Cons -
- When I let them know I had bedbugs in my room and showed them, they were polite and offered a free meal, i let them know I needed to pay for laundry and allergy medication (I have probably 50-60 bites all over my body that are very itchy) the staff kindly said they couldn’t do anything because of their manager, i let them know the manager could speak to me directly; and then they offered a 50% discount. They maintained kindness through out but I was disappointed that they did not offer better resolution and I had to push gently . The manager never spoke with me unfortunately .
- No hot water in basin to shave
- We unfortunately didn’t feel very welcome and decide not to extend our stay here. We got mistaken twice for someone else and were asked so sign other bills even if there was only like 8 rooms to keep track of. The only place that took a deposit, eaither 700k or passport. In the room there was a list of all items and their value if lost from lamp shades and bed linnen to the cork screw. We never had this before and felt almost like we didn’t dare to touch anything. Maybe this was because we made our booking on Booking.com, but our hope was to do this as a yoga & surf retreat. We couldn’t book that as a package. We asked the hotel when checking in and they forwarded us to a ”activity booking” what’s app phone no. Took a day to get respons and just got told to check with reception. Went back to reception and just got the yoga schedule in my hand. Just felt like being ”passing on”, no one wanted to help us. We went to the Monkey surfing ourselves to try to book but they were full. Went to a yoga class and that was the most stressful I’ve ever experienced. The power lady screaming ”inhale exhale” with the same energy as she was screaming ”action” for a movie. Loudly counting down on every pose. The level of the class was good, but the stress level were just high and felt more like a gym session. The reception/shop front door was locked in the night but the back door to our rooms were always left wide open. In Bali we have only met friendly and helpful people and this was the first place we didn’t feel so.

Good location and nice room

Isla Indah is clean, comfy and in a good location
We got a nice welcome drink and the shop area hold a high standard for both clothing and products. You could refill your water. Location is good with a short walk from the beach and located on the same street as many restaurants. Room were spacious, a bit of a wierd corner in the end with no decoration, looked a bit forgotten. Big bathrooms but would appreciate towel hangers close to the shower and not above the toilet didn’t feel to fresh having them there.

Good position. The room was clean and comfortable.
The description was a bit misleading. The place is very small and breakfast is at a cost and so are the yoga classes. For the price of the stay, both should be complimentary. The pool was more like a fish pond. Very small and dirty.
The staff is very welcoming, friendly and super helpful. We had a few special requests which they made no hesitation to help us out with. The room was clean and tidy
The room on the first floor was not as private so we would recommend a top floor room, as people can look straight into the room if you don't close the curtains and with curtains closed the room is completely dark.
Window open in the shower with view on the garden
The booking description is not accurate. Be ready to pay for everything even if you feel that yoga will be complimentary and discover that the beautiful pictures lead you to a very tiny pool. Be ready also for some staff in the team that is not mature and professional at all.
I stayed for 5 nights and absolutely loved it, it has a really relaxing boutique hotel feel and I loved having yoga and sound healing etc on site. The food and smoothies in the restaurant are delicious and the staff are so lovely. I also bought a pack of surf lessons through monkey surfing who are great, Khal is the best surf teacher I’ve ever had and it was great to have actual surf theory lessons!
There are other cheaper places to stay nearby but I’m glad I spent more to stay here. The floor around the pool and garden area is sandy so it’s not great if you like a pool to escape the sand on the beach
The location was central to boutique shops and trendy restaurants. Loved it
The bed was alittle too hard for me
Yoga, food, staff, nice clean room, good location, this is quite cool place to stay for a night or two, however it is not a resort that you will lay around the pool all day drinking cocktails. Not that kind of place. We pay a very reasonable price.
Bed to hard (however this common in Bali).
Warm welcome, excellent staff, very clean and comfortable.
Pool a bit small.
The room was very nice
The bathrooms could be updated and it was so expensive compare to the rest of the island. The room weren’t cleaned the 3 night i stayed. For that price they could clean the room every day and offer breakfast
I really like a shabby chic deco. Room is very clean, conformable and all staff are very kind and so lovely, of course Maria:) They will arrange activities such as a snorkelling etc… if you wish. They are very easy to talk to and I had always someone to talk to, I felt like I was not doing solo trip during the stay. I have to highlight that very convenient to go to yoga classes and I was lucky to attended 4 classes. I had Indra’s classes and I really like his approach towards yoga lessens. Great outcome is light neck aching was gone and feel energised. I really enjoy staying Isla Indah Retreat and really pretty place to stay and welcomed by great staff. Strongly recommend!
Property was conveniently located. Very spacious rooms
Not very clean - the bedding in particular Staff were ok but not super helpful
Pretty good location
Very overpriced for what it is advertised to be.Furnishing is lacking and very very basicDon’t get fooled by the photos as it’s portrayed different. The owner appeared to be on site but was unfriendly.Apart from all of this the vibe was really strange.Such a pity
The staff were super helpful, they gave me a ride to places a couple of times on the back of their motorbikes since it is a little tricky getting around the island. Zaki was always very friendly and helpful! The restaurant at the hotel is very good. It was also easy to organise snorkelling trip, surfing etc from there. They do packages for this if you contact them in advance. It was also great having the yoga studio on site and the class packages they do with smoothies included. Rooms were lovely, well set out and nicely decorated, and the kimonos and incense in the room was a nice touch. Very close to the beach and lots of restaurant, Ohana’s beach club / Ginger & Jamu etc where you can see amazing sunsets.
Overall it was quite expensive compared to other accommodation in Bali but the island is a little more expensive in general. There wasn’t anywhere to hang clothes in the room at all - the furniture all looked lovely but wasn’t very practical. There was just a couple of drawers under the bed and a kind of shelf/display unit. It was a shame there wasn’t any tea/coffee provided although there was a kettle in the room. The room was not cleaned during my 5 night stay which was fine, but I would have expected it for the price. The pool area is a slightly odd setup, it’s raised up off the ground with outdoor sofas nearby but you need to walk through the dirt in bare feet to get to it. it’s not the most inviting but still, a nice addition to have at the property.
The place was one of the best we stayed in. The rooms were beautiful and like brand new. They are also extremely clean. The bathroom was also lovely and again one of the best we have had in Bali! I honestly couldn’t fault the place!
Peaceful and very pretty
The bed and the pool was too small no umbrellas or shaded area for beds
It was nice and looked nice and reasonable quiet
We stayed for 5 nights and they never cleaned the roomOnce and it got rather dirty with the dirt outside. Also the pool area could have been better
Great location, gorgeous kind, and helpful staff. Peaceful vibe.
