Tamaca Beach Resort

What I loved the most about this hotel was The location the staff the food the pool the fact that is located by the beach. Loved everything no complaints.

One thing only. The bed was to hard. I myself like softer kn mattresses.

They should have informed guests that their beach access was severely restricted and there would be late night sound checks due to a huge stage built for a Festival. Or, at the very least offered a discount for the inconvenience and lack of sleep. Too many vendors and men continually offering jet ski/banana boat rides. Too many stray dogs/unleashed dogs.

The location was great. In front of the beach with fewer people

The wifi did not work. They had two networks but none of them work. The bed and cabinets are neglected. Need to invest in maintenance.

Tamaca Beach Resort is well located, has a great environment and the staff are so nice

The location was excellent and fairly quiet compared to the rest of the city. Pool was exceptional and we loved being right on the beach. Also, the food was very good and the service was good as well

We had a little trouble communicating as we do not speak spanish but we managed and the staff tried hard to understand.

Double beds could be a little wider

Greedy and unreasonable policy in the hotel. I asked if a 3rd person could stay and they wanted to double the cost of the room. The pool has 1 amplified speaker, overly loud all day. so if you want to relax by the pool, it is NOT HAPPENING

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is nice, but there are definitely a lot of things to be fixed. Like the birds stealing from your plate at breakfast if you just turn your head, the slippery floor in the pool area, the heavy wind that blows your food off your plate at dinner. But the location - great. Pool and beach!

Loved the pool and the restaurant buffet. Our room had a wonderful view of the beach and sunset, quiet AC, very comfortable pillows and mattresses.

The beach is lovely but tons of action from vendors, couldn't relax. It was also quite a way from Santa Marta - and with our daily jungle tours we didn't actually get to see the city, were too tired afterwards.

NOT ONE sun umbrella at the pool site.THIS IS VERY POOR ! ! !The rooms are very badly isolated towards the street, therefore it was quite noisy.

The location, that was about it.

No coffee in the lobby. No coffee maker in the room. No microwave in the room. No microwave in the entire hotel either. When I asked to be able to heat something up I was told I was out of luck. No office center with computer and printer. I had no ability to print out emails or boarding passes. Much cheaper hotels have all of the things that I listed Tamaca does not have. The elevator was ridiculous. Slowest elevator I have ever experienced. As far as the breakfast it was worse than poor. Cold rice and beans, Cold Scrambled eggs. The breakfast sausage was awful. In fact I don't have much to say positive except the orange juice and the fruits were good. The small refrigerator was a joke. I would never eat anything that was stocked in the refrig even if I was starving. At least there a a bit of room for bee. The coffee was actually good but generally had to wait some time before anyone came around to serve it. I hope you really wanted an honest review. Honestly, I will never stay at Tamaca Beach Resort again.

Property needs updating

Super big open lobby space, beautiful pool, and excellent customer attention. I highly recommend this hotel. Me and my husband had a great time there.

I think the pictures must show the ambience.

Has a good location! Also the staff is very friendly and it’s neat to the dock in where you can take small ships to visit other beaches.

Rooms are okay, but due to the high cost of it, you would expect them to be better, seems like some of them are under reconstruction.Also, they offer the beach stands but those are not that close to the beach, you are put behind other stands, and they only allow you to have a maximum of 3 chairs in the stand.
