Deep Roots Dive & Yoga Resort

Beautiful layout and very nice pool. All staff were warm and welcoming. The food was delicious, the mocktails and healthy drinks were also delicious. Anyone complaining about the food is delusional, same goes for the narrow roads, bugs, etc.

Deep Roots Nusa Penida is a real paradise. The facilities are modern, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed with strong environmental consciousness.We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade from a garden view to a mountain view, and the view from our balcony was absolutely stunning—even with cloudy weather most days, it was still magical.The hotel offers a wide variety of experiences, including yoga classes, diving courses, meditation, and cooking classes. We attended a yoga class, which was excellent and very well guided. My husband took a diving refresher course and mentioned that the team was extremely professional and placed a strong emphasis on safety.We also joined the cooking class, which was fantastic—fun, interactive, and delicious. On top of that, we went snorkeling and diving, and both experiences were truly amazing.What really makes this place special is the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. Their warmth and professionalism made our stay unforgettable.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful, relaxing, and adventure-filled stay in Nusa Penida

The facilities are great. The room was super clean everyday. The view was amazing. I loved it! Swimming pool is more than enough. Nice place to chill if you’re tired of walking and traveling around the island.

There is one thing that I have to mention. I traveled whole my life around the world. I’ve been to many different countries, stayed at lots of hotels. To me the most important thing when I’m at a hotel is to feel as a “guest”, and not as a “client”. Of course I pay to stay there. It is a business. But accommodation business is not only about taking your money and giving you a bed. Unfortunately this place made me feel like just a client who pays money. I’ll give an example that disappointed me and my wife a lot. We completed the check out process, went out to see one more beach. When we got back we asked the reception to call a driver to go to the harbour. While waiting for the driver, we went to the restaurant and asked the receptionist to let us know once the driver is there. One of the waitresses came to us and asked us if we would like to get our afternoon tea because it was afternoon tea time at the hotel. We were not thinking of asking for tea or something, but as she offered, we thought she was being nice and said yes to the tea. She went back to the bar. And probably her colleague told her that we already checked out. She came back to us and said, “sorry you checked out, you can’t get afternoon tea anymore”. There is no problem whether we drink tea or not. But you offered it already, this is exactly what is called “hospitality”. This is very sad for such a hotel. If you give me one more tea which I didn’t even ask for but you offered, how much are you going to lose? Maybe 1 euro? Unfortunately they have no clue about having a guest. We felt like “wow, we paid the money, they took our money and once our time is over, we are just no one for them”. This is not what Nusa Penida is about. We felt peace, nature, serenity in this cute island. This is not the right place to bargain for a cup of tea… sometimes small things show the big fact behind artificial smiles…

The best hotel I ever stayed in Bali !! I love my room so much, it’s beautiful and calm while I feel stay connected with the natural through the door, and especially the huge bathroom.The restaurant has above average quality food,and the staff are friendly and efficient. The pool view looks amazing!I would definitely come back again!

Only thing that annoyed me a bit was there were way too many flies around the restaurant,I need to fight them so much while I’m eating, it’s exhausting and I can’t really enjoy my food.

Everything! The resort, staff and management were amazing. We wanted a place to relax and lounge at after traveling around Bali for two weeks, which the resort met. Our rooms were comfortable, clean and when we needed resupplies for our coffees or towels, we received them within minutes, the service was amazing! We also appreciated the attention to detail the resort offered visually and thoughtfully to make you feel at home with privacy but also making you feel pampered at the same time. A typical day would be waking up and doing Yoga before breakfast at the beautiful, lively restaurant. Followed by either a diving lesson or a tour around the island which was easily organized by the resort. The afternoon was spent lounging by the pool, reading a book, relaxing or playing in the pool with the kids. Finishing the day off with a tasty meal at the restaurant.

Lovely play to stay, we enjoyed our room so much, very big and comfortable, super clean. The environment of the hotel is beautiful as well, staff is great, food is really good as well, we had massages, attended meditation, all those activities were high quality.

The entire team was adorable, very friendly and helpful, always providing fantastic services with the greatest smiles!The view from our room and the restaurant & swimming pool, overlooking the forest and Mount Agung, was wonderful. We loved listening to the sounds of nature. And we also very much enjoyed the massages and yoga sessions too.Thank you for making our stay fabulous!

The view from the dining area was magical. Great location and very clean. If you are interested in diving this is the place to be.

We felt truly warmly welcomed by the amazing staffs there. The view from the cottage was incredible!!! Room was super clean and comfortable, everything was modern and well maintained. Wifi was also super fast! Everything was perfect.

Deep Roots Dive & Yoga Resort is a great pick for any visitors of Nusa Penida. It’s right in the middle of the island, making it a great base for trips out to the west side and the east side. If you’re going to Nusa Penida for diving, their dive shop is great. We went diving with them in Manta Reef and also in Crystal Bay, and both were excellent dives. The property has stunning views, spacious rooms, gorgeous showers, and an eco-friendly approach. The staff was wonderful (special shoutout to Sudiana and Peni, for making sure we have an amazing stay). The on-site restaurant also has delicious and healthy food options. Overall, our stay at Deep Roots Dive & Yoga Resort was relaxing, enjoyable, and exceeded expectations.

Really nice new property in Penida with really kind staff. Offering yoga, diving, trips around island and many others. Also has a christmas program for us. :) The owners of the property are also very nice and always made sure that your stay was pleasant.

Unfortunately some dishes were not so good in The terrace. It would like to season the food more. another thing is the prices for transportation around the island, for transportation 15-20 minutes from the accommodation and back 500k idr is an awful lot compared to the whole of Bali. even when compared to how much is paid on Penida for full-day trips to the east and west.

Deep Roots exceeded my expectations! I have chosen this option because of the Dive Center but the resort offers way more than that! The rooms are beautiful and big, the property is gorgeous, great food and so kind and helpful staff! Thanks Sudiana for having received us so gently and for being so supportive!

Beautiful resort, unbelievable friendly and attentive staff who were very welcoming. Little touches that were so sweet like turn down service with a little treat and bed time story. Delicious food and drink. Personalised greeting by the staff and manager and wonderful owners. Comfortable bed with air conditioning. Spacious rooms, fantastic yoga session. They provide activity tours also. A little bit out from walkable food and drink but they are happy to organise a taxi for you. They even did takeaway breakfasts for us. Really wonderful, relaxing, friendly, beautiful resort we did not want to leave.

Tiny bit out of the town so would have to get a lift somewhere as the roads are a bit narrow to walk on.

Staff was very friendly, everything was nice and clean, great atmosphere. Food was amazing. I can really recommend staying there!

The staff are very friendly and helpful, very lovely to deal with. I had a medical situation and they drove us to the emergency room for free and were incredibly accommodating. The place is cute and it's away from all the hustle and bustle of the main streets which is a welcome break after arriving at the busy port. The beds are comfortable and the area is quiet, and the view through the jungle to the sea is beautiful.

There are a lot of mosquitos outside and there were a lot of tiny ants inside both the bedroom and bathroom. I feel the photos make the place look a little more luxurious than it is, and whilst it's a pretty place, I think you really need to like the hippie/yoga vibe to fully enjoy your stay here. The food wasn't great, everything kind of tasted the same and was bland.

The staff was super friendly and helpfull! Our daughter enjoyed the constant entertainment by the staff en loved her stay. Everything was super clean. The food was amazing and healthy. Would recommend!
