    Pros +

    • If you’re heading to an island off the coast of Uluwatu, this is the place to stay—skip Le Pirate. The waves out front are perfect for experienced surfers, giving you your own private break. The view is unbeatable, and the staff is warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in your safety, comfort, and overall experience. The food was excellent, and the team was incredibly helpful and quick to respond on WhatsApp, accommodating every request like family. Places and people like this are rare. While it’s rated as a 3-star resort, it exceeded our expectations and felt like a 5-star stay to us. We’ll be telling our friends and coming back next year. Don't think twice about booking this place for your vacation.
    • Fantastic location for views and surf. Food and coffee outstanding.
    • The salt water pool was great , view was good . Staff was good. We left a part of our luggage after checkout accidentally and they came all the way to yellow bridge to give it which really appreciated

    Cons -

    • Everything was excellent!
    • A bit isolated from Lembongan as it took a taxi, walk across bridge then another taxi to get there. A few things dropped off noticably when the owners departed to Australia. On the other hand when they were there the standards were very high.
    • The cleaning of the room was pathetic …my toddler unfortunately puked the first day after a bumpy boat ride and I rinsed the towels for them to remove when cleaning is done, weren’t removed till the last day…towels not replaced, bedsheets not changed if soiled…it is a basic hotel but even basic hotels should be mindful of these things…rest of the stay was decent , more so because of the people staying there…

Tthe owner was nice when we needed help and the staff very nice.

In general we didn't like it. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel. We paid more than 100 euros per night and not worth it.. in room : there were no lamps, just light bulbs ..very simple room , no chest of drawers, ..no towels for two days!!!! .never seen a hand towel either. Fridge rusty, no hair dryer, not even a glass in bathroom. No television of course

The views of the surfers riding humongous waves just off the deck was amazing! We had only one incredible sunset due to weather conditions but it was beautiful!Jay and Wayne are outstanding hosts! They went out of their way to insure that our anniversary trip there was so memorable! The Happy Anniversary message in flower petals in our bedroom was so sweet!

Climbing the stairs from upstairs bedroom to downstairs bathroom was somewhat challenging.

The concept of this hotel is simply amazing! We enjoyed the view on the sunset and sea out of the cozy infinity pool. The food was delicious and always fresh with a big variety. The prices were fair and good value for money. You must keep in mind it is an island. Jordan and the rest of the crew were outstanding and super friendly. They even managed to book us a snorkeling trip to Nusa Penida the night before with an incredibly professional guide, which made us feel safe all day long. The transport to and from the hotel was also organized by the hotel and was conducted by Rocky Fast Cruise which was also without complications! Once again thank you very much for an amazing stay!

    Location,friendliness of the staff

Poor ventilation in the bathrooms causing musty smells.Restaurant prices seemed more expensive than other places on the island

Fantastic view of the ocean and sunsets, walk to the beach and the staff feet so lovely. Best place to stay in Ceningan.

The pillows need to be upgraded they were a little smelly as was the bathroom. But the staff did their best to rectify the smell in the bathroom.

The Palms Ceningan is the value for money ? weekend getaway or alternative package holiday instead of the Standard beach resorts in Bali. Absolute incredible views overlooking the ocean, with extremely comfortable pool side furnishings! The Restaurant and bar are just great value for money! It's the place to go to switch off and have fun and relaxing at the same time.

    Nothing to not like.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation with direct beach access, Infinity pool and amazing views of the ocean and sunset. If you're a surfer, this is the place to be. We were greeted by Jordan who went above and beyond throughout the entire stay to make sure we were happy and comfortable. He helped with scooter hire, food, surfboard rental and even books. The rooms are simple but very comfortable, with big bathrooms and comfy beds. I loved the little flower arrangement they did to celebrate our honeymoon too. We had breakfast included and the banana pancakes were so delicious! As was the smoothie bowl. Overall I would highly recommend The Palms to anyone looking to stay in Cenigan :)

Are you ready for an adventure? This location is on a cliff edge of an outer island called Ceningan Island, facing west.Your adventure will start at the boat marina, Sanur Beach, you can book your entire trip though the hotel, which is recommended. Allow a day each side for travel. The ferry is a fast enclosed cameraman, it takes about 30-40 minutes to reach Lembongan Island where you will be transferred by taxi-bus to the Yellow Bridge, make sure you get help with your bags to cross the bridge. You will then be taken on the local Taxi-bus, to the hotel. When settled-in, you will find everything you need is available from the hotel. Basically, transport is now by motor-scooter everywhere. There is a hotel menu, but just ask at anytime and you will receive. We found all the staff to be extremely friendly and they did their utmost to make sure our time was enjoyable. We booked a boat for half a day and went looking for Manta-rays. Another adventure in it's self. Just before sunset, everyone appears outside in or near the pool to enjoy the incredible sunset with a cool drink of choice. I found all meals and drinks to be very reasonably priced.

Walking across the Yellow Bridge, for a couple of oldies was not the best idea, we could have paid peanuts to have our bags carried for us and ride on the back of a motor-scooter.

This place is a great find for families and couples looking for an escape from the other islands. It has been a few years since I ventured back and while there are a lot if new hotels and restaurants the islands quietness and charm are still present. As a surfer Secrets is right in front of the hotel. It's a great beach covered in sand at low and high tide and plenty of snorkeling wihen the surf is small. There are two swimming pools, shaded areas, lounge chairs and bar/restaurant to use until 9pm each day. Live music some nights and due to the small nature of the hotel was easy to meet other couples/families to enjoy the space. The staff are lovely were extremely helpful assisting with transfers, babysitters and responding to our needs. Thank you, Jordan and the rest of the team, for our stay.

    Nothing really.

The Palms was the highlight of our stay in Indonesia. Every expectation of our stay was exceeded. Fantastic, caring staff. The best views on Ceningan Island. Fantastic restaurant and rooms. Both families will be back, that is for sure.

Beautiful property on the cliff top with stunning ocean & coastline views . We stayed in Bungalow 1 with views from the gorgeous & very comfortable bed through to the pool area & ocean. The bungalow is well appointed & spacious. The staff & Jordan the manager were all very friendly, courteous & helpful. Also the location is great with a mini mart, laundry , restaurants & bars close by.

    Absolutely nothing! ?

once we worked out the pool had been retiled in a natural stone, it was fine, as it looked brown and not working on arrival...the pool is blue in the photos. Staff lovely. Our room had a strong unpleasant smell from the drains, but disappeared as the holiday when on

the sewage smell due to the stuffiness of the bathroom area... beautiful clean bathroom though and you just learnt to shower in morning and keep door closed. It is bali and Cenigans is beautiful, so it is to be expected as part of the Bali experience

    10TraceyPosted on: 11-24-2024

The location was excellent, rooms kept spotlessly clean, great choice of food that caters to all dietary requirement including vegetarian and vegan options, the staff were exceptional, attentive, polite, friendly, always available and polite. I highly recommend this place as it has everything that a large resort has yet has fewer rooms, which makes it more intimate and comfortable. The rooms are large and kept very clean, beds are comfortable. I cannot praise the staff enough.

    10MandyPosted on: 11-24-2024

The staff are amazing the view is perfect the rooms are clean and comfortable The foods is great too

The only thing is breakfast doesn’t start till 8am so earlier breakfast would suit us more but other that can’t fault it !

    2DaniellePosted on: 11-21-2024

Not much. The staff were friendly enough and the food was alright. But that was all.

Absolutely everything!! This property IS NOT 4 stars!!! It is rundown and needs alot of maintenance. The pool looks nothing like the photos. It actually looks green and a health risk to swim in it.There is no where to escape the burning heat. There is no shade in or around the pool. It is warmer than a bath!!The room…. Air con hardly worked. Did NOT bring the temperature down at all!!The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were lumpy and horrible. The bathroom was primitive; requiring us to put soiled toilet paper in a bin rather than flushing it!!The shower head needs replacing as it only trickles out. Bath mat/towel was dirty and stained. The wooden walk areas are red hot as is the tiled area around the pool. The view is amazing but zero access to the beach/water.The location and terrain does not allow walking anywhere. Prices of food and drinks are at a premium, and buying bottled water was not an option. There are no stores or restaurants nearby leaving you no choice but to pay the overinflated prices.
