Crystal Bay Villa

The location of the hotel was amazing, 5 min walking to Crystal beach to see the best sun set of the island, the breakfast was really good and Lia and all the staff is really helpful and kind, we really recommend

We had a small misunderstanding about the pickup time, but this was all sorted out later with apologies and a nice welcome snack.

The place looked good and relaxing. The pool was very nice, and the mountains and trees around created a nice atmosphere. Staff were very nice as can be expected from any hotel.

The aircon was noisy, not hot water to the bathtub, wash basin tap is loose. It felt like driving through a village to get to the property which takes away from the resort feeling. Having a decent road and cleaning up the area to make it look good would help.

The staff were lovely, they couldn’t help you more. All facilities were clean including the outdoor area and rooms. Beds were really comfy. And also, the breakfast was good value for money.

The staff were very kind and helpful. And the room was basic but clean and the location was excellent in proximity to the beach via a lovely jungle walk to crystal bay. Excellent value for money.

There are no luxuries (if that’s what you are looking for)

I didn’t like that they were doing construction work and that they mentioned this after I had payed for my stay. My bed had hair and the duvet had stains.

It was lovely and quiet

I asked to book a tour round the island and was told it was arranged, however it wasn’t. There are no taxi or tour offices nearby it was only as I got a taxi number from the port that we could go on a tour. There was also no dinner being served in the restaurant, and there was only one place nearby we could find, so it was quiet remote, but unless you pre-book something we found it’s hard to get around. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, the pool was nice and a nice remote walk to Crystal Bay

The accommodation was actually nice, pretty basic but nice- the rooms and pool area. It is in walking distance from Crystal bay beach. The restaurant at the villas served a delicious dinner and breakfast.

Crystal bay is average. The beach is so busy, the beach food is expensive and the toilets are terrible- and they makes you pay 5kpp. We actually felt very ripped off from the moment we arrived in Penida. Taxi prices are ridiculous as is food for what you get. And we live in the UAE, so come with a strong currency. The roads are shocking and the traffic is terrible- much worse than Bali traffic

We booked and paid for 4 nights, 1.1 million IDR per night, however when we arrived we were told our room that we paid for wasn’t available and were taking to a different hotel further down the road (advertised at 400,000 IDR), which did not have a pool, had rats running through the room all night and had huge gaps in the doors for mosquitos to enter. Dengue fever is rampant in Bali currently and my husband subsequently got very sick with what we suspect was Dengue fever. We left immediately the next morning and asked for a refund for the first night only, which has been refused by the company. We will be escalating this further, but a warning to anyone else thinking of staying here - AVOID!!

Moved to a far inferior hotel with rats and mosquitos, despite pre-paying a premium price. Horrible customer service, refund refused.

This villa suited us perfectly. Located just a 7 minute walk to Crystal Bay.The room has great air con, tea/coffee making facilities and a comfortable big bed.The pool and area are clean.The food was great. Although you do have to pay as you go, rather than settle your bill on departure.You will need a moped or a driver to explore the island. The roads are a little tricky!We absolutely loved our stay at this property, quiet and secluded.

The island is beautiful but it was sad to see so much litter everywhere. Piles of litter in the most beautiful places. Not the property's fault but something I wanted to note here for anyone thinking of travelling to Nusa Penida.Be prepared to sit amongst litter on the beaches ?

The room was clean and comfortable and close to Crystal Bay Beach and many places to eat.

Entry road needs an upgrade

The staff were very good, spoke good English, they delivered evening meal & breakfast to our room. Good WiFi & easy 5 min ride on Scooter to Crystal Bay beach.
