Bed comfortable. Water hot.

Staff barely available.. Breakfast poor, not even close to advertised. Room in bad state of repair and decor.

A nice room in an beautiful old building. The staff was very helpful.

Everything, simply wonderful!!! The hotel is in a renovated old traditional house and everything is beautiful there. It's located in a very quite neighbourhood and only few minutes walk from the access to the archeological site. The center with many shops and restaurants is also just few minutes walk in the opposite direction. And one of the best things here is the traditional breakfast they serve in the hotel with different kinds of olives, different kinds of local cheese and much more. I have enjoyed it a lot here, thank you!!!

Nice rooms, outdoor place for breakfast.

Nobody speek English or some other languages and communication is almost impossible.

The building is charming, the location is excellent, with plenty of parking, and the breakfast was good.

Your enjoyment of this hotel may depend on your room. We were first taken to a charming, spacious room on the top floor but then told it was the wrong room. Our room was on the second floor with two windows: the reception area and the street. So, it was bright and noisy. The room was so small that the bed occupied nearly the entire space. It was against the wall and had a frame, so my husband had to climb over me. There was no room for luggage, so we had to leave them in the car; it's good I use compression cubes and could grab those and my toiletry bag. The bathroom smelled bad, and there were leaks and bugs. When a guest in another room flushed the toilet, the smell came into our room. An exposed sewer pipe leaked over the main stairwell.

Beautiful hotel from an 1881 converted seminary. The rooms are comfortable and clean in the historic setting. The location is great to both visit Pergamon and walk into the city for dinner. We did not stay for breakfast, however the hotel was kind enough to make us tea before we departed early in the morning.

    8DenzilPosted on: 9-23-2023

The building has a lot of character. It was calm at night. The location is a little outside the town but within walking distance of the basilica and restaurants (uphill on the way back). There is a car park near the hotel which was very welcome. The traditional Turkish breakfast served in the courtyard was excellent. I would rate the hotel as good value for money.

Compared to the photos, the property is a little tired.
