I booked here for the last day of Bali/Lombok 3 week trip for easy access to the airport next day. It was perfect for this. Comfortable, well organised, good service, great breakfast and close to airport with a regular 30 minute free shuttle service.
Good position if you like to be near the airport The lobby and the room is good for 4star hotel and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The staff are so friendly and very attentive. The hotel location is perfect, just far enough from the busyness of Kuta. An older demographic of hotel patrons so a lot quieter too.
Very friendly staff, close to the beach and handy amenities close-by.

Top Tips
- Book Kuta hotels 35-45 days prior to arrival to secure rates 18-25% lower than last-minute pricing. Rates typically rise during the June-August high season. Compare flexible and prepaid rates, and verify cancellation policies or advance loyalty discounts before reserving.
- Decline Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) when paying hotels onsite; paying in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) avoids 4-7% conversion markups. Confirm total charges and request a receipt in IDR at the front desk.
- Hotels north of Jalan Kartika Plaza average 40-60% lower nighttime noise levels (68-72 dB) than main club and traffic zones. Consider these properties for restful stays, especially for families or light sleepers, and note that higher floors may further reduce street-level noise.
- Verify in-room Wi-Fi speeds when planning remote work; Kuta hotels often offer 8-12 Mbps, and many limit speeds after 2 GB daily use. Opt for properties advertising coworking lounges or 50+ Mbps if connectivity is a priority, and consider using a LAN cable in business rooms where available.
- Expect a mandatory 21% added to quoted hotel rates, covering 10% government tax, 5% VAT, and 6% service. A quoted $15 USD rate totals about $18.15 USD (approx. 273,000 IDR) after fees. Review total charges at booking confirmation and at check-in.
- Using ATMs inside malls like Bali Galeria and Beachwalk Mall incurs a fee of 40,000 IDR (approx. $2.60 USD), saving 15,000-25,000 IDR (approx. $1-1.60 USD) compared to most hotel kiosks. For additional security, use ATMs during mall hours and check for tamper-proof machines indoors.
- Request accessible ground-floor rooms with step-free access in advance, as only about 30% of Kuta's mid-range hotels offer step-free or ramp entry and the rest have stairs-only access. If you need accessible bathrooms or visual alarms, confirm availability with the property.
- Do not drink tap water; 90% of gastrointestinal issues are linked to the local supply, and 12-15% of visitors report illness after brushing teeth with tap water. Use sealed bottled or filtered dispenser water for drinking and oral hygiene, and verify that bottled water is provided daily by your hotel.
- For bell staff at international hotel chains (Marriott, Accor, Aston), a tip of 50,000 IDR (approx. $3.30 USD) per bag is customary. Tipping is generally not expected in locally owned hotels; tipping housekeepers is optional but appreciated, and small cash denominations work best.
- Avoid stays during the 20-day Galungan and Kuningan festival cycle (next: June 12-22, 2025), when hotel rates surge 30-40% with 92% domestic occupancy. If visiting during this period, book early and prepare for larger crowds and festival events across Kuta.
- Select hotels with a Bintang 3+ rating and Sertifikat CHSE certification; 44% of Kuta’s 3-star+ hotels display this for verified hygiene. Look for the CHSE logo or request proof on arrival, and check recent guest reviews for cleanliness feedback.
- Limit air conditioning use from 10:00-15:00, as Kuta’s grid faces 2-4 hour outages on 20% of dry-season days (May-September). Verify if your hotel has a backup generator for uninterrupted comfort, and consider packing a portable fan or confirming in-room emergency lighting if you need consistent climate control.
