Mushroom Beach Bungalow

The view of Mushroom Bay is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was very nice in only charging me for my one night stay despite the fact that I had booked for longer when I decided to leave and move to a more comfortable property. Also be aware that Google Maps gives the wrong entrance because the property is not accessible by car - it shows a foot path through the brush to a random back gate, but the actual entrance is a semi-paved path next to Mushroom Espresso that is much better for walking and scooters.

The bathrooms are in serious need of renovation and are very bare bones, mine was full of both dead and live bugs. Only soap was provided (no shampoo) and the shower was angled such that is sprayed all over the bathroom floor. The AC in the bedroom struggled, but was able to get to a tolerable sleeping temperature. The mosquito net around my bed was not big enough to fully overlap layers or enclose the bed, so mosquitos still got in, although once I turned off all lights/electronic screens, they mostly stayed away.

it came with absolutely stunning views and had great swimming pools. I think it’s situated at such a strategic spot where guests can really enjoy the beauty around the area

Rooms seemed a bit dated and could use some maintenance, especially the walls and overall interior. The design felt a little old-fashioned and lacked that modern touch I was expecting. With some updates and better upkeep, I think it could truly match the potential shown in the pictures.

Huts Not on the beach, bathroomNot clean, drain under zinc, entire bathroom floor, toilet and everything under water when you shower! Shower walls thick with white mildew and gunk! Definitely thought I itch after each night when I woke up in the morning… Bedbugs or bedMites! Huts need maintenance every whereas well as the path to the facility!

The swimming pools and bar was very nice and they played nice music in the evenings

The rooms were outdated and there wasn't even a hook to hang up a towel or swimming costume.The room had a short supply of plug points so battled to charge my laptop & cell phonesThe entrance to the property was in a poor condition, no signage of where to go and the path to the property was broken concrete and dirt, thank goodness it was not raining. I battled to wheel my suitcase to the reception over this rugged path

Location was fantastic. Views were gorgeous. The room AC was good, bed was comfortable, and patio was nice for chilling. The best part was the fantastic on-site staff, who scheduled tours, fast boat, baggage transfers, and taxis for us!

Stunning location over looking Mushroom Bay, comfortable huge bed, huge bungalow with a bath. The safe were lovely and excellent massage on site.

The bathroom needs a little TLC, as I didn’t have hot water during my 2 night stay. Apart from that it was fabulous.

What the property doesn’t have in terms of modern design, it makes up in location. Mushroom Beach Bungalows is located at the end of the beach on a cliff with easy access to the ocean. You can watch the sunset, watch the ocean and the boats coming and going all day long. It is just stunning and quiet. The infinity pool wasn’t working during our visit, but there is a second pool and a beautiful beach to swim and enjoy. We will definitely go back!!!

Mushroom bungalows - amazing in every way, staff are lush, happy to accommodate happy to be there. Location is perfect with great view, the rooms are stunning and air con is fantastic. Staff always keeping the place neat and tidy ??

That only one power point worked in our room. Only one bedside table and lighting need fixing, hard to read in bed.Shower also was a bit in need of attention, water system needs fixing.

This place probably has the best location in Mushroom Bay. It is right on the water at the end of the beach. Great spot to watch the sunsets. The cabin was nice and roomy with a large veranda that looked across the pool to the view of the bay. The bed was large and comfortable with air con in the room. The view of the bay from the bar area is stunning. It was so nice to just sit there watching the water and boats in the bay. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food menu wasn't very big but everything we tried tasted great. Over all we loved this place and would go back again

The whole place is looking a bit dated and needs a refresh/refurb. The grounds and pool were lovely but all seem to need a bit of maintenance / updating. Given that everything needs a bit of work I considered the price per night was a little high for the quality of the place. There were little things like the water would stop working occasionally and the wifi was patchy but they were minor things and you are on a island with limited resources

Lots of mould in bathroom! No fridge in bungalows. Bungalow stairs very very steep for older people. Were spread out, given 2 bungalows instead of 3 I had booked for. No tour booking or scooter rental at reception.

The staff were friendly, they swept the leaves every day but the room was never serviced. Feels like someone inherited the hotel but doesnt know how to run it.

The hotel is in a wonderful location on top of the cliff but many of the original rooms are old and poorly maintained. I looked at 3 rooms before I saw one with working airconditioning. However I later found that although it was set for 16 degrees C it probably never got below 25 /26 degrees. The unit was not big enough for the size of the room. Had to stand next to it to feel any cool air. Only saw 2 other couples during my stay. The place feels abandoned and no one using the large spaces set up for a bar or restaurant. Old scruffy pool lounges and no pool towells.
