Hotel Nueva Granada

Very quite location but also easy walk to central historical district. Pool was lovely to cool off in the evening. Staff were very nice.

The locatio is not covinient: in one direction from the hotel. In other directions okay.

I am global traveler and Hotel.Nueva Granada was exceptional experience.Nice courtyard. Great room and showers. location perfect, in historic district but far enough away traffic and noise and quiet sleeping. The day and evening staff were attentive and provided good service.

Great service, location and accommodations for the value. We spent there two days with my kids and it was enough for us to rest after a beautiful and long day at the Tayrona park. It's very closed to the historic center. Breakfast was free and good for us with natural fruit juices.

The streets close to the hotel at night. There are homeless and some people drinking around but never had any issues. Don't walk alone only.

Safe, clean, great breakfast, helpful staff, good refreshments for sale, nice pool, the pets (bird, cat, dog) helpful staff. Good air conditioning

Room was dated and very modest decor. Could use some updating. But was comfortable and clean.

The room was very clean and there was a lot of space to store your things. It was a bit dark, but that is quite common in Colombia.The patio with the hammocks and the small pool was absolutely wonderful. The location was great, close to everything but quiet (the street outside the hotel was a bit dodgy at night though).Breakfast was better and bigger than in most other places here.The staff was fantastic and very helpful.

A really comfortable and clean hotel with great facilities and a lovely Colombian breakfast. The staff were really friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I was visiting for both work and leisure, so I woke up early anyway. It might not by the ideal place if you want a lie in - I was woken up to the sound of the swimming pool being refilled at 6:30 am on the Friday, and breakfast plates being set out at 5:30 on Saturday. Since all the rooms are just off the central patio, it's hard to avoid this noise. Anyway, breakfast is served 7-9am so if you want to sleep in you might miss it! Great for solo travellers, work travel, and couples looking to recharge in quiet surroundings.

The whole staff knew me by name and looked out for me with good advice and shared connections. Festive and fun.

The price is excellent for the location and high season. The host is very friendly. The inner yard is green and has a swimming pool. The rooms are decent. Breakfast is excellent. The place has the vibe of a hostel.

The place is located just a few min walk from the square and very tourist attractions. The room is basic but comfortable it has aircon and fan. The stuff was very helpful Did not use the pool

The room needs a big update, and the breakfast was OK.

Beautiful courtyard, delicious breakfast, very friendly staff. It was clean and well kept. We loved the plants, the pool, the friendly cats walking around, the big mango tree in the middle, many spots to lounge. We would definitely come back. It's near the market where you catch the mini-van for Tayrona Park or Minca. Don't miss the Museo de Oro while you're in Santa Marta.

The room was small and could use a bit of updating, it was hard to find an electrical outlet near the bed. We had to unplug the mini fridge.

Hotel was clean, it looks just the pics said it would.

Lots of noise from outside since the pool and dining area is the open and lots of mosquitoes.

Very close to the Bahiya beach and cento historico.Quiet place .

It was alright. They turn off AC while you are out in the city so when you return, room is hot Anyway small things.It's all good.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The bed was comfortable. The water pressure was great. The room was very clean. A quiet space. Slept well.The A/C and fans worked well. The breakfast was varied and flavorful.I enjoyed mornings with breakkfast in the garden courtyard.The pool water was crystal clear.The staff were helpful and happy.The hotel is close to restaraunts and the harbor.

The neighborhood was a little intimidating.

The ceiling fan was a bit noisy, but apart from that, a perfect stay

Quite a nice stay. Sweet and welcoming staff, who were quite good in English. Ok breakfast. Nice room and good Wifi. The bathroom has a good size and functionality, but needs a renovation. Overall, very good value for money.

A little noise in the evening/night (the scratching of an animal).

We enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent and the staff were most pleasant and helpful. It was the first accommodation in Colombia which provided a town map, going through everything for us to do. Highly recommend for this budget of accommodation. Drinks you could buy there were the same price as a shop.

Majestic colonial hotel with outstanding decoration, swimming pool, a beautiful small shrine, close by cafes and places of tourist interest, the Santa Marta beach 5 minutes walk, the delicious breakfast and wonderful staff.
